  1. VR? Is that like Nikon's term for IS? (Image Stabilization) Sorry, I'm not up on the Nikon stuff. I'm a Canon mANg. Depends on what you are shooting, but it makes quite a bit of difference in certain action shots. One thing I learned, do not cheap out and skimp on anything. You get what you pay for. Every time I bust out my $1700 lens I am so glad I spend the extra cash on it. Its amazing.
  2. me either! As of last night my buggy is ready to rock. Got my shocks back, no more leaks, fixed a little fuel leak, and blasted it down the street on the paddles for a tiny taste of a fix. Mutha bitchezz! Let's roll ma fackas!
  3. right on I was pretty excited about being a part of this and helping out until the director decided he had to have silver sandrails. They told me it would be at least $500 a day (or possibly a bit more), especially if they wanted to use my hauler for the crew to come in and cool down in between filming. It sounds like alot of fun. Hope it works out for ya.
  4. tell them we will supervise you like always.
  5. Brett, I still have your DDR shirt from that last order like a year ago. It's in my hauler so hit me up next season or whenever I see you next. LOL
  6. I laugh every time I look at those pics. Fuggin GHETTO You guys really think thats hot?
  7. Busas are actually up there at about 175+ hp stock Just remember to keep it light. Things add weight very quickly when building a car.
  8. Looks like good times, skinner. Way to represent and make our mark.
  9. Beautiful rides, guys. If you are interested in being part of the filming, please contact lou@loudfilm.com I do know they are shooting for Aug 13-16th for the shoot dates.
  10. Is a ZX9 motor a 900cc? If so that might be a tad small for a 2 seater, but a small single seater it might work out ok. It might make ok HP, but the torque may be lacking. I'm not 100% sure as I am not too familiar with that motor. My car also uses a 5 link setup with 930 CV's.
  11. Well in that case if you aired down to 10psi or so you probably would have gone right to the top. It's amazing the traction you get with a drop in air pressure. I'd be kinda worried about breaking drivetrain components though with paddles on there. That's alot of hook.
  12. This is the best place ever for this smiley. Sorry Pat. In my dealings with this stuff I have found one thing. The more you get involved and try to make a positive impact, the more dead ends you will hit. The BLM does actually listen very well to the public and takes thier opinion into consideration at the TRT meetings, but it is a government agency. You can't expect there will be any stretching of any of the rules. Here's what you do as a duner...just go to the dunes, keep em clean, stay in bounds, have fun, and enjoy them without breaking any of the area rules. You are never going to get the enviro's on your side. In the end it's all about money (for them) and that is why they try to take away our land use privilages. This thread sucks.
  13. wow, having a bad day Jon? jeezuz I thought he was pretty clear what it looked like. I wasn't being a d*ck about it. Maybe just re-read his post.
  14. I think Paul saw your post above and assumed you were with Allstate. You made it sound like you were also with that company like me.
  15. yep, you get the best flotation out of street tires or all terrains aired down
  16. Did someone sh*t the bed in the last pic?
  17. I wouldn't expect anything less from duneDRUNKY Looks and sounds like an entertaining time. Congrats, Brett
  18. Yeah the pics do look great, but just like he said they were taken 3 years ago. he actually said how different it was from those pics.
