  1. cool pics. Thanks for sharing, Pete.
  2. I pull that hill around the same speed (50 ish) pulling my 35 footer. I don't even look at the mileage when pulling hills. I am just glad I can pull the mph I do regradless of my mpg. Full of water or not, I bet you will pull the hill the same speed. Heavy is heavy.
  3. For Halloween I will probably be getting in on that Friday the 26th. We'll chat some more before then for sure. You'll have to make sure to go on some runs with the buggies in our group. They are some good times for sure.
  4. I'm glad to hear he has no broken bones, Bob. Bert and Chris told us that you were still out on a ride and to go let you know what had happened. Joe was following me when we went looking for you. I hauled out to the north pole thinking you were out there still and Joe and kris cut through the dunes to grab you when they spotted you. Here is where he wrecked.... Once again, I'm glad your boy is ok. It could have been much worse!
  5. I had a great weekend! Good times like always. It was great to be back out there for a weekend with some nice temps. I posted my trip report over in the observations thread.
  6. Why is everyone arguing and stirring the pot in the 1st place over some stupid crap? JEEEEZUZ. Did ANY of you get a sand fix over the weekend or no?
  7. I'll post up my trip report over here since the trip report thread went south already. What a great weekend! It started out with sand snake getting a separated tire on his hauler on the way there. We had it handled within minutes and all was well the rest of the trip. The wind didn't last too long. It was over by Fri evening. It was great to see everyone. I had a great time and got ALOT of duning in with my car. This was the 1st time I could actually dune the crap out of it in some COOL weather. It did great and I am still in awe how well the new car does. The south pole meet & greet was HUGE! There had to be over 100 people there. I was glad to meet a few new peeps and see all the familiar faces as well. It was great being able to hang out with racnjasen especially for his 30th birthday. We all had a great time partying. Hey Shayne that cake was awesome! ISBB finally made it back out and got some time on the new 500. It was cool to see the grin on his face after he got back from his first ride in the sand with it. He was a happy camper! ISBB & Pauly The DDR cul-de-sacs/ neighborhood was rediculous but worked out well I suppose. It was nice being able to walk on over to see friends so close. The entrance road was in pretty good condition. I didn't think was bad at all. The river crossing was nice and cleaned up too. The buggy rides with everyone were some of the best ever. sand~snake after he did his knack knack in his rail Mary (drunkest girl in the world) was resposible for this... lots of DDR peeps We were going so fast that Don's whip broke from the extreme speed! barefoot bob's boy... b370 and crew... chillen after an epic sunset ride b370 almost AGAIN! AM run today with joe duner and racnjasen barefoot bob's boy getting loaded up after a crash- I think he'll be ok- a couple broken fingers and a concussion all the rest of my pics--> click here once again- GREAT weekend everyone.
  8. Yeah, there are some large tall steep dunes with sharp razors. Defintely some fun cresting those badboys. I haven't been to Glamis yet so I can't really compare the two, but hopefully sometime this season I'll get down there. All I know is that at Dumont you can get some pretty fast dune runs going. We'll have to get hooked up on Halloween weekend. Welcome to the board, farmdog.
  9. We'll see every there tomorrow! Don't forget.
  10. I knew THAT. I was wondering what his rig looked like. As for you two, I have a finger for each of you!
  11. Thanks for the update. We'll see ya in a few hours. BTW, what does your rig look like? I'll swing by when I get in.
  12. Holy crap! Big pimpin! I wouldn't even wanna take that to the dunes. Very nice! Congrats.
  13. Yep me too. That is exactly what I started doing when they busted out one of my windows and stabbed through one of the couches that was strapped against the wall. I guess they were pissed or something when they couldn't look inside. I fold down both couch/beds, roll up the blinds, turn a bright light on, and leave it like that all night. Like you said, that lets them know there is nothing in there to take.
  14. Looks like the truck sits just fine (level). Yep, like you said Steve: I'd just adjust the hitch ball height. It looks low for your truck.
  15. You pretty much already had a thread for this. OK OK- We'll TRY to have a good weekend. Have fun in Vegas cheesy a$$.
  16. You will probably see OGP and Joe Duner when you get out there. OGP is already there and Joe Duner is on his way right now. You can't miss the 2 "minivan" Funcos.
  17. Yes he is. He told me a couple hours ago that he got Sunday off and he'll be rolling out Fri afternoon. I'm pretty sure he is parking over with barefoot bob.

    Robbery

Jason, just roll one pant leg up to your knee, turn your hat to the side, and walk with a limp. You'll fit right in and nobody should mess with you. It's kinda ghetto in that area downtown, but you should be fine at the hotel. I wouldn't sweat it.
  19. ok well here is most of it... 2 of the 3 cops that responded told Jim that "you guys with your quads, rails, and quads" are just as bad as the kids with their loud stereos these days. You go around showing off and then complain when it gets stolen. I don't understand how he was "showing off his stuff". And even if he was does it make it right to have your sh*t that you work hard for get stolen or vandalized? The cops attitide was "well, that's what you have insurance for right?" They were almost making Jim out to be the bad guy here. They were also giving him a pretty hard time for chasing after the guys. They asked him what he would have done once he caught them. Jim told em that he would have whooped their a$$ for breaking into his stuff. The cop's reply was "Well sir I highly advise against that" or something to that effect. Jim told the cops that next time it happens- he won't even bother calling them and that he would take it into his own hands. :assrock: :smoker: :redhat: The cop said "I don't recommend that either." Some cops give the good ones a real bad name these days. They don't even seem to want to help find these kind of people and prevent it from happening again. I don't get it. You work hard for your stuff, then when it gets messes with you are just suppossed to sit back and let it happen???? Eff that! This is America and anyone who works for things protects his stuff anyway he can. If the law won't help protect us, who else will? WE WILL! I don't think jail teaches these punks anyways. I think a good old fashion beatdown works best. :assrock:
  20. :smoker: Don't worry about it, Jason. They are only talking about it on here. There is nothing illegal about that. WE aren't selling guns on the site so no worries. Our terms and conditions pretty much cover things like this. Forum Terms & Rules Damn, cheese.....making me get all corporate and chit! :assrock: :assrock: I understand you are just looking out.
  21. Yeah, Steveo does video surv. as well. But that doesn't help Jim now- he didn't have cameras on his house.
