jeez, you're so edgy! :eatdrink021:

Stephanie, do you go through the Tecopa switchbacks? no! :eatdrink021: Then it no matta! :beer_bang:
-
:beer_bang: Oh for Christ's sake, just go duning and be careful! :eatdrink021: Does that number, whatever it may be, matter to you when you are out there having fun? No it doesn't. We all know it is dangerous and most of us take extra care when out there.

ahhh piece of cake. (btw: he already does too) Everyone makes those out to be SO hard to get through. I'm about 60-62 feet long overall and I have no problem at all. I think that trailer is 53ft. He's probably about 10 more feet than my setup.

Sweet! Good job! :eatdrink021:

So sorry to hear of your loss. It indeed hits you that much harder when it is someone you know or related to. My thoughts are with you and your group. Do you know how this happened?

Jon, have you informed the BLM of this problem with the open mines? Maybe it should be brought up at the next TRT meeting? It seems like an easy fix and something the BLM Maintenance would probably take care of if brought to their attention. Or we could just keep bitching about it on this forum and hope they do something about it. :eatdrink021:

yep I agree. I'd say about 99% of the time most of these fatal accidents can be avoided. BE CAREFUL, people.

Hey where did they get those Funcos from? :eatdrink021:

I like your attitude, Big Fella. I used to b*tch and complain like alot of the people that do on this site. (well...maybe not nearly as much, but it was still complaining :surrender: ) Over the past few years, I have done exactly what you said and have been proactive about certains things that I think need attention. I try and think of ways to improve things rather than b*tch about it. Luckily I help run a certain website where I can try to send a positive message across to duners that frequent Dumont Dunes to do things like pickup after themselves and be courteous to each other. In the past, we have even organized voluntary mini-cleanups of the comp hill area on big weekends. We have kinda slacked the last few trips, but it definitely has helped when we did it and hopefully it put the thought into on-lookers that watched us pickup their trash. Maybe next time they will pick up their trash and MAYBE , just MAYBE grab a trash bag and help us out as well. It's more things like this that we, as a group that care, need to do.

Nice car and sweet pics!

If you can donate some cash, just do it through the link. As far as time, I'll let you know if there is anything I can think of like picking up things up in town etc. Other than that, I can't think of anything else right now.

hahaaa, well not that sore of a subject...more of just a joke now.
-
Not a problem, bud. I completely agree. :surrender:

Big Fella you are correct and I agree with you, BUT did we really need ANOTHER thread about this? :surrender:

Easter usually isn't too crowded. It's usually kinda warm, but this year Easter weekend is March 21-23rd so it might be nicer weather. Here is the topic from Easter 06. I don't know if there is one from Easter 07...can't seem to find that one. There are some pics in that thread though. :surrender: http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/i...c=881&st=35

:mischevious: yes, I believe they are. However you would have to donate directly to them instead of through the link. Not sure how you'd do that since they don't have a donation link available. Maybe ask Vicki. edit: I take that back. I think the link works now that is on FoDD's site. http://friendsofdumontdunes.org/

It's never good to hear about these. I was wondering if anyone heard about this guy. I ran across it trying to find out what happened with the accident over the weekend. :mischevious: Coroner case #70080323--On February 12, 2008 at about 5:00 pm, Lawrence Castro, a 64 year old resident of Hughson, CA, was driving a Yamaha ATV when he lost control and rolled the vehicle in the open desert of Dumont Dunes OHV area, approximately 4 miles north of State Highway 127. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision. [021408 0716 SY]

:mischevious: Very good job as usual, Eric.

When it comes time to gather up the funds, I am going to get with Terry and see what they need most. If it means picking up a semi-grand prize or a bunch of small things I'll do that ...OR if they need help funding the t-shirts htis year, we'll donate towards that. If there are items that need to be picked up from somewhere, I'll let you know. Thank you.

Well I always thought Spring Break was early April. That's what it was when I was in school.

Hi Jim! :mischevious:

:mischevious: That was Woody's ride for the weekend (a friend's GTO). I think she liked it and just wanted to put her a$$ on it for some reason.

Everyone trys their best to give the credit where it is deserved. Terry (ynot) MAY have missed a couple last year but you have to realize that there were LOTS of raffle prizes last year and it is hard to keep track of every single one....especially when you have LOTS of people getting impatient in 113 degree weather. Unfortunatley sometimes Terry didn't even have the information for some prizes so he needed to just keep things moving along so he could get through them all. At last year's raffle I heard a name mentioned on probably 98% of the prizes though. I will make sure whatever prizes are donated this year a business card or name is physically attached to the item so that doesn't happen again. :eatdrink021: I appologize if your name wasn't mentioned last year, Mike. I remember you donated a very nice Sanp On tool set.

spring break? :eatdrink021: You mean like from break from SCHOOL? Isn't it gonna be pretty hot around that time for Dumont?
