  1. If you are talking about the Jeep Jamboree drags they are held on the flats around A3-A4 area of the grid map. It's a roped off area and plenty safe. Dumont doesn't have the drags like Glamis does where everyone lines up on opposite sides and watch people try to kill each other.
  2. I know right where it is and you lost me.
  3. nope hell no, I had to throw that one in there :poke: Is that a Quicksand car? If so it looks like the car Bob Fabel used to own. Bob is who I bought my red busa car from a couple years ago.
  4. BOO? Judging by what his "riding abilities" sound like I don't think that pinning it to win it is necessarily possible. Thats why I made a suggestion. It was more sarcasm that anything.
  5. Shouldn't this be in the Rhino section? :freakin_nuts:
  6. yes correct, but there wasn't anything to enforce. They were going off what previous MLK weekends have been like and charging holiday rates instead of Easter this year. This year has been slow though so it was hard for them to judge I guess. Don't turn the trip report into a discussion about passes and rangers. Everyone knows we already have too many topics like that already! j/k Now..... back to posting about stupid crap from the trip! :freakin_nuts:
  7. My point was that there isn't just ONE ddr camp :freakin_nuts:
  8. That was the DUMBEST and most thing I have heard all day. I will never get those few minutes of my life back ever again. Thanks! :freakin_nuts:
  9. Welcome to the board, skyskier. Glad you are ok!!! Don't give up, just take it easy! :freakin_nuts:
  10. good ones Now I'm gonna steal yo thunda and post mine :jester2: ... -when your toyhauler is plugged into your truck and your t/h batteries don't charge and it's acting like the main switch is off, check the main switch to see if it's ACTUALLY off. -"take off yo blind fold and open yo eyes!" -Jim (foxy~sand~snake) didn't break his rail this trip. Oh yeah...he didn't bring it. -I found out that some rhino rides CAN be fun. -OGP has lots of gadgets and toys -Painterjoe thinks pics of male Hillary's are hot j/k that was funny though -pauly and foxysandchick have cone fetishes and are addcited to asking for directions even when they don't need them. "Hey can you tell me where bathroom #1 is???" :freakin_nuts: -Anna hates her thunder stolen but is happy to pinpoint exactly what it is I do when I'm drunk. That was funny chit. -Vince (bevo I think his ddr name is) has small chick feet and a mullet like OGP's. Good times. -I lead some "scenic dune rides" in places where apparently wingnut has never been -woody doens't have a main switch on his hauler -crazy dave wanted to bring his rail because I was coming this trip but didn't -Randog had a dog from his camp that pissed on all our stuff "get outta here dog....noooo not you Randog!" -3 different funny quotes from the weekend: "Pauly, your missing a lugnut!", "We can getcha going in 30 minutes", and "It's just the tire." -black jokes are even funnier when it's MLK weekend -stupid squeeky red quad boy got a lil annoying at times but oh well -we can actually dune at a moderate pace at times. Who woulda thunk it!? -late night cheese :afro: 's are better when you have CHEESE. Thanks Brice. I'm glad I was able bring you & Mary up to pace on what exactly they are. -Joe Duner still wore shorts all weekend despite cold temps - "THUNDA....THUNDA.....I'M THE THUNDA STEALA!!!!"
  11. no...GPS doesn't work in that area. Has anybody even tried finding it that has never been there??? It's not hard to find and we have given pretty damn good directions in the past. (hint try a search) If you can't find it, your not worthy of the pole.
  12. Which one? :freakin_nuts: Your camp was a ddr camp, randog's camp was a ddr camp, GWH's camp was a ddr camp, etc etc.
  13. Damn Bob! That sucks to hear. I'm glad he wasn't hurt any worse. Thats pretty scary and yes STUPID to ride alone. I don't blame you one bit for wanting to sell his bike. Talk about some chit your wife has been through. Sorry to hear that.
  14. south of comp, follow the finger dune out to the nearby rock/ sand hill and look for the only big azz group of people hanging out in that area... It's not hard to miss.
  15. There are also the same landmarks on the maps page as well. If you scroll to the interactive dumont map you can zoom in and look where the bowl and other landmarks are. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/maps.html
  16. yep! "dude, your riding pants! " Check out this pic. jack, propane, pixie stix (whick pauly & Anna were SNORTING by the way- ouch  ), glass cleaner, Monster, and jager. They were all things that were on the counter at the same time that made for a rather interesting pic.
  17. Are you kidding me? They don't give us MLK day off at the dealership. I only planned on Fri-Sun anyhow. OGP and wsky70 are staying through tomorrow though. They're still out there.
  18. The bowl referred to as "the Superbowl" is the bowl adjacent to the camp area just above A3 on the grid map. I guess it's whatever you feel like calling them though. It's not like the BLM offcially names them.
  19. seriously...I wish that lame azz thread would just die I have only ever heard of the names on this page, http://www.dumontduneriders.com/popular_spots.html I'm not familiar with those other ones you posted. Never heard of em.
  20. Sounds good to me. Thank you for starting this post. It's nice to see someone else post it up for a change for the meet & greet. Sat 2PM, south Pole...I should be there.
  21. Got in a few hours ago. It was a very fun weekend and was lucky to spend it with some good friends. The dunes were a tad choppy in some parts, but overall were a blast to ride. I didn't get any super fast runs in like normal, but I was more than content with the dune cruises we did. The weather was perfect! It wasn't too cold at night either. We camped next to Randog, Painter Joe, Crazy Dave and all their crew. Good times as usual with those peeps. Brice (sandseeker) and his group weren't too far down either. Great hanging out w/ those guys as well. The meet & greet was fun. I was shocked how many people came out being a pretty quiet weekend. Nice meeting some new faces and putting them to some screen names. It wasn't like a holiday at all out there. Nice and quiet and empty. Sat night was one of the top 10 best times I have had in camp with everyone. That's what dune trips are all about. Grillin up food, some tunes, good people, laughes that made everyone's stomaches hurt, and just flat out FUN. I am too sore and tired to go into any more details right now, but thanks for the good times to everyone I saw and got to hang out with over the weekend. Maybe some "observations" to come later. There were some funny ones this trip. Here are a few pics... (thanks for letting me use teh camera Nick. The pics came out great ) painter joes awesome work... ranger station
  22. Ah man....you had to go there. I didn't mean it like that. anyways...that sucks about his car. Those axles seems to be all of a sudden causing alot of grief for many guys.
  23. you don't wanna know Come on, think about it.
