  1. oh helllzzz yiah! Funny chit and great job as usual Bob. SO damn true too! OGP with alheizmers forgetting his rail....:dumbass: I think that was the best part of all.
  2. You aren't the first one to ask. Time for the rest of you guys to start getting creative and make your own episodes since Bob doesn't seem to be very creative latley! :dumbass:
  3. Yeah I didn't expect much from the sunset pic. I pulled over and shot it out the window of my truck on the side of the road so my expectations were lpretty ow. I didn't have too much time to sit and mess with the settings much. I just quickly picked a shutter speed and snapped it. I hear what you are saying though about the low light & aperature. With the sunrise pic, I actually had the aperature fully open when I took that one and also focused it manually instead of on auto. It's funny. Sunset pics used to be the easiest for me to take. Now, they are the hardest. :dumbass: It's kinda hard to get a super sharp sunset pic without a tripod. Ever since I got the 50D and got more into this, I seem to have upped my standards of what I think a good picture really is.
  4. 6 degrees of timing at 6,000 rpm?.....what's wrong with that? Damn David, almost 500 HP to the wheels. Not too shabby! :dumbass: I have heard nothing but good about CBM. Congrats man. I bet you are stoked to take that bad boy out. Make sure to get plenty of pics out there of it. Have fun and be safe.
  5. FOUR STROKE ASSOCIATION PRESENTS: “Rumble to the Peak” – April 18, 2009 Dumont Dunes Saturday, April 18, 2009 Banshee Hill - 10:00am More race info@ http://www.fourstrokeassociation.com/
  6. As I get more and more into this new hobby of mine, I find myself searching the internet for loads of information. I'm like a sponge lately when it comes to lenses, techniques, composition, etc. Mike330R, 80grit & RUn2it have all been a ton of help along the way. So Rob (80grit) had pretty much the same idea as I did a while back to start a thread for a place to talk cameras and share photos. I think this will be a good place to share pics and learn along the way with the other duner/ camera gurus out there. This morning I saw a nice sunrise from my driveway and grabbed my camera to see if I could do any good with it. Then the other day I tried for a sunset pic of black mountain. It came out ok, but not 100% in focus. Slowly but surely I'm learnin this shizz, but that's the fun of it.
  7. Gonna be a warm one out there that weekend. FOUR STROKE ASSOCIATION PRESENTS: “Rumble to the Peak” – April 18, 2009 Dumont Dunes Saturday, April 18, 2009 Banshee Hill - 10:00am

  10. wow, talk about a blast from the past! :ah: lol
  11. Not sure if many of you read about this yet, but there are grants that the BLM is currently applying for and they are looking for your comments. It looks like there are 2 grants that pertain directly to Dumont Dunes, but please take a look at each grant and send (e-mail) whatever comments you may have to: Bradley_Mastin@ca.blm.gov AND OHVinfo@parks.ca.gov Here are all the grants that are on the list for the BLM - Barstow Field Office along with PDF files that you can view and read for the grants. 1. El Mirage Lake Road Development http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...01&fyr=2008 2. El Mirage OHV Ground Operations http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...17&fyr=2008 3. Dumont Dunes OHV Ground Operations http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...03&fyr=2008 4. Barstow OHV Ground Operations http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...38&fyr=2008 5. Law Enforcement Barstow http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...12&fyr=2008 6. El Mirage Twin Hills Planning http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...42&fyr=2008 7. Rattlesnake Protective Barrier Restoration http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...17&fyr=2008 8. Afton Canyon Restoration http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...40&fyr=2008 9. Juniper Flats Restoration http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...41&fyr=2008 10. Dumont Protective Barrier Restoration http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...16&fyr=2008 11. Barstow OHV Safety & Education http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...15&fyr=2008 Dumont Protective Barrier Restoration This one is for a fence around Dumont. Over cleanup weekend, I spoke directly with Brad Mastin and the "Dumont Protective Barrier Restoration" sounds good at first. But be careful. That grant is to pay for a FENCE ALL AROUND DUMONT. We do NOT want this. It would have to be approved first, but we'd rather them not have the funding for the go ahead for that. Read the whole thing here. http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...16&fyr=2008 In my opinion, if a fence were constructed all around Dumont it would be that much easier for anti-access groups to close the place off. Dumont Dunes OHV Ground Operations As for the other one, Dumont Dunes OHV Ground Operations, that sounds like something I'd vouch for. It is to pay for maintenance items at Dumont such as "Agency Maintenance Workers and Park Rangers work to clean restrooms and maintain facilities such as roads, signs, kiosks, fences and vehicle barriers." It's also for road maintenance and much more. Read the PDF file. http://134.186.25.134/designer/viewPDF.asp...03&fyr=2008 So please send over any comments you have to those 2 e-mails addresses on this grants. Tell them what you think and possibly make a difference at Dumont!
  12. too funny That looks retarded with those bottles taped to your hands. Wonder what people passing by thought. hahaaaa good times :drunks:
  13. Don't like the helmet flag idea? Well then I guess you won't like the a$$ flags. You just shove one down your azz crack. :ah:
  14. With that short little flag mast...I doubt that much at all. Put it in your chest protector. Awesome way to inpale yourself when you crash. I'll have to try that next time I go out. I've seen tons of guys do that. There's no way I would though. My homemade seat mount has lasted YEARS and hasn't ever let me down.
  15. Congrats Ian! I hear they are the bomb. Have fun with it and I'm looking forward to checking out some dune action footage.
  16. I read about this on dune guide's dune news page. Pretty cool idea, especially for 2 wheeler guys. http://www.helmetflag.com/
