  3. after installing the forks with new stem bearings after throwing in the new Lifan 110cc motor Cole's little Ava helped out matching hubs... where I stopped as of today More to come as I go....
  4. Dumont is a bit different than Glamis when it comes to places to park. It's just one big camp area. Just pull up and park wherever you feel comfortable. There are some small finger dunes you can park up against where many other usually park or you can go out far away from others the farther out you drive away from the dunes. Comp hill always has a crowd. The north pole is a place of interest since it is at the north tip of teh dunes. It's kind of a desitination to meet up after a dune ride. Dumont is much smaller than Glamis so it's no challange to get to if you are used to G. Other than those 2 main gathering spots, there aren't many other popular places. There's a memorial hill at the south end of the dunes that overlooks the camp area where people have placed crosses and memorials. There's also some old mines that people visit, but they aren't anywhere near the sand. Just go out there, park, and go duning/ exploring. The dunes aren't very hard to navigate through and it's pretty hard to get lost out there. Keep in mind there are boundaries on the outskirts of the dunes that are off limits so pay attention to closed route markers although there are few. Have fun
  5. Thanks guys. Kens Colors hooked the paint up. It looks sweet. Yea Justin, I am going to have to do some modding to mine as well, but it looks like it should be fairly simple. It just needs to be extended or lengthened a lil bit wider to clear the shifter.
  6. Some updated pics of my progress... My new Lifan 110cc motor, electric start, 4 speed painting the tank... tank after the base coat, before clear... painting the hubs. Looks like my tree is decorated with atc70 ornaments painted up and clear cloated blue parts... laying on the metallic silver to the frame and misc parts... painted up silver parts all parts painted up and sitting next to the heater for the next day or so to cure. Then on to some assembly tomorrow! As you can see, I have chosen to go with a Blue & silver theme...kind of a Yamaha color theme and it will also match the new rail
  7. old skool ride right there. :B Congrats Jon. I'm sure you'll have fun with it.
  8. Wow, nice work. The frame mods look great and also how the throttle cable goes inside the frame. How the heck did you get the pull start to work on that blaster motor?

  14. hahaa hell yeah Neal! The more photographers the better! Come on out. That would be great if you made it out to join in on the festivites. Even those who don't have a 70 are urged to come out and be part of the fun. It's basically a big ol party all day and night.
  15. I saw these the other day and wondered if they'd be good for Dumont. Just don't get too close to the fire I guess. lol Anyone have them or tried them out? They look pretty comfortable. Costco has them the cheapest... http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?...;search=Aerobed
