ok, so I just remembered I had these pics from a couple weeks ago. No, they aren't balcony pics, but they are a couple pics I took of a runaway Dmax that we had. It had a failed turbo which filled the intercooler with oil. (the tech didn't know it had that much oil in there) He got it running with a new turbo and bu-bye the motor went as soon as he gave it the slightest amount of throttle. It was sitting outside when it happened. (Thanks god- smoke was so bad you couldn't see the truck). As most of you may know, when a diesel runs away you can't really stop it. The motor just kept feeding itself fuel (oil) and I think it hit about 6-7,000 rpms before doing some major damage which made it shutdown. :ah: I heard it from inside the shop. They make quite a funny noise at that engine speed. :angry2:
