  1. I'm all about getting things off my chest, but people b*tch about stuff enough as it is on this site. Just start a thread about whatever it is. However, we're not going to make a designated section to encourage people to b*tch about stuff. I'd rather keep a more positive tone on the site and NOT have one.
  2. Saturday Don the camp host came over to borrow the backboard and I think some EMT's that were at the race. The rumor was someone in the dunes broke their back. Anyone hear of that? I hope they were ok.
  3. Get well soon Steve! I hope you heal up quickly. wtf you gonna bump this thread every year or what?
  4. Very sad and tragic. It just bothers me every time I hear this stuff about people RIDING ALONE. NEVER ride by yourself. His life might have been able to be saved had he had someone else there to help earlier.
  5. Oh so that must have also been your bro driving when I saw your car approach at the north pole when we were out there. I felt pretty dumb waving all obvious and chit just to be waved back at by everyone in the car and then the car turned around and left. "That must not have been Eric driving." I tried texting you because there was no way I was gonna hear you at Banshee hill on my phone but couldn't get a hold of you. Oh well, maybe next time, Eric. Oh come on. It wasn't that fast! Originally it was gonna be a 3rd gear ride, but then it turned into a 5th gear ride slowing down to a 3rd gear ride towards to end beacuse everyone disappeared. lol We did cover a ton of dunes in a very short period of time! I got back to Banshee Hill and realized it hadn't been much time at all that passed but we covered like 90% of the dunes behind Banshee Hill. Those dunes were killer! Dayum Ty! Be careful out there. Sucks to hear about your weekend. Hope you guys feel better soon.
  6. :beer_bang: "pow pow pow....look at that!" 1-800-HO-FO-SHO
  7. Looks like it's officially over a hundred out there as of today's highs. It seems like it might take another slight dip for those going out this weekend, but it's still gonna be warm. Time for the lake/ river and to head north for cooler duning. Oh and can't forget those epic early AM runs to D of course. :beer_bang: I can't wait for those.
  8. ShamWOAH b*tch let go of my tongue! :beer_bang: MARCH 27--Meet Vince Shlomi. He's probably better known to you as the ShamWow Guy, the ubiquitous television pitchman who has been phenomenally successful peddling absorbent towels and food choppers. Shlomi, 44, was arrested last month on a felony battery charge following a violent confrontation with a prostitute in his South Beach hotel room. According to an arrest affidavit, Shlomi met Sasha Harris, 26, at a Miami Beach nightclub on February 7 and subsequently retired with her to his $750 room at the lavish Setai hotel. Shlomi told cops he paid Harris about $1000 in cash after she "propositioned him for straight sex." Shlomi said that when he kissed Harris, she suddenly "bit his tongue and would not let go." Shlomi then punched Harris several times until she released his tongue. The affidavit, a copy of which you'll find here, notes that during the 4 AM fight Harris sustained facial fractures and lacerations all over her face (she is pictured here in mug shots snapped following busts in 2008 and 2005). After freeing his tongue, a bleeding Shlomi ran to the Setai lobby, where security summoned cops. Harris refused to cooperate with officers, who recovered $930 from her purse. "Both parties had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from their persons," police reported. In a brief telephone interview, Harris declined to answer TSG questions about her run-in with Shlomi, though she did say she is considering a lawsuit against the pitchman. Asked if she worked as a hooker, Harris declined comment. As seen in the below mug shot, Shlomi was also injured during the fracas and, court records show, was treated at Mount Sinai Medical Center. While Shlomi and Harris were both arrested for felony aggravated battery, prosecutors this month declined to file formal charges against the combatants. Police records list Shlomi's occupation as "Marketing," but make no mention of his affiliation with the ShamWow or the Slap Chop, both of which sell for $19.95 (plus shipping and handling).
