  8. Our group sometimes has about 10-15 buggies in line at times and nobody even has or uses radios. There's not enough time to even sneeze...let alone talk to each other while driving the way we do.
  9. Terry, Smokin Al already volunteered as well.
  10. We wanted to give everyone a heads up where the checkpoints will be for the poker run. Feel free to print this info and map up and bring it with you this weekend! Schedule of Events 9 AM-10 AM: meet at registration booth, sign up, & purchase poker hand(s) $20 each or 3 for $50 10 AM-1:30 PM: visit each poker run checkpoint with your poker card. You will draw a card and your poker hand sheet will be marked. 10 AM-1:30 PM (optional): dune and find the mystery checkpoint and grab a raffle ticket. 2 PM: meet back at the registration booth area with your completed poker card sheet for cash prize giveways, raffle and announcements! There are 5 checkpoints to stop at to get your poker hand card marked. It does not matter what order you visit them in. Checkpoint Locations 1) Registration booth & checkpoint- located just across the gravel road from bathroom 10 2) south end of the camp area checkpoint- it will be up near the hills to the south but easilty accessible by quad, Rhino, truck etc 3) comp hill checkpoint- somewhere in the "spectator" area of the flats at comp hill 4) south pole- just look at the map for directions. It is located out to the south of comp at the very south end of the dunes near the rock piles. 5) vendor row checkpoint- look for the EZUP and poker run banner ?? mystery checkpoint ?? - This checkpoint will be located somewhere IN the dunes for the more experienced duners. Visitors will receive a raffle ticket for a bonus raffle prize which will be given away at at 2PM. No poker cards will be stamped at this checkpoint. You will have to go duning to find this location. You must have a poker hand sheet in order to receive a bonus raffle ticket. Your poker run sheet will then be marked that you received a raffle ticket.

Hope ya find someone to camp with soon. Most peeps I have met on here are great people. Try and meet up with peeps out there 1st like at the meet & greet and stuff. You'll have camping buddies in no time.

  23. Thanks Paul, yes I did, but picking it up asap also helped Matthew out and worked out better since he will be gone in Glamis till Tuesday or so. Not sure when I would have been able to go pick it up.
  24. Thanks guys. Yes I will indeed very much miss the Busa. That's my baby and pride & joy, BUT I test drove this car already and I am super excited about this car. It is incredible. It surpassed my expectations farther than I could imagine. This setup has pretty much been my dream car I thought I could never afford and now I have one. It's almost surreal. The busa is not sold yet, but I may have a buyer. We'll see. The details on the car are in the for sale ad here. It was a very nerve-racking day yesterday making sure I could do the deal, but I pulled it off. I jammed out after work to Barstow, picked up Woody, then headed to Fullerton. Got there about 10pm, Matt had some good azz grub waiting for us along with some cold beers, then we finally left about 11:30pm. We then stoppped at Randog's to show him & Grimace and bs for a little. We didn't leave there till about 1 am and then headed back to Woody's in Barstow. Got there at like 2 AM, I crashed there & hit the sack about 2:30. Woke up about 5AM and headed straight to Vegas to work already in my uniform and with the car on the trailer. Then I worked all day. Talk about freaking tired!!!! Time for bed!.
