degreased & pressure washed the frame & other parts to be painted... Tweeking the frame & forks a tad to straighten them back out. Everything is just about ready to go to Kens Colors for paint.

Overall working time...probably 30 minutes to an hour and I was taking my sweet a$$ time. I worked on and off at it last night for a few hours. Dissasemble something, drink beer, get an idea, stop working, go to computer and price sh*t out and look stuff up, etc etc. Repeat that a few times. I'm actually gonna order up a Lifan 110cc auto clutch/ electric start. I want the 125cc and I kinda like the idea of having a clutch, but it just isn't very practical when it comes to grabbing a beer and cruising across camp (the whole point of having this thing in the 1st place lol). I hear the 110 still rips pretty hard. How much can 10-15cc really make a difference anyways? I made some more progress tonight. I'll post up pics in a few.

Just T-off the same headlight power source wire that goes to that terminal. That's what I did and my little LED tailight and my headlight run just fine off the factory stator or whatever it hell is in there. Staor, flux capacitor, hampster, whatever?

Funny you posted this. I was looking into the same thing since I started tearing mine down. I need MORE POWER too. If you get the pull start mod handled then you should be set other than maybe having to get the modded carb intake so it clears. I think dr atv sells the manifold. I hear they bolt right up and use the 420 chain still. From what I hear there's not much else other than on some I guess you might have to extend or lengthen the footpeg assembly where the bolt to the motor. I think the factory exhaust bolts right up to the Lifan motors, but don't hold me to that. Liuke I said, I am in the same stage right now researching it as well. Which Lifan motor were you looking at puttin in? cc? auto, clutch?

Well, I decided to tear down the 70 and give it a quick makeover. I will try and keep this thread updated with a build log as I go. It's gotta get done quickly since the regatta is right around the corner. before teardown and on the operating table... chain was super stretched out and the tensioner wasn't even doing anything... After dropping the motor out... Pretty much all torn down... Now the fun begins. Don't ask what my plans are because I don't even know for sure yet. Stay tuned and you & I will find out.

I told OGP I'd post up the wire that mine is plugged into. I figured some others might wanna know as well. It's the green wire in the 3 wire connector with the rubber cap on it. (I know, it's freakin filthy right now, but thats why its being torn down to be cleaned up. )

yep, he's asking about 18k-20k too much! Here are some sale killers for a car in the 20-30K price range: VW motor, VW trans, old school chassis design, seems like a funky suspension geometry.....I'd have to pass on that "deal".

Oh man that is great news, Randy! I've been texting Chris and he still seems to be in great spirits and doing really well. I hope the recovery goes quicker than expected. Thanks for keeping us up to date.

Killer shots, Neal. Great job and very cool you got to do that with them.
-
Yeah I know. We couldn't go though- already had other plans.
-
Congratulations, Eric. Bitchen car for sure! Beautiful. But to say this is a "keeper"? Those are some strong words. I'll believe it when I see you with this car next season. Now when's the maiden voyage? Let's dune!

you haven't caught on to the "x 2" shanangians yet?
-
I have never even heard of him or that show, but I just saw my buddy's dad on there! hahaa He was the dude at the end of the first video trying to sell that guitar. His name is Pete and he owns E-String bar & grill and AJ's Music & Guitars which is here in Henderson.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....nice! Oh yea........... :xmas2: f*cker! lol

I saw something similar at the sand show in 2007. It was a little fancier, but used a Raptor 700 powertrain and suspension. I wonder how that would even do in the sand though. It might be fun in the hard pack, but seems like a waste of a badass qaud to me. :xmas2:

holy crap! That suuuuuucks. That place was so pimped out too. :xmas2:

Oh man! I wonder what happened to him. He was definitley one of the original OG freestyle guys. I remember him jumping over the house in one of the Crusty Demons of Dirt films. He was very talented rider. Rest in peace Cinq. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

There is something I never thought I'd hear Joe say.

That's awesome news. Chris can do it no doubt about it. He always has a great attitude and that is gonna help him tremendously through his recovery. Thatta boyyy grimdart.

SWEET ride right there. Plllush. Congrats and happy birthday!
-
I kinda figured as much since Justin (in marketing) hasn't got back to me yet about it. I was waiting to hear more info on it. Oh well, more time to dune.

Very Cool, Joe. Congrats! I hear nothing but good things about those Razor S's. No he's not. He doesn't have the Funco anymore.
