  1. Hmm Brian King told me he has Rick's build his up and he puts them in every one of his cars that have lots of lights and has had no problems. Is your guy using the same place as I'm talking about back east?
  2. I took my YZ250 out for a ride and it was definitley more comfortable than the qaud, but those huge ruts were brutal in the turns. Bike started running like crap (I think due to some old gas it had in it ) so I brought it back to camp. You're right though- it makes you a better rider. Sometimes the more challenging rides are pretty fun. As for sprockets...I run the cheap steel Tusk or Rocky Mtn brand ones and they work great and last. Might wanna start a different thread about that though so we don't derail the T-day report..
  3. Just got home. We didn't stay as late as we expected. I was exhausted and sore so we split around noon. Weekend was great! Weather couldn't have been better. I got alot of good rides in. Man those dunes were rough. My hands and forearms are feeling today, but the rides were worth every bit of it. We finally checked out Little Dumont this weekend. In the ten years I have been going to D, I have never checked it out until this weekend. Pretty damn cool! The overall camp area definitley had less campers than previous years, but comp hill was sure packed at night. Good times. I had a great weekend and hung out with lots of great peeps. Will post up more later with some pics.
  4. Glad to hear you are okay now and healed up. That's great news! (Oh....and welcome to the site too )
  5. I should see it probably monday or tuesday. I'll let you know how it turns out. What kind of problems have people had?
  6. I have pretty much this whole day to get the final things ready. That involves loading the bikes and a bag and hooking the trailer to the truck. Anna is off around 1 pm and should be hitting the road shortly after. Will do but not sure if you know where I will be. Swing by and pick em up if you see me, Nick.
  7. There were no theives. I guess it was towed because that witches eye that he was parked in was a no parking zone. Great news.
  8. Weekly passes cannoot be traded in as credit towards an annal pass. That was only done last year since teh annual passes were not available till around T-day. From what I have been told by BLM and vendors on site is that the vendors on site only carry and sell WEEKLY passes. That may have since changed though.
  9. I don't know the guy, but thought I'd try and help a fellow duner out. Spread the word people! :shout: I guess the guy got stuck in a witches eye, got a ride back to camp, then the car was gone when he got back to it only 30 minutes later. F*ck theives! http://www.glamisdunes.com/invision/index....=157349&hl=
  10. Sometimes it costs just as much to spend a weekend at the dunes as it does to stay home. I'm just sayin. If you do it right- it's not that much. Besides, going duning is like the need for oxygen. No matter how bad things are, ya still need it to survive. :clown:
  11. That's what you told me a while back about T-day.
  12. Great to hear progress Jon. Like Ian said, that physical therapy does suck, but it is really important. I had to go through it with my two broken arms a few years ago. Without it, the mobility of my arm movement would have been limited for the rest of my life. Stick with it and be patient. The payoff is invaluable.
  13. You have no idea the capability of some people's stupidity! We had a customer actually do this with his car. Well, it was his old man father in law who did it, but he did the same damn thing. I thought the guy in that link stole my story for a sec! He thought the oil was the coolant and that it was dirty. He thought that there was DIRT in his coolant and that is why it looked like that. Same thing, he thought it needed flushing so he pulled the oil plug in his driveway and ran the garden hose through the oil fill in the valve cover. He did this until the "dirty coolant" came out clear. THEN, he proceeded to FILL the engine up to the top....really....to the TOP with WATER. Water all the way up to the bottom of the oil fill hole neck. Mine, I know for a fact, is a true story. I had to put a new motor in his car. I didn't beleive the story at first when it was told to me. I then realized how fuggin DUMB some people can be. wowwwwwwwwww amazing
  14. psssssshhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiat....ME? Forget how to have fun? You funny guy! Have a great weekend down there, mafacka. You won't have yo gin drinkin parter w/ ya though! :clown: gin and 7UP's!!
  15. After all that! wtf? Have fun and be safe down there, Tim! Catch you next trip to D for sure.
  16. Very cool, Cole! Damn that's one big azz plane.
  17. Damn small world. Right on, man. I'll keep an eye out for ya. I should be somewhere around B7 or B8 on the grid map. I have a white Dmax pulling a 34ft Sandpiper Sport. Eff the weather forecasts. They are never right. Hell, it could say 40 mph winds with hail and I'll still be there! Who cares. STILL BEATS WORKING or stayin home!
  18. Either go to bed or don't click on the topic then if you don't wanna read about Busa cars.
  19. I was so waiting for this comment from one of you senior citizens. :dumbass: Like everything else, some things are fun while they last and then get old after while is all. It's not really the loud camps that I don't like anymore- it's the type of people that seem to come out of nowhere and hang out a little too long when that stuff is going on. "Who the hell is that guy?" "I don't know .... :shout: ...Fuggin get outta here!!!"
  20. haha thanks April. BTW, the story behind the pic is posted in the poker run trip report. I actually took the pic and he stole it for pic of the month. And ltr450- that smiley doesn't work because I'm laughing too so I can't be the guy on the right. <--
  21. Your Dune Pic of the month submission is now posted on the homepage. I fuggin KNEW it was gonna win you bastid. Good times.
  22. Sounds like a nice day at the dunes, Terry! Glad you were able to get a small fix. I didn't end up making a trip at all this weekend but I'm ready as hell for next.
