  1. I've had great experience with El Monte RV.
  2. Wow, incredible photos, Neal! Good job as always, especially in those conditions like you said. I love that shot of the razorback with the sand blowing off of the top! They are ALL really good though. Thanks for getting some really good coverage.
  3. Sucks about those dirtbags who trash our playground. Is that how they prefer it to look next time they go back there? I just don't understand ghetto a$$ people. I don't know about any more bitching about trash, but can't wait to see all your shots, Neal!
  4. It's gonna be pretty damn hot at Dumont until October. As for the VIN, they aren't too strict about that at Dumont, but Glamis you better have one or else. Are you from NV, CA...?
  5. Badass, Dan! Congrats! It's a good feeling huh!
  6. I'm heading down there now. Woods and Shanna are on their way and Tim is still somewhere outside of friggen BARSTOW.
  7. So Woods, what's the plan for tomorrow? Try and keep in mind that PT's happy hour is from 3-7. Otherwise I'm game for whatever/ whenever.
  8. I thought I posted a VERY fair solution to this but nobody has said anything about it. I haven't heard back from the BLM yet, but I will be sure to get some answer eventually. What do you think Terry? I think it is very fair.
  9. If any fee change needs to be approved by this RAMP or whatever it is, why does the fee have to go up? Why not down? Why not just balance the 2 out? $120 for an annual, $30 for a weekly. (I still think it should only be $25 but whatever) Think about it this way, the annual pass fee basically is going from $90 to $120, and then the weekly pass can just stay at $30. How hard is that? Terry, I know you are on our side but this is ridiculous. Yes, it's only $10. OK, so then they shouldn't make much a fuss about it then. My whole beef with this situation is the cost of a weekly pass at Dumont. It's downright overpriced. It doesn't affect me since I buy an annual, but I still don't think it's fair for those who only go for a day or two. Here's a quick comparison....it's only $5 to enter Lake Mead and use the lake and the facilities there for a whole week.
  10. I brought up the last fee increase when this was presented to me. I mentioned that in the TRT/ BLM meetings, we were casually and informally told a couple times about the possibility of fees going down in the future if they got the funding back. (yeah right) Remember the reason for the increase? The BLM loss some funding and staffing costs for large attendance needed to be made up in user fees. Well, now the fees are essentially going up by eliminating the cheaper pass. I think that the BLM should meet us halfway and do like I suggested with the cheaper weekly pass for those who can't swing the $120 annual. I also feel that with less attendance than ever, less staffing is needed compared to back when the fees were raised when everyone was refi-rich. So yes, if anything the fees should go down! You and I know THAT will never happen though. :worthless_without_pics: Times are tough and getting even tougher for some. So what do we do?...get rid of those cheaper passes so the poor folk can't afford to go the dunes anymore! Let's just hope the BLM can work with us and find a simple plan that works for both the duners and them.
  11. Ynot (Terry) has been brought to my attention that there is a proposal to restructure and simplify the passes/ fees for Dumont. Here is the CURRENT fee schedule for those that forgot... $30 for a weekly pass on a non-holiday $40 for a weekly pass on a holiday $90 for an annual pass with no holidays $120 for an annual pass with holidays .................. From what I understand, this is the proposal... $40 for a weekly pass which is purchased offsite -or- $50 if purchased on site / no cash, credit cards only $120 for an annual pass .................. Under this proposed fee schedule, there will be no separate holiday and non-holiday passes anymore. The BLM is trying to simplify things and also get everyone to purchase passes off-site, hence the reason for the extra fee on-site. I think that the weekly pass should only be $25 like Glamis. And as for the annual pass, most people can justify the $120. The majority of annual pass sales are the $120 pass anyways. I also added the need for a day pass, but I understand that would be something to implement separately from this later on. I already sent the BLM my input on this but would like to hear what everyone thinks.
  12. Lookin good, Bobby! Do you still have the ice cream truck music soundsystem in it? :B
  13. Loose Screws Offroad used to sell them at vendor row, but I haven't seen or heard from Ron (owner) in a while. He had heart surgery and had been out for a while the end of last season so maybe he will be back next season. He's a good guy and I hope he returns.
