Hell, I where that thing all the time!
-
It was just a joke. Besides I have nothing to compare Dumont to as I have never even been to Glamis yet.
-
WHOAAA, take it easy! :porn: I have never had a problem with Bike Bandit.
-
QUALITY, not qaunity!
-
ah ok, I think I get what your trying to say biong biong :porn:

Why? What changed? You gonna buy a holiday season pass now?
-
Just received word from the BLM: the new fees go into effect as of Nov 21st.
-
You can't put it all on Planet Sand. You have to remember that you can't control who comes out the same weekend to spectate. Yes, maybe they should have picked up more after their event, but Planet Sand gave a public appology regardless and organized a cleanup event from what I heard.

Oh God. You guys are being dramatic. Calm down! Of course they are going to film the crazy stuff and people getting arrested, but I realy really doubt that they are going to put together a piece that specifically makes DUMONT look bad. I doubt it will even have Dumont in the name of the show or listed in it at all.
-
I am sure all that will be discussed at the TRT meeting. Regardless, Vicki said they are anticipating on having the passes sold at Dumont for T-day. Also: Dman posted that NV Offroad buggy should have them as of Nov 20th. This is all word of mouth though. I am still waiting to hear from the BLM about the specifics of a updated vendor list that will have them.

Nick that shouldn't be news to you. That is the same info that has been on either the homepage or passes page for months now. I hear ya though, but at least turning in our weekly passes as credit towards the season pass won't hurt too bad. Just don't forget unless you don't plan on New Years, Prez Day or Easter, you will have to pay an extra $10 those weekends if you come out with just a non-holiday season pass.

Oh and BTW, I thought 89.99 was a damn good price for a Yamaha belt since they are $166 through Bike Bandit.
-
Thanks Jasom. That's what I thought. I was leaning toward steh Yamaha brand one anyhow. Just wasn't sure if anyone had any good experience with the Dayco. 1st off- I never asked this question before. I asked how long people have got out of their belts. So there. 2nd- If you can get a YAMAHA belt for cheaper than 90 let me know and more than likely I will take it. Let me know.
-
Thanks for the info, Vicki.
-
no, it was just a film crew for a TV show. The BLM wouldn't help them film it if that is what it is getting used for. They would all be out of alot of jobs. Dumont is one of the Barstow field office's main reasons for having so many rangers.

I'm going.
-
Has anyone ever changed theirs and if so what brand belt have you had good results with? I have about 2800 miles on my Grizzly 4x4 and think it may be time to change it out. I wanted to stay with a Yamaha belt, but I have seen Dayco belts on E Bay Buy it Now for 35 bucks. I may still stick with the Yamaha brand as they are only 89.99 (Buy it Now). I guess this thread also applies to Rhinos too.

Where the hell did they find a quarter mile conveyor belt?
-
I have been planning on going all along. I said on Sunday that the only thing that would hold me back would be the unexpected trip up to Utah but it doesn't look like that is gonna happen till after T-day.
-
I'm looking forward to making this meeting to be able to hear about these items being discussed in person. Hopefully there will be some new and much needed info about the fee and pass fiasco.
-
I read about this on a couple other sites and thought I'd spread the word to anyone who might be interested. more info link (must be a registered Planet Sand member to view it though)

My plans for going to Dumont for Thankgiving have been up in the air until now, but I thought I'd at least post up the usual place and time for the meet & greet. Anyone who wants to meet up and put a face to a screen name, meet at the south pole on Sat the 24th at 2PM. There is usually a pretty large turnout and you get a chance to meet some other DDR members and can usually hook up for a group ride. Where: Dumont south pole (south of comp hill) When: Saturday Nov 24th Time: 2PM Who's invited: anyone and everyone from DumontDuneRiders.com and their friends

My niece did the same thing the other day. That's very thoughtful and kind of them.

It's funny. Supposedly there is this huge shift or climb in temperatures or "run away climate change" right? Well if that is the case why is it that when you watch the weather on the news the record highs are usually set back in the 60's or 70's. Wouldn't that alone prove the global warming theory wrong? :freakin_nuts:

Congrats! What, no pics of the bikes lined up and the rose petals? :freakin_nuts:
