  1. o yeah I'm sure we could have no problem. I just really appreciate and respect to see other people that DUNE fast out IN the dunes. It takes some skill and I just like seeing it.
  2. No, Talladega is a different area kinda in the middle of the dunes. Nice big azz area to run some FAST circles.
  3. I don't think they are on DDR....yet. It was when we stopped to fix Joe's intercooler hose and Don was jumping that step up. The Funco guys were sitting there when we pulled up, then they started making some pretty fast rounds around Talladega. They were the guys with the helmets on in those cars.
  4. That far? You are giving everyone way too much credit. I say it ends up getting out of hand and getting locked well before that. It seems October has come and some people like to b*tch and moan regardless of what month it is.
  5. There might not have been a rock that he hit. We were just guessing. Bert said he probably just got crossed up. He was coming from comp like from in front of the white truck in the pic.
  6. yes he is! He's a cool guy. I was suprised how much he was around this last weekend. It was great going on those buggy runs together.
  7. ok I never added my "observations" yet, so here it goes... -ynot picked some fun lines and lead a great ride like always -barefoot bob's nose wheelies are awesome -ragdoll mx has a glowing cooler with crappy beer click here -doghouse pays alot for decals nice guy though- we stopped and chatted w/ him for a bit -DDR cul de sacs -Mary put em on the Tracker -The Funco guys we met up with at "Talledega" meant business. -I never met Big Red -bp-guy's AG car is even better looking in person -ynot still doesn't like loud music :rant_on: j/k -If you don't get good air in your long travel, the ranger will talk chit about you. -3 wheel sandrail action :shocked2: good times -apparently me holding Don29palms' lil dog in his car is hilarious -BudLightBob & buggychick's rail looked sweet! Too bad for the torsion problem -lots of dune time with some great people like always :fro_smokin: :shocked2:
  8. Sweet! Congrats. The best thing about a new hauler is when you drop your 1st #2 in the bathroom! It's worth every penny to have your own sh*tter out there!
  9. cool pics. Thanks for sharing, Pete.
  10. I pull that hill around the same speed (50 ish) pulling my 35 footer. I don't even look at the mileage when pulling hills. I am just glad I can pull the mph I do regradless of my mpg. Full of water or not, I bet you will pull the hill the same speed. Heavy is heavy.
  11. For Halloween I will probably be getting in on that Friday the 26th. We'll chat some more before then for sure. You'll have to make sure to go on some runs with the buggies in our group. They are some good times for sure.
  12. I'm glad to hear he has no broken bones, Bob. Bert and Chris told us that you were still out on a ride and to go let you know what had happened. Joe was following me when we went looking for you. I hauled out to the north pole thinking you were out there still and Joe and kris cut through the dunes to grab you when they spotted you. Here is where he wrecked.... Once again, I'm glad your boy is ok. It could have been much worse!
  13. I had a great weekend! Good times like always. It was great to be back out there for a weekend with some nice temps. I posted my trip report over in the observations thread.
  14. Why is everyone arguing and stirring the pot in the 1st place over some stupid crap? JEEEEZUZ. Did ANY of you get a sand fix over the weekend or no?
  15. I'll post up my trip report over here since the trip report thread went south already. What a great weekend! It started out with sand snake getting a separated tire on his hauler on the way there. We had it handled within minutes and all was well the rest of the trip. The wind didn't last too long. It was over by Fri evening. It was great to see everyone. I had a great time and got ALOT of duning in with my car. This was the 1st time I could actually dune the crap out of it in some COOL weather. It did great and I am still in awe how well the new car does. The south pole meet & greet was HUGE! There had to be over 100 people there. I was glad to meet a few new peeps and see all the familiar faces as well. It was great being able to hang out with racnjasen especially for his 30th birthday. We all had a great time partying. Hey Shayne that cake was awesome! ISBB finally made it back out and got some time on the new 500. It was cool to see the grin on his face after he got back from his first ride in the sand with it. He was a happy camper! ISBB & Pauly The DDR cul-de-sacs/ neighborhood was rediculous but worked out well I suppose. It was nice being able to walk on over to see friends so close. The entrance road was in pretty good condition. I didn't think was bad at all. The river crossing was nice and cleaned up too. The buggy rides with everyone were some of the best ever. sand~snake after he did his knack knack in his rail Mary (drunkest girl in the world) was resposible for this... lots of DDR peeps We were going so fast that Don's whip broke from the extreme speed! barefoot bob's boy... b370 and crew... chillen after an epic sunset ride b370 almost AGAIN! AM run today with joe duner and racnjasen barefoot bob's boy getting loaded up after a crash- I think he'll be ok- a couple broken fingers and a concussion all the rest of my pics--> click here once again- GREAT weekend everyone.
  16. Yeah, there are some large tall steep dunes with sharp razors. Defintely some fun cresting those badboys. I haven't been to Glamis yet so I can't really compare the two, but hopefully sometime this season I'll get down there. All I know is that at Dumont you can get some pretty fast dune runs going. We'll have to get hooked up on Halloween weekend. Welcome to the board, farmdog.
  17. We'll see every there tomorrow! Don't forget.
  18. I knew THAT. I was wondering what his rig looked like. As for you two, I have a finger for each of you!
  19. Thanks for the update. We'll see ya in a few hours. BTW, what does your rig look like? I'll swing by when I get in.
  20. Holy crap! Big pimpin! I wouldn't even wanna take that to the dunes. Very nice! Congrats.
  21. Yep me too. That is exactly what I started doing when they busted out one of my windows and stabbed through one of the couches that was strapped against the wall. I guess they were pissed or something when they couldn't look inside. I fold down both couch/beds, roll up the blinds, turn a bright light on, and leave it like that all night. Like you said, that lets them know there is nothing in there to take.
  22. Looks like the truck sits just fine (level). Yep, like you said Steve: I'd just adjust the hitch ball height. It looks low for your truck.
  23. You pretty much already had a thread for this. OK OK- We'll TRY to have a good weekend. Have fun in Vegas cheesy a$$.
