  1. Sorry we couldn't make it Terry. I thought we'd be done much earlier with helping my mom move into her new place. I hope it was a hit and great turnout! So now it looks like we're off the the Silverton pool in a little bit more some One Pin Short. This is night 3 of live music poolside for us.
  2. Oh chit, don't sweat it. Those don't have any issues.
  3. much better pics! lol Looks so badass! Congrats Bert. Now hurry up and get her finished soon!
  4. They aren't that difficult...mostly just time consuming. But like I said earlier there are a few things/ tips along the way that are pretty important. There's no special tools other than a short shank 5mm allen socket w/ swivel for accessing the lower rocker cover bolts near the firewall. As for the filter, I really doubt that would help much. The early (LB7) Dmax injectors are just a chitty design in my opinion.
  5. Do you have a chair? I think the parts are roughly ~$2500-3000. (The injectors are like $300 each.) Add about another $1200-1500 for labor.
  6. I can't believe it's finally time! Looking good, Bert! Sick
  7. Driver side bank: cylinders are 2,4,6 & 8 Passenger side bank: cylinders are 1,3,5, & 7 (It's opposite of a traditional GM gasoline motor.) Here's a little advise: Never change only SOME injectors on that year Duramax. Replace them all...as a set only (all 8). There are a couple reasons why. Sometimes you may have high balance rates on one cylinder as a result of another injector issue. Another reason is if one or some injectors are bad, the rest are very soon to follow. As for the required parts, here is a list including the part #'s. 8 injectors, 97729095 2 rocker cover gaskets, 97188896 8 return line seals, 97228933 2 return pipe seals, 97600925 2 fuel feed hose seals, 97251047 1 water outlet seal, 94011604 sealant for upper rocker covers, 12378521 fuel filer, 12633243 gallon of Dexcool coolant I hope he knows what he's doing. It's no simple task like screwing in spark plugs. There are a couple critical things along the way that shouldn't be overlooked. Good luck!
  8. I avoid Walmart at all costs. I will spend more $$$ just to shop where there are normal f*cking people from my neighborhood. Ya know....where people have class and don't go shopping in their god damn pajamas! Ughh I hate that place. I don't give a sh*t how cheap it is.
  9. of course. You can put it in reverse even with a trailer attached. duh! If you wanted some more power and it seemed like it was bogging more than you wanted gears would help. Figure about 500-1200 bucks though. You may or may not need them though. Eff it. Pull the trigger, buy the trailer, and then buy a 3/4 or 1 ton within a year or so afterwards like the rest of us did. You will be fine though. A 19 footer isn't that much for your truck. Quit thinking about it so much and go have fun! As for your brakes, all you need is a brake controller. About a hundred bucks and a 30 pack for install and you'll be styling.
  10. sh*t who cares. I wouldn't mind if I had to go back to having crappy reception at Dumont. Eff the phone all together.
  11. Nice! And dayyyyum...check out that rich guy transmission! BALLER! If I ever..... I can't wait to see it with the panels.
  12. Hey she's alive! Your truck can pull it. Loaded up it will be pushing the limits of your truck but everyone does that. You will want to keep your speeds fairly low when towing but I'd say it's do-able if you don't over do it. One thing to keep in mind is you will have to park on hard pack at Dumont because any where near a finger dune you will get stuck pulling out of camp with only 2WD.
  13. I wonder if they are going to start enforcing the rule about people riding on trailers and trucks, mostly like trick or treaters on Halloween. ?
  14. This should be an interesting build. Sweet ride. I wonder if Cole gives Dave any credit on this one this time.
  15. You're insane. Bring LOTS of water and shade.
  16. Here's another bump for this thread. Yesterday I went out to snap a pic of the sunrise coming up from behind the mountains.
  17. You mean the DP thread link I posted? No, I don't have them yet. That pic is from one of the links.
  18. Rushjunkie told me about these and I was wondering if anyone on here else runs them. They supposedly eliminate or greatly reduce the common hopping and sh*tty ride in the 3/4 and 1 tons. more pics diesel place link
