  1. Oh geez! You think too much. We were talking about going to Hog Heaven for about an hour then right when we were about to leave you guys showed up. Sorry we hung out as long as possible w/ you guys but wanted to get over there before it got dark. It was good seeing you two again though and chatting. I think Danny is definitely finally out of his shell. He's a super nice guy. I'm glad you guys stopped by. We'll have to hang out again more next trip.
  2. That information is partly incorrect. The little boy was jumping and crashed into the side of the rail with his dirtbike. He was about 3 feet off the ground when he hit the rail's side with his front tire and his head hit the A-pillar of the car. The car was barely moving when the boy came flying into it. I talked with the owner of the car last night. He was devastated about the accident, but did not at all hit him or land on him. He said after the boy was air lifted out he heard the rumors start flying about how the rail ran him over from a group that gathered. I hope the boy is ok and recovers. He said he was unconscious for about an hour before flight for life picked him up.
  3. Aaron (SandYFZ) busted a chain right when he got there .... Buddy, Mike B, fabbing up some heat wrap ...
  4. This guy pulled in with a LINCOLN ...so we pulled him out. Here are the rest of my pics.... http://www.dumontduneriders.com/gallery/th...s.php?album=287 If anyone wants to add some T-Day pics to the gallery, I added a folder (Thanksgiving 07) that everyone can upload into.
  5. It was great to finally hang out w/ you Jason AT DUMONT. Your buddy Jim was a super cool guy too. some of my observations... -most over-used word of the weekend "OOOFF" -Pauly Paul can ride into a corner so hard he can de-bead a tire -buring turkey carcasses (sp?) is nasty but fun -Ball and Chain is gonna register the domain, duneroids.com, for Charlie -duniemonkie makes snowmen out of ice cubes at Dumont -2 Pizzaz's going full of circle food plus cheese :afro: 's on the grill and Super Troopers going on the TV: priceless :mc_smiley: -fast dune rides with good friends till your hands feel like their gonna fall off: also priceless -richardcheese isn't used to razorbacks -I actually took my truck to comp TWICE and didn't get a reckless driving ticket for driving in the sand this time -I heard the stripper pole and hauler came back out but the rangers put a quick stop to it this time. -15+ people siging karaokee in dunejnky's motorhome was hilarious. I feel bad for his motorhome though -a giant soft sand patch near camp makes for much entertainment but alots of pulling people out. "should we go pull him out? .....oooohhhhkkkkaaaaaay " -you can pull out almost anything when you have a superstrap. I swear by those things -sanddunessaddict's Tracker can suprise the hell out of people, including sanddunessadict
  6. The ranger camp was huge as usual although they were all gone and not even anybody at the gate checking passes when I left at 2-2:30 on Sunday.
  7. :mc_smiley: Great job, Eric! That is almost homepage material! hell yeah
  8. What did everyone one else think? It seemed like there was quite a few duners out there this weekend, but it also seemed like there were way less of the usual holiday weekend idiots. My only complaint was that the kids camped next to us were wheeling all damn day long right next to nearby trailers, but other than that I didn't see too much of the usual a$$hats out there. Oh yeah, and there was alot of metal stakes on the finger dunes, but I'm not getting into that at all again. Anyways, I wonder if the Dumont fee increase had anything to do with it. I heard Glamis was also kinda the same way though. Maybe it's gas prices and the economy that forced many to stay home this trip. Either way, I enjoyed it and had a great time.
  9. I woke up Thursday morning to see that me, sand~snake, and a few other trailers in the area (near bathroom 5) were paintballed. Good thing it wipes right off, but kinda ticked me off. I have never had this happen at DUMONT before.
  10. Pauly Paul limping a de-beaded tire back hangin at comp on Saturday This thing was FAST whatever it was dman74 BLM buggy camp area with the usual layer of dust at dusk comp and banshee hill view one of my new favorite pics Sunday AM about 9am or so- everyone pulling out my Z71 pulling out wingnut hahaa ^There was about 6 other people that got stuck in that same spot all weekend. Flipped truck on the way home...

  12. Congrats, Andy. You are the first ranter of T-Day weekend. :rant_on: j/k That's rediculous. He cleared your car and all??? Holy crap!
  13. Man what an awesome weekend. I had a wonderful 5 days out there. The weather was great, only windy a couple times. The temps were perfect. The dunes were actually pretty smooth except for the usual chopped up areas like the face hills. Thanksgiving Day couldn't have been much better. We deep fried 3 turkeys (roughly 60lbs total). We were able to have a nice sit down dinner in camp together with some old friends for T-Day dinner and then some pie around the fire with some good laughes. It doesn't get much better. I am exhausted. I didn't have my rail this weekend so I rode the quad and 2 wheeler quite a bit. We got some really great runs in though. It felt great to get out and ride. The meet and greet was a decent turnout, but nothing like kickoff weekend or Halloween but nevertheless, still good times. There were lots of people out there for T Day weekend as a whole, but it seemed more low-key and tame than ever before. Comp was good times. There was a lil more racing this time around. For the most part- no major accidents that I heard of. I missed seeing a bunch of DDR regulars out there this weekend. It kinda sucked not being able to hang with some of the usual suspects. Seems alot of DDR peeps had other plans either at Glamis or back home with family. Overall I still loved every minute of this weekend and had a smile on face at all times. Pics coming up....
  14. Glad they weren't too hurt. I heard about this from limodriver. What color was that car?

  16. I was gonna say Carson Rebel too. Although you can get a larger hauler that weighes almost the same. The dry weight on the Rebels is about 4,000 pounds. more info... http://www.carsontrailer.com/subs/trailers...h/fa_rebel.html

  22. I hear ya, but when all the $$ runs out there is always ways to make spare time. I have spent enough this trip already. I hope I can afford ice on the way outta town!
