  3. I know you didn't POST anything, but you told me last weekend you were going. wwwwhatever Yeah I knew about the meteor shower, that's what the shooting stars were. der Sucks you couldn't make it, again. Why are you glad you didn't go?
  4. ok, here are some of my obsverations... -it was still hot as hell out there, but pretty damn nice after the sun went down -the entrance road is MUCH better, but I wouldn't call it a "B" on a A-F scale. -epic sunset rides are almost life changing -I had to go touch all the virgin sand that i could -I couldn't see OGP's rail 5 feet next to me with our lights off -lots of shooting stars -Budlightbob did a face plant walking out of his camper -SinCityBlondie got DRUNK!!! -Didn't get to hang out too much with tanner54 or Jeff (Eliminator)... sucks your buddy broke his arm. I hope he heals up quick. -the girls singing karaoke to Queen at Banshee Hill was rediculous! -My car runs great, but everyone else I know with a rail keeps hopping up their chit and I think I have the slowest car in camp now. WTF!!?? -kris was DRUNK...maybe it runs in the family -Mary (Drunkest gril in the World) never fails to entertain everyone. -chris1223 was there but far as hell away -"WHERE'S NICK"??? (ISBB) -got to meet lots of new faces and saw many familiar ones too good times, great peeps, awesome weekend.
  5. That sucks you couldn't make it. Maybe we can meet up for some buggy rides in October. I probably won't go back out till the season kickoff trip. (Oct 5-7)
  6. I say 1 trip out and you either eat sh*t or sell it and buy a Rhino. j/k Let me know if you need me to ever start that biatch for ya! Sanddunesaddict had a problem trying starting his one time. I hopped on it and started it up 1st kick. When's the first trip out gonna be?
  7. This was one of the better trips I think. I had a great time. It was great to get some fun rides in before the sunset. The sand was so smooth! It was almost TOO smooth. It sucked the power right out of my rail in certain areas. It felt like I was hitting the brakes when I'd hit that stuff. The dunes were very hard to read in some areas. Lots of dangerous dropoffs and witches eyes. We tried some actual NIGHT rides through the dunes.....yeah that didn't work out to well. You couldn't see chit! There was like NO moon at all. It was still fun puttin through the dunes trying to figure out what was what in front of you. I ran the hill a few times at Banshee. For the most part I got my sand fix before it got dark and then hung out with everyone at the hill or in camp observations to come ......
  8. There were quite a few people at the hill later at night. I thought it was a pretty good turnout. I guess not as many hillshooters show up because none of them want to bring the lights out.
  9. OGP called me earlier and he said the road is a lil bit wash-boarded, but WAY better than recently. I'm leaving my house about 2, see you guys out there.
  10. OK, you are gonna add some unburned fuel to the combustion chamber, then what?
  11. There is a bulletin explaining how the programmers are causing engine damage "by altering air/fuel ratios and injector timing, resulting in excessive cylinder pressure and temperature". I cannot post it all though due to GM copyright and company policy. I'm not gettin anymore into it because I have to go get ready for the dunes right now. See ya tonight.
  12. what do you plan on doing with the fuel that is added? You plan on burning it ...causing more heat. Do you think it isn't gonna burn once it's added?
  13. wtf? Please educate me more on how these pistons break? BTW, I only have a hypertech (on level 2), not an Edge.
  14. Another thing that worked for me once was to hold down the choke manually while cranking and let go if it starts. It is a metal arm with a spring on it.
  15. Try that first then. You are gonna take off the air filter cover. It's real simple, just unclip the 2 or 3 clips, pull the air filter out and hold the throttle plate or choke open and shoot some in there while cranking. You should have a start switch outside on the generator so you don't have to do it from inside. Just don't go overboard and flood it out. Here is where the throat of the carb will be when you take the air filter and cover off.
  16. Did you say you already DID try spraying carb cleaner into the carb or no?
  17. I was just messin with ya with the whole guy. HOWEVER, if you ever crack a piston I can edumacate you on how GM won't warranty it. And I don't care who's truck can beat mine. Most others probably can cause they have more chit into theirs. I don't care. My truck is pretty much stock. It only has exhaust and a mild programmer on it. I didn't buy a 1 ton truck to race. It's to haul my toys out to the dunes. great...so what? Why are you trying to prove stuff to me that I already know of.
  18. ^ yep what he said. Tyler, you should be able to access the carb on a Onan pretty easily. another tip- mine didn't start once and it was because the choke linkage cam screw backed out. (side of teh carb) So when it was supposed to be choked, the choke plate was wide open not allowing it to start.
  19. This is how I read that statement: With having lower EGT after whatever he did, he was ABLE to add more fuel because his EGT's were low enough to allow for more fuel. I don't know the whole conversation or where that is copied from, but from that quote right there, that's what it sounds like he meant. Usually if you add fuel, you aren't gonna lower your egt's. More fuel or timing usually means more heat.
  20. Black smoke kicks a$$! but seriously, you have a programmer on your truck so why are you concerned about it? It is probaby normal. Each setting changes fuel and timing therefore changing the amount of smoke you are gonna have. The Edge programmer even has a setting for smoke. I wouldn't sweat it. Why? Is the truck section so busy with diesel threads that you can't find topics?
  21. Yeah yeah yeah We knew you weren't going. You guys suck Wish you could make it. Now go punch yourselves in the FACE
