  1. I'm serious. It really doesn't show up. Cheese texted me earlier today to tell me I'm not crazy and he couldn't see it either. "WFC>>>> Who the F*ck Cares." I do! I wanna see the pic of me eatin chit on the 70! And as long as were pullin brand new acronyms out of our , that would be WTFC. WOFB...whacked out fuggin broad! j/k
  2. Earlier today I read that tech was until 7PM on Friday.
  3. Looks like she caught a wiff of sumthin.
  4. Sweet! Doesn't it feel good makin your own stuff and it ends up turning out nice? Good job Nick.
  5. oh christ, if it was a problem I would have taken it down myself. You always completely miss my point when it comes to avatars, Tim.
  6. Mid to upper 80's and JOE DUNER thinks that's killer weather? I thought 30-50 degrees in your eyes? Should be pretty nice out there this weekend. Other than some day trips, I think I am done for the season.
  7. really? The pic shows up for you? What is WFC? Would you preview & proofread your posts for god sakes!
  8. Thanks Lee. Means alot coming from a guy that knows so much about this chit. You're one fuggin smart fellow. :atc:
  9. I let the pic slide this time and then Tim goes and puts it in his AVATAR. Fuggin jackass! oh well Perfect example of give an inch they take a mile.
  10. You mean the lack of flourecent lighting? yeah, I had to have the aperature all the way open, bump the ISO all the way up to 3200 at times, and even adjust the exposure a lil bit. It was a b*tch, but they came out "ok" I think. This camera is incredible at high ISO settings. Usually there would be a ton of grain or noise at that high of an ISO setting but it's pretty minimal in these shots thanks to this camera. Thanks Jack. I found the sweet spot in the saturation settings to get the colors to stand out but not be too much.
  11. RK's boy, Kyle Johnson...holds the fastest lap time at the track his victory lap
  12. Here's Pastrana signing an autograph racing the karts 99.9% sure this was Jolene from Nitro Circus TP & Jolene
  13. Tonight I went and met up with Kenny (rhino king) and his son Kyle at Pole Position. I wanted to check the place out and watch Kyle run the track. I also wanted to try and get some Well, I'm glad I did. I had the opportunity of meeting Travis Pastrana. He was there with a few of buddies. No camera crews, no crowds, no attention whatsoever. It was way cool. The place was empty. It was his group of friends (some of which looked like some of the Nitro Circus crew) and like ONE other group of teenagers in the whole place. I gotta say, he is one cool dude. I pretty much just introduced myself and said hi. We didn't chat much, but he was very friendly & well mannered. I told him I was a big fan, nice to meet ya yada yada and he seemed very happy to hear it. I quickly threw him my card that has the website info on it and told him if he ever goes to Dumont to hit up the site and say hi! Not sure if that will ever happen, but I thought I'd throw it out there. What was really cool was he was kinda in a hurry since he was up next to run the track and almost seemed like he was being called to hurry up, BUT he still took the time to read the card I gave him. He thanked me in his typical kinda hyper super excited voice, "hey thanks man and nice to meet you too!!!" I was grinning all night. I look up to that guy- he is super talented! pics are coming of the karts....
  14. f*cker ok, that one can stay *edit....what happened???? LOL
  15. so where's the pic of me bustin my azz???
  16. 1) no big BLM dollars were used for any sandrails that the BLM has. One was donated by the Gesualdo family and the other (white Funco) is property of the San Bernardino County Sheriff. The last one (old azz beatdown VW)...well I can assure you no big dollars were used for that thing 10 or 20 years ago. :freakin_nuts: 2) the concrete pads were funded my a grant for Dumont maintenance and only that. So yes, it was "use it or lose it money". It seemed rediculous to me at first, but when certain funds can only be used for certain things, I guess it was smart to use it the way they did to have a better organized command center. It might make the difference of a few minutes in an emergency, so yes to me it's worth it. On the other hand, maybe that maintenance money could have been used for critical area fencing though. Maybe not.
  17. LS2 base? Then it would be aluminum. :freakin_nuts: Maybe you meant LS2 "setup" or "casting configuration". It's funny how so many people call thier motors LS1's or LS2's only because they resemble the same shape. :stir: todays lesson... LQ9 & LS2= same shape, but very different OK, I'll stop gettin so picky and technical now.
  18. I'm game. Let's do it! :freakin_nuts:
  19. It's hard to say because I didn't take the same pic on both setings with the same shutter speed. I just went with M mode, chose how long of a shutter speed I wanted, and then fine tuned the aperature from there watching the exposure meter. It was very difficult seeing which worked best because the LCD screen on the 50D makes ever pic look good. :freakin_nuts: In the end a 13 second shutter with a f/8 (ISO100) seemed to work pretty good when zoomed in on a certain part of the strip. Any longer of a shutter and the lights would be way blown way out. It's funny too because I got almost identical results slowing the shutter down to 4 seconds, but opening up the aperature to f/4. This is where I really started to understand how aperature size and shutter speed affect how much light passes through the sensor and what your final outcome of exposure is because of the two. :?: None of this would have made any fuggin sense to me a few weeks ago. It still hurts my head at times, but I am slowly grasping the concept. Trust me, I don't plan on messing with full M mode much more. TV or AV seem to work just fine like you explained earlier.
  20. Pretty damn cool, Ian. Good job. I kinda want one now too. :freakin_nuts: I'd love to capture some of those crazy Pastrana rides that I've been on with friends...aka 5th gear bumper quad rides. Ask sandseeker. :ah:
  21. I guess you won't have to worry about trailer tire blow outs if it never sees the road. lol :freakin_nuts: I saw this last week and forgot to post it until now. Pretty damn scary if you ask me! It didn't even fit on the ramp and the left side tires of the hauler were up on the side rail! It barely fit length-wise too.
