There are other Sky Jumps in other cities. They probably just used those for the promo video. There are other videos on that link for the Strat.

No plans as of yet other than a trip to San Diego at the end of August. Some long-time friends & I are celebrating 20 years at our favorite party destination, PB. :drunks: That should be a blast! I would love to get at least one trip in to Coral Pink and Havasu. We'll probably be hitting up Parker a couple times this summer.

Well it's almost time to get this party started! Yesterday SKINNER and I started getting things set up out there by dropping off the haulers early. I am in space 2005 so if you see us swing on through and say wassup. -
I did, in fact, laugh at it a little bit because it was so out there. Do you feel any better now, Dave?

Hmm, I still don't see it. Maybe it's your monitor. On the other hand, the smaller pics like these (800x600) that I post on here never look nearly as sharp and clear as the full res shots on my pc. -
Crazy sh*t mang and so glad you are ok, JJ. I was gonna post up about your little hiccup letting everyone know you were ok but didn't know if you'd want it on the internet and all. Wish I could go on Memorial weekend but there will be many more trips. Better take it easy ol man!

I got quite a few decent panning shots in. Those are some of the better ones. There are more on my site, http://actionshutter.net/photos/thumbnails.php?album=39 , but I have even more I haven't uploaded yet. Drop down the f-stop to darken the pics? Not sure what you mean, Pete? Do they look too bright to you? -
Wow, great shots, Neal. Man I want a wide angle lens so bad!

According to their schedule they did, but that was on Saturday and I only went Sunday. I was really curious to see those too. Oh well. -
Wow! I've actually never seen that on a yukon xl or suburban. That sucks.

Thanks everybody. I was pretty pleased how the panning shots came out. Haha yep! It was a pretty kickass weekend. -
Do you think this rear shock set up will work?
dunefreak replied to nightime's topic in Sandrail Talk
Are those front shocks off of a dirtbike? :rainbow1: -
Aww that was you guys? I was looking for you when I pulled in but didn't see your rig.
-
Thanks and you're welcome :rainbow1: Good times, bud. No way. haha Wish I would have known that. I would have said hi. Thanks Rob. Having both cameras helped out. I had my shock and sand proof one in my holster (pocket ) for the quick shots when on a ride and the 50D in my backpack for "Pete's pretty flowery pics" and other decent shots when the wind wasn't blowing.

Saturday I rolled out solo and met up with rushjunkie and group. I'm glad I did too. It was a great day out there and the dunes were bitchen. It was a little windy at times, but not unbearable. Just enough wind to keep those dunes perfectly groomed all day. It was only a little annoying at times back at the truck since we had to hang on the the EZ UP during a couple of those gusts. One hand on your beer and thumb over the hole to keep the sand out and one hand hanging on to the canopy. The breeze felt great though. If it weren't for the slight bit of wind it would have been a tad warm in the sun. I was surprised to see so many people out there. When I rolled in there were even quite a few people leaving. Maybe they had the week off for spring break or something. Then the camp area had more trailers than normal for a completely off weekend. We saw a few other duners during our rides, but it didn't slow us down at all. The rides were just like a few weeks ago- sitting down almost the whole time and pinned in 4th and 5th. The transitions were smooth, yet most the dunes were still razored out which made it fun for some dune flopping. It was super bright out there. Not a cloud up in the sky made it a little unpredictable to negotiate the dunes until the sun got low. So overall it was a great trip. I made it home and was unloaded in 1hr 40 minutes. This trip only cost me a total of about 40-50 bucks too. Awesome! I'm not 100% sure if I am done yet. I might still go out for another weekend trip with the car. It was great meeting up and tearing it up, Eddy. Thanks for a good time bro. :rainbow1: Here are the pics... Heading out and seeing dunes in the distance! I always get anxious along this stretch of the 127 going down the hill. Road was in great shape again. DDR midget still hasn't turned off the valve to the river A bunch of action at the pay station for an off weekend Everyone still stopped and payed even though rangers weren't there. Pulling into camp Chillen at the south pole... Troops mailbox still looks great! Dumont is blooming After a ride just kickin back... some pics from comp... SMOOTH sand So smooth it made it hard to get traction at times (on 2 wheels that is )

I know I was looking forward to that trip as well, but can't pass up the offer on this. SKINNER hooked up the spot and twisted my arm. Damn...decisions decisions.
