  2. compressed air, no glue 1. Cut the old ones off. 2. Put the new grip up to the handleber. 3. Apply compressed air to the other end of the bar. The grip will slightly inflate and you can slide it right on. 4. For the other one, just poke a very small hole in the end of the grip and do the same with the air. Works THEE BEST over any glue.
  3. That's because there's no option for "i'm just a jackass that doesn't go to the dunes anymore...."
  4. I have a buddy whose F450 is currently in the process of being bought back by Ford because it's an overheating POS. Does that help?
  5. Garden Grove racing enthusiast killed in dune buggy crash Robert Lowell Swenson, 81, an avid racer and respected figure in the racing community, died in a fatal crash at a popular Idaho tourist spot. By DEEPA BHARATH The Orange County Register Robert Lowell Swenson, a long-time race car driver and Orange County business owner, died in a dune buggy crash at the sand dunes west of St. Anthony in Idaho, Fremont County officials said. Swenson was 81.An avid racer, Swenson couldn't have picked a better way to say good-bye, said his long-time friend Les Phillips, president of the Buttonwillow Race Track near Bakersfield. "It's something you'd hear from anyone who is as involved in racing as Bob was," Phillips said. "You'd rather have an incident than end up in the hospital or an old people's home."Fremont dispatchers got the call Wednesday about a man who had crashed at the sand dunes at about 1 p.m., Sheriff Len Humphries said. Emergency personnel tried to resuscitate Swenson, but were unsuccessful, Humphries said. Swenson, a Garden Grove resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Humphries said Swenson’s dune buggy apparently went over the top of a sand dune, became air-borne and landed upside down after the dune buggy rolled over. Swenson was found still buckled in although the vehicle was upside down, he said. Phillips said Swenson was a well-respected and notable figure at the California Sports Car Club and the Sports Car Club of America. He raced at the club level until three years ago, Phillips said.Steve Henry, Swenson's long-time friend and business partner at PBS Engineering, said he hooked up the trailer to Swenson's motor home and sent him and his family off to Idaho on their much-anticipated vacation last week. "This was a shock, no one saw it coming," he said.Henry said Swenson was riding the dune buggy with his son, Richard, following behind him. But no one saw how the crash occurred, he said. Swenson and his brother, Paul Swenson, owned PBS Engineering in Garden Grove, where they design transmission systems. However, Swenson has been semi-retired for the last few years, Henry said. Riding dune buggies was something Swenson took over more recently and it was a father-son activity for him and Richard, Henry said."He was a great all-around guy," he said. Swenson hated memorials and funerals, so there won't be one for him, Henry said. He will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in specific locations "where he really had a good time," he said." He went quietly, quickly and without a fuss – just as he would've liked to go," Henry said.Swenson is survived by his wife, Carol, and his sons Richard and Eric. The family is asking that no flowers be sent in keeping with Swenson's wish. E-mails may be sent to info@pbseng.com or notes may be mailed to PBS Engineering, 11602 Anabel St. Garden Grove, CA 92843. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/humphri...9092-dune-dunes
  6. We haven't had any take offs in a while. IF the code is for a knock sensor, chances are it may need both (2) knock sensors plus maybe even the jumper harness. They are underneath the intake manifold, but it's not that big of a job. Water gets under there and pools up in the knock sensor holes corroding the sensor and connector. I can price the stuff out for you if you'd like.
  7. You have the E. I believe they came out sometime in the 90's. But give me the vin # and I can look up the built sheet and also have our parts dept look up the part # so you get the right one. Also is this reg, ext cab, or crew?
  8. this thread is sooo tired
  9. "...at the shop having both turbos removed and the engine de tuned" Yea, I also I keep telling myself I'm gonna take it easy, especially with the car because it get's a lil rediculous with maintenance costs. ...but at the same time, I realize it's worth every penny. lol Hanging with and and crew is hazardous to buggy life longevity.
  10. Actually, a filter change and flush would probably make it worse. seriously yes, 4L80E's are the newer version (electronic)
  11. Just curious and thought it would be an interesting topic. What kind of duning do you enjoy the most? Are you an adrenaline junkie and love to haul a$$? Do you like to just ride mid/part throttle and cruise? Or do you just cruise around and sometimes just sit in the dunes? Maybe we can get to know each other a lil easier and possibly hook up with the same types of riders next season. I, personally, can't get enough of haulin a$$. I also love just cruising at times and can totally enjoy that kind of riding, but most of the time I'm itching to keep clickin gears. :mog: :mog:
  12. Friggen rookie! You don't ride during the day! :mog: Ya hit the sand at about sun-up and ride till abou 9-10am and get then the eff outta there then. Brent I might be down. I will know for sure in a couple days and the I'll let ya know. Ragdoll & I were talking about going out anyways. Gotta get some more pics of the Lambo atc. :mog:
  13. Who gives a damn about the crazy lookin farm equipment. Where's the rest of the FSA pics from Oregon, Mark!??? lol
  14. oop, sorry! Bert pretty much summed everything up though. He is half right about not being a tech , but he does work at Hend Chevy with me. :mog: Call Greenleaf Auto Recyclers. They usually have low mile transmissions, engines, etc for pretty cheap. You might be able to pick up an 80 for a decent price. :mog:
  15. Pretty cool, Charity! Way to go and good luck with everything.
  16. :mog: ok Well all ya gotta do is ask next time. I wanted to go, but with my Snoop concert hangover there would have been no way anyways. lol I just wanted to give ya crap. Let's hook up the next trip.
  17. If I plan a trip and go...I will post it up in D Happenings
  18. Sounds good to me. So all I gotta do is provide the place? Sweet! You guys bring the food and handle all the cleanup and I'm down! :hatdance:

