Big thanks for all who helped me this weekend
dunefreak replied to jackpunx's topic in Dumont Happenings
Yeah I know. I figured that out later that night. -
Well just to be sure you can call the BLM and ask them directly tomorrow. Barstow BLM office (760) 252-6000

Thanks everyone. Keep em coming. You may need to downsize the pic if it is too large. That is usually the main reason why people have troubles with uploading pics. Most new camera settings are set to HUGE picture/file sizes and the forum will time-out if it is too large.

That's cool you had fun with the new car, Mark. Sucks it broke though. Hopefully you get it all handled soon and we can hook up for some runs in the near future. Any pics of your maiden voyage w/ it??? -
slip and bleed from the AAAAAAAAAAnus (Dane Cook)

sweet! Thanks. Yeah I'll bring out it MLK weekend and see how I like it. It will be better than this old azz Sansung with the scratched lense and buttons that don't work anymore.

I don't think it was a Pentex. I'll have to look and see. I can't remember right now.

I'm thinking of buying a new camera soon. Yeah, it's almost time to retire the old azz original dune camera. Man it's been great camera especially for how much it's been abused in my pocket on dune rides, but it's starting to give me some trouble and doesn't take that good of pics anymore especially compared to some of the ones that members post up. I have looked at a few and kinda narrowed it down to this one we saw at Best Buy. It is also waterproof up to like 80 feet or something like that. That would work well for Anna as well since she scuba dives. I'm curious to see what kind of camera everyone has. More specifically I'd really like to know what kind of camera the following peeps have: wsky70, buggychick, 80grit, and Crowdog. Those are the few people I can think of off the top of my head that always take some really good pics. So please let me know if there is a camera you recommend. I don't want to spend a fortune, I just want a decent one.

That was a great trip report, Nick. I really wish I could have made it even more now. I haven't been on some good 2 wheeler rides like that in a while. Glad you had a good trip.

Oh Eric. Don't go gettin all sensitive on me now. Anna & I always enjoy your videos. No they don't always have the kinds of music we listen to but we thought the sword thing was funny as hell. Oh yeah...and I don't really give a damn if your bike is faster than my car. You are forgetting one thing- I'M A DUNER and I don't care about the hill. Let's go race through the dunes. All that matters is that it makes you feel better that you bike is faster though. ...and when did I ever say that was cool for a video? Wait, that does kinda sound like good times now that I think about it. You could make it fun to watch regardless. You do some badass editiing. Just don't put any swords or wierd sh*t in there and it will be just fine.

That's actually on the passes page, Jason. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/passes.html Tripleshot, there will be someone there (at Dumont) that Friday before the weekend of President's Day weekend. There is usually BLM staff there almost every weekend. Either way, you can buy your weekly pass from the BLM that weekend or from one of the vendors in town and tell them the dates you will be there and they will write those dates on your pass so it is good for that weekend you'll be pulling in.

That is actually the weekend I think we are gonna plan the Glamis trip. I just haven't discussed it with you guys (tres hermanos) yet. Terry and I talked about it the other night and finally set a date. I was hoping you guys could do that trip then.

Cool idea on the access panel. Although I'd hate to have to pull that motor or even worse...have to pull the head in the car.

Wooooooooooooooowwwwwww :porn: Eric you can really make some badass videos and it shows. BUT, the whole sword thing screamed "I have never gotten laid in my life". wtf was that chit dude?? Too funny. :porn: Good job with the video though. That chit cracked me up with the music transition when you were going back together with it. ^ YIKES! Dude, do you really OWN a sword like that? Come on!

Right on David, Jay, and Brice.

Crack your block???? Thats funny I would suggest doing it when warm. The heat helps loosen and dirt or debris from the motor and the water dries faster leaving less water spots/ etc. Just be careful where you use a pressure washer. Don't spray it on many electrical connections or underhood modules.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. We have them down to a science but choose to not do them anymore in our camp. They are just too damn dangerous. Luckily nobody has gotten seriously hurt yet, but there have been some major close calls. After my 30,000 dollar toyhauler almost caught fire because of flying buring debris landed on my awning I had enough. They really aren't worth it. Besides, it usually leaves glass in the sand that nobody picks up. Not cool.

thanks and your very welcome

fine for riding with no flag?

Get over it and move on, Ken. There's a fine line of what we consider appropriate. If it was taken down, then it means that it wasn't considered ok. There are reasons why the rules are the way they are. PM me if you have any problems with them and I'll be glad to explain the difference between a humping banana smilie and your avatar you had posted up. I'm sorry, but this type of thing is sometimes hard for some members (like yourself) to understand what we mean. -
ok Gerald..here ya go. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/passes.html#increase
-
Wow...badass car. Is that what you just bought? Give us some details. :worthless_without_pics:

OK that will be sufficient I suppose.

Well the fees are already posted on the homepage and the passes page. I was mostly referring to posting the reasons behind the increase and a little more info about the fees and the funding associated with them.
