then it sounds to me like it was a different company...not a GMPP plan GMPP has an automated approval system when we call in labor operation codes. They are either covered or not. 99% of the time they are covered....unless you are trying to call in a new PAINT JOB ma facka!

That's not even a repair, that's COSMETIC chit. :clown: Most things like paint, trim and weatherstrip stuff are not covered under extended warranty policies. That's rediculous to say you'd never buy another ext warranty again. I bet you'd feel different if they covered a $800 alternator job, $1000 water pump job, $8000 trans job, etc without even flinching.

oh my god...what's with those posters in EVERY one of your posts? -
huh? No I don't remember. REPAINTING your truck? :?: That's not what ext warranties are for. We deal with them every day at the dealer and I can tell you right now they cover all legitimate, required repairs 99% of the time.

oh no! Sorry to hear that Dan. He will be in my thoughts and I hope he recovers quickly!
-
whoa huh? My post was directed as skyz.

true except for GMPP. That is the only company that is close to a factory warranty (for GM at least)

Almost all ext. warranty policies on something old and with many miles is a POS policy and they will likely not cover most claims. During the time I did heavy-line for 9 years, I saw many motor jobs declined because of these garbage policies and shady companies. They come up with any excuse to deny the claim. If they do cover it, they send you a 500 dollar junkyard motor from an auto-salvage company. They aren't worth it.

Jezuz! So what kind of beer do you drink on Tuesdays in the summertime when you are feeling happy and there's a half moon and it's overcast outside?

Sand Car Association pays $600,000 for illegal vehicle sales

I just read this on http://www.duneguide.com/ Effen California and their clean air rules...even when it comes to offroad. Like these builders aren't hurtin enough already, they get hit with these fines now. http://www.arb.ca.gov/newsrel/nr040209.htm Penalties apply to 37 manufacturers April 2, 2009 SACRAMENTO - Last month the California Air Resources Board fined a consortium of sand car sellers $600,000 for its members' illegal engine and vehicle sales between 2006 and 2008. ARB investigators found that illegal engines and vehicles were being sold in California by several sand car manufacturers. The penalties from this case apply to 37 members of the newly formed association that were selling uncertified products."Industries that cater to off-road enthusiasts must also consider their product's impact on the environment," said ARB Chairman Mary D. Nichols. "Uncontrolled emissions from these vehicles add to California's already serious smog problems."As a result of the investigation, most major sand car manufacturers and some engine suppliers located in California formed the Sand Car Association. to ensure that its members build compliant products. The association's formation has resulted in industry self-enforcement and California certification of three engines for use in sand cars. For a complete list of the 37 manufacturers included in the settlement, click here. ARB is still investigating other sand car manufacturers that are producing and selling illegal non-California certified vehicles. Sand cars are off-road vehicles popular at state and federal recreation areas like Pismo Beach and Glamis Dunes. The Department of Motor Vehicles can revoke registrations of illegal vehicles; therefore, it is important that dealers and purchasers ensure that the vehicles are legal in California. Clean vehicle engines cut smog-forming emissions and improve fuel economy, reducing harmful greenhouse gases. Smog can cause respiratory problems, including asthma, and effects the lung function growth of children. The Air Resources Board is a department of the California Environmental Protection Agency. ARB's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy. The ARB oversees all air pollution control efforts in California to attain and maintain health based air quality standards. www.DuneGuide.com Sand Car Association Case Settlement for $600,000 Alumi Craft Inc., Santee, CA Buck Shot, La Habra, CA Carr One, Murrieta, CA CBM Motorsports, Ontario, CA Danzio, Lake Elsinore, CA DeJong Manufacturing, Murrieta, CA Demon Fabrication/Sinister Sand Cars, San Marcos, CA Desert Dynamics, Hesperia, CA Desert Off Road, Montclair, CA Desert Rat Buggies, Apple Valley, CA’ Elite Offroad Performance, Artesia, CA Extreme Fabrication, Riverside, CA Extreme Performance, San Bernardino, CA Eyeball Fabrication, Riverside, CA Funco, Rialto, CA Gary’s Automotive, Fontana, CA High Fly, Fresno, CA King Sand Cars, Apple Valley, CA Mosebillt Off-Road, Corona, CA Outfront Motor, Buena Park, CA Playtech Racing, Anaheim, CA Quicksand Performance, East Rancho Dominguez, CA Raw Motorsports, Temecula, CA Redline Performance, Anaheim, CA Revolution Sand Cars, Alta Loma, CA Sand Buggy Supply, Cerritos, CA Sand Cars Unlimited, Anaheim, CA Sand Limo by Joe Fab, Inc., Apache Junction, AZ Sand Storm Fabrication, Chino, CA Sand Rail Fabricators, Bell Gardens, CA Sand Trix, Gilbert, AZ Suspensions Unlimited, Corona, CA Trick Racing Sports, Yucca Valley, CA TomPro Design, Paso Robles, CA Toys 4 Big Boys, Corona, CA Turn Key Engines, Oceanside, CA Wicked Sand Cars, Riverside, CA

LET'S TALK BEER. Ya can't ever have too many beer topics. I'm a Bud Light guy when I plan on drinking cheap and a whole lot of em, but I always love a Blue Moon w/ an orange. I also dig "Heffie" beers and Hornsby's draft cider as well as a couple other ciders I've had. I think PT's has a pear cider that's pretty good. Fosters is some pretty good potent beer , Coors Light is all good (almost the same as BL I guess and I'll drink it), I'm cool with Corona as long as you don't drink one with any other beer , Miller Lite is piss, PBR is ok beer (did I just admit that? ) , Heineken is nasty chit as well as Rolling Rock, Steel Reserve :B , Natty Light ya might as well buy Dasani. That's all I can think of right now. Let the beer chit talk and opinions begin. So....what's your favorite beer?