    UFC 100

Not sure why you think that, but I saw some good fighting equally on both sides up until they made the call. I just thought Belcher put out just as much as YamasakiHondamafacka.
  20. So I guess those grant apps got approved. Sounds good to a point, but also sounds bad at the same time. "Visitors may soon see a few changes to their favorite spots." Change isn't always good. Be careful what you wish for. I've heard some rumors floatin around about Barstow BLM and to tell you the truth...it scares the hell outta me. I just hope they don't "plan" to change too much like the previously mentioned FENCES and what not. So they get 8.3 million, and that makes you feel BETTER about giving them the money for green sticker fees? How so and why?
  21. ohhhhhh...ok! Let's dune. Sat AM the 18th? :atc: I see how it is. We call you when we go out and invite your wierd numbername a$$ but we get a no call from you when you go. what's this el presidente chit? I'm nobody. Remember?

    UFC 100

Some damn good fights last night. I think Belcher got robbed in that first fight. I think he should have won that fight against the YamahaKawasaki lol Japanese dude. Henderson's knockout on Bisping was crazy! "You got knock da fugg out!" :ah: It was bad enough when Henderson connected with the first throw, then Bisping's head whacked the hell out of the floor and then here comes Henderson with a final huge blow to his head again. ouch! Oh yeah....and Henderson got wood during the last round. :booty: St Pierre is an incredibley strong dude. That's all I gotta say. Wow. Lesnar was crackin me up with his lil spleel after the win. "I'm gonna go home, drink a Coors Light because BudLight doesn't pay me anything.......and I might even get on top of my wife tonight too" I guess his actions pissed off alot of people including his manager. I don't care...that chit was funny. He was flippin everyone off because he was getting boo'd by all the fans. They were all great fights to watch this time.
  23. haha, well at least chitty camera for this situation. It takes "ok" pics during the day. It pisses me off because I want to set it to take better pics but it only has the typical auto settings...none of which are suitable for low light and no tripod.
  24. We didnt complain. We might write a letter to the hotel for a couple of reasons, but we're pretty much over it. We had a great time. You the man, John. That wasn't Steve's girl. It was his buddy's girl who was in town visiting.
