  1. Andy this should answer your question. This is straight from GM Service Information. Fuel Filter monitor... "Starting in 2005 on vehicles equipped with the 6.6L Diesel engine have a new DIC message "Change Fuel Filter". Information about this message and how to reset it can be found on page 3-8 of the Diesel Supplement Owners Manual or SI Document ID # 1553021. The DIC will display "Fuel Filter Life Percent" on trucks equipped with RPO UK3 (Steering Wheel Controls). This feature will provide the percentage of fuel filter life remaining. The fuel filter life is based strictly off mileage. Once reset to 100 Percent it takes 15,000 miles for it to count down to 0 Percent and display "Change Fuel Filter" on the DIC." As for the oil life monitor... "When the system has calculated that oil life has been diminished, it will indicate that an oil change is necessary. A CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will come ON. Change the engine oil as soon as possible within the next 1 000 km (600 miles). It is possible that, if driving under the best conditions, the oil life system may not indicate that an oil change is necessary for over a year. However, the engine oil and filter must be changed at least once a year and at this time the system must be reset. If the system is ever reset accidentally, change the engine oil at 5 000 km (3,000 miles) since last oil change." "Engine Oil Life Engine Oil Life percentage values are based on class 2 messages to the IPC. The IPC requests this value when Engine Oil Life is selected on the DIC. Engine Oil Life is capable of displaying values from 0-100 percent and the OIL LIFE RESET driver warning will be displayed. Pressing the Select button for longer than 5 seconds while Engine Oil Life is displayed on the DIC the value will reset to 100 percent. Display appears as ENGINE OIL LIFE: XXX%." So in short: fuel filter: based on mileage oil life: based on calculations from driving conditions
  2. I personally thought the crowd was one of the biggest since the economy crapped out. Good turnout.
  3. Not sure yet. I'll probably just do burgers or dogs and keep it simple. Hit me up if you wanna follow me out. We can meet at a gas station on the way out if you want. ok cool, Thanks Jon No problem. I'll keep an eye out for him and snap as many as I can. I'll put the Mint on the calendar. Sweet. I'll give you a ring if we end up parking in that area. Who's racing?
  4. I change mine every 2-3 oil changes. There's no way I'd let mine get anywhere near 0% on the monitor. 40K Mike? I bet those people would think twice if they saw how much restriction that filter was causing. I remember Joe Duner went like 30 mi. I put a vacuum gauge on his fuel svc port and it was pulling like 20 inches of vacuum. Max at idle should be 5.
  5. Absolutley! Which casino/ bar will you be working Sunday and what time?
  6. Here's the schedule. http://www.snoreracing.net/next-race-outline.html PM me for my number if you decide to go. We can figure out a place to meet up.
  7. This is gonna get moved right next to coles corner if this goes any longer.
  8. Anyone else going out this weekend? Races are Sat & Sunday all day. I heard there are over 300 entries. It should be fun to watch. I will be there all day Sunday...grill, canopy, atc70, horseshoes, oh yeah....and cooler full of cold beer. :ahhhhh:
  9. Do you know the exact model #? If there is a 24 in the model number that is the length of the box, not the overall length. I have a 34TS or some chit like that and the box is roughly 34 ft. If it is a double axle trailer it will be at least 10K GVWR easy.
  10. What's this checkpoint all about? This isn't the poker run, Stacey. :ahhhhh: As far as right now I have no idea if I can help or make it that weekend, but I will try my best to do so. Cleanup is always fun and a great weekend to get out. However, Anna and I have had tickets for a show that Friday night for a while now so I might have to just day trip it in order to help out. I will keep you posted once I figure out how to do two things at once. lol
  11. That's nasty. I'll stick to the traditional method using fresh clean water. That grey water can stink after a long weekend. And as for the fresh water capacity being more than what the black and grey can hold...I'd rather have 2 full holding tanks and still have some fresh water left to rinse off with the outdoor shower than no water at all. I guess some people are a glass fresh water tank half empty and some are a half full kinda person the way they look at it. :ahhhhh:
  12. sorry Mike But once you have the steelco in there, you shouldn't need to grease them on a regular basis.
  13. Thanks Andy. I think I understand what he's trying to explain. I understand how the belts are supposed to be mounted, but it sounded confusing as to how Danny's belts were mounted. I smell a safety/ seat belt thread again.
  14. I guess I need a pic to understand what you are talking about.
  15. It's not that big of a deal really. Throw some rubbers on (gloves lol) and pack the cv's by hand just like you would with the other crappy grease.
  16. Just pack it in, pack it out, and shut the eff up. Let's dune.
  17. David, could you elaborate a little more in detail how these belts were mounted? From the sounds of your post, the belts were mounted to the seats. ?
  18. Camping World isn't WALMART, Pat. Hang on to that receipt! ...and quit trying to steal chit!
  19. Amazing! Good for you guys and the dog. Glad to hear that.
  20. This thread somehow went from a trailer getting seized...to grey water. Grey water IS sewage, plain and simple. Would you drink you grey water?
  21. I posted a pic of that thing from our New Year's trip. It was cruising by at Olds Hill. Pretty sick looking.
