Not sure what seal you mean, but RC Trans should be able to help.

Anna grabbed some video of the ATC action between @louB , @JVZ and myself on Saturday.

It was a super nice weekend out there. The weather was close to 80 degrees during the day and there was that nice, occasional breeze. Dumont was pretty empty, however, the dunes were full of buggies. I've never seen so many cars out there on an off weekend. There were a couple big camps that had been there all week running the dunes. They were pretty rough in some areas but cleaned up a little bit Saturday night. My car did great and survived yet another weekend of great duning. We got some really good runs in. I only managed to get the 500 out for one quick cruise on Friday, but every time I ride that bike it blows my mind! Saturday night we watched some Supercross and UFC. That moon was badass both nights. Duning, relaxing, and general good time just how a dune trip should be!

Just got back from an hour or so in the dunes and they are tracked out big time! There aren't many camps out here this weekend, but there are a few big camps with a bunch of buggies. Many of these guys have been out here all week running the smooth dunes which is why those dunes are now so beat up. We need a good, short wind storm to clean this place up. We're having a good time though enjoying the gorgeous weather. It's nice and warm with a slight breeze every now and then.

Weather is looking NICE for this weekend. Looks like we are linking up with @Metal_tech_motorsports, Rocco & Brady for camp this weekend as well. Should be good times. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/weather/

Right on, Paul. Let's link up. I believe Tom with the Hotrails car is camped with you guys. Lou talked with him about hooking up so I imagine we'll dune together at some point.

This is pretty much the line of sight to the tower I was talking about. -

Out by bathroom 3 or even further towards the edge of the bluff is probably the strongest. The tower is up at Ibex pass (the pass at the top of the hill on 127 going to Pahrump), so the better your view of the pass is, the better signal you should have. -
Sweet! Great pics. Looks like a fun trip. Thanks for sharing.

Anyone heading out for stuperbowl...er...superbowl weekend? We're going to make a 3 dayer out of it and will be out Friday morning with our crew.

Nope, working that weekend. I'll be living vicariously through you all.

Although the dunes were damp from the recent rain, I was loving every minute of duning this weekend. The sand had some good traction, but had just enough slide factor and was even dry and fluffy in some areas. Our dune runs were fast! Leading was much easier this weekend with all those distinguished lines. We had a nice sized camp of 8 rigs or so. The weather was awesome! I didn't take as many good pics as usual, but grabbed a handful of quick pix with my phone and point & shoot camera. Banshee Wars/ 4 Stroke Wars drew quite a crowd. The wet sand allowed them to park a bunch of RVs over at Banshee Hill. MMM, fancy cheese! Thanks Rod! (@Mustache Motorsports) We set up our roof tent to show everyone how it worked. Since it was up, Anna and I relaxed in it for a bit. It's like our own hammock in the sky. @RUn2it & @FE135 talked about the good ole days after Lee busted out some cool old photos from the hill climbs in the 70's. It's funny how many of the dunes are still the exact same shape. Rod & Blake put on nice G52 Funco show! Neal didn't miss a beat and grabbed his camera for some shots. I only managed to snap a couple. After our dune run on Saturday, we stopped on the sunset hill. Those Banshees went at it until the sun went down. Neal duned his FJ up the hill. He got pretty close to us after a couple attempts. The sunset didn't disappoint as usual. After the sun went down, Supercross went up! Thanks for setting it all up Chad (@Dent boy) @JVZ still had a Christmas tree to burn. I love watching those go up! Race gas in the sand. "Doc" tweekin on something. I snuck a pic in. Sunday morning we had perfect weather again. It was a very chill day. A small group of us went on a nice, slow "champagne cruise" from the south end to the north pole. I brought out stuff for breakfast mimosas at the north pole. Between the 6 of us, we all had a nice little toast to the great weekend. We hung out and enjoyed the nice weather for a while out there. We were in no rush to head back. This has become a new tradition on dune runs over the last year. I was surprised how many people were out there on a Sunday. Most people seemed to have Monday off. That's probably why. Anna relaxed in her "don't bother me chill zone" We stayed until the sun went down. Jason (@JeepingJay36) fired up his smoker and made everyone some bomb ass BBQ burgers! A couple last photos before heading out. Great weekend!

yes, I completely forgot about that step! It's probably the most important one too. haha I removed the nut completely in order to get enough slack to remove the chain. I used a small pocket magnet to fish it back through when it was time to reassemble.
-
If I remember right, I removed the shaft that connects the motor to the other side first. Next, unbolt the nuts on top that attach to those little carriage bolts (which you already did). Then, with beds removed (or the weight of them supported), I was able to pull up on the top bracket enough to pull the chains off the sprocket that is connected to the motor. Whatever you do, don't let the chain fall down in the side track though. You'll have to pull it off the wall to fish it back up. I remember this was a pain in the ass going back together because the chains sort of had to be timed correctly and evenly.

The weather forecast is looking GOOD this weekend. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/weather/

Yep, tire has pretty much everything to do with that.

Yeah it's looking like it! Let's do it.

It's all part of building a new car. You'll get the bugs worked out. It had to feel good to at least get out and drive it though!

Just curious who might be heading out for MLK. Hopefully next week's rain doesn't jack up the dunes.
