Hmm maybe. I say we just keep it a DDR thing and whoever reads it from here is invited. We don't want it too big for the first one. I imagine the handful of people that are already interested will be a kickass time already. I did, however, make up a quick web banner the other night. I may put that on our events page and the homepage. ^ BaBerrrrrt

Yo Yamakiller if that was you that stopped by Sat night I'm sorry I passed out early. After 3 nights of partying hard and 3 days of duning hard I shutdown real quick after getting back from comp. I was exhausted and too. We did a TON of duning that weekend, both quads and sandcars. Good seeing you and chattin at comp though.

Hey yeah guys this is gonna be a blast! Not sure about the magazine thing yet Cole, let me see how many definite 70's are coming and maybe just maybe. I know peeps with Sand Addiction and maybe even Sand Sports connections though. Till then you know we have enough papparazis for gettin good pics. Hell maybe metalalien can even come out and get some badass footage like he always does. Together we can all make this a ton of fun. jorgeloco, sounds good man. Yes! Anyone else who can think of anything to make the track more interesting and can bring out flags, RR ties or blocks of wood, maybe a couple truck tires, etc please bring it. If ANYONE is interested in coming out to this, please go ahead and post up. I'll figure out a way to get a rsvp thing set up and get your name on a invite list so we know who all to expect.

The more I have been thinking about this, the more I am definitely down to help make this happen. Here are my thoughts. We have it 2 weeks after Pres weekend at the end of February when the weather is still nice. That will be 2 weeks before cleanup as well. (Feb 27th, Feb 28th, March 1st weekend) We set up a big camp near the first finger around C8/ C9 to make it simple for everyone to find. That and maybe we can incorprate the finger dune into our 70 track. Everyone from the site who has a 70cc atc or trx70 come on out and park together for the weekend. Even if you don't have one you are, of course, still invited to come out and partake in the fun. If you have an lt80 or whatever, cool too- bring it. The camp situation will basically be like the summer night drags. One big happy family. We set up a big ol course in the center and/ or around camp. Maybe we can bring out a chitload of cones, railroad ties and obstacles to make it interesting. It doesn't have to be a competition unless you guys wanna make it more interesting. Hell we can take it as far as you want. Contests and stupid prizes for best lookin 70, fastest lap, etc? Duniemonkie said since we are talking 70's we can even dress 70's style. The point is to just to get EVERYONE together along with some 70's and just flat out have some good times. I think it would be sweet if all these 70's got in one place and tore it up together. You know we could get stupid and get some kickazz pics. I'm mainly checking to see how much interest is in this. I already talked to Al T (smokin Al's BBQ) and he is down for this as well. He's willling to come hang out and cook up some GOOD grub for everyone in camp and that shows...as long as we get his costs covered. He won't be charging for it since this is basically a private thing between friends in camp. We're talkin tri-tip, pulled pork , etc. So if you guys think you'd wanna help make this happen, maybe it can even become a tradition every year. Let me know and I can start getting a rsvp list together so I know how many people we can count on showing up. We have about a month. Sound like fun? Let's talk.

Welcome to the site!. Sandcrazd Steve wanted me to get this posted up but glad you already got it taken care of. I might be up for the challenge. SIX POUNDS....OOF! Shitter's full!!!
-
...and get it shipped from ILLINOIS! SWEET! Let's get this going then. YIAH

How many fuggin peeps you plan on squeezing in your casa? Damn you even posted this chit on DD.com. If I am in town I will be there, but I was hoping to do a trip out to D that weekend if the weather stays as nice as it has been.
-
I'd love to but I just got back. It should be another killer weekend out there though! I was gonna try and swing a trip the following weekend. Have a blast and be save out there.
-
Yep the north pole is like a sandcar check station for Randog. "Oh sh*t...here we go! Get the pen and paper!" Seriously though, I think its cool too that you check over people's stuff. ALot of people just run hard and keep going if they have no problems. I think 99% of reliability depends on constant maintenance and checking chit like this. This stuff not only saves your day, but it may save your life someday! typo biatch
-
How often do you check yours? Every trip? Every so often? After stuff breaks? I recently jacked up the rear end of my car to do some maintenance. I was blown away at how loose some suspension components had become. It is crazy how things come can just come loose- even nylon lock nuts. I ended up red-thread locking all the bolts and nuts and re-tourqing everything. I have always been pretty good about checking these things, but I am going to make it an absolute habit of doing it after every single trip now. We push our cars pretty fast through the dunes so this is definitley a must do for safety and to prevent stuff from breaking.

no problem Danny...anytime You were kickin azz in that RZR.
-
haha. Well he was on the way to Dumont when some guy started waving at him to pull over. Mark was going to Dumont...he wasn't pulling over for chit. Anyways, the guy pulled in front of MArk and started hitting his brakes to slow down and pull over. Good thing he did. That rear cap had started pulling off the back of his trailer. He had to get up there, cut the wires, and pull it down. I don't think it got too messed up though. At least he caught it when he did. It could have gotten ripped off completely and maybe gone through the windshield of a BMW making it a WWBMW. We all laughed about that and took it too way far. "Yeah then the website would be www.wwbmw.com" fuggin stupid So WW owners, you might wanna check that upper rear cap that has the big tail lights in it. Yours may be peeling as well. His wasn't secured very well...only caulking or silicone on top.
-
I totally down. Hey Mark, we could maybe do a big group camp of everyone that is down for it, kinda like the night drags trips. Remember you were talking about wanting to do something like that before.... Maybe at the end of the season we could do it for a grand finalle trip/ 70CC regatta!
