  1. Oh so you wanna be banned from DDR huh? :ahhhhh:
  2. As bada$$ as they are, midgets creap the fk out of me.
  3. no, I have not fixed mine yet. It has only popped out of gear a few times when under heavy accel and banging gears kinda hard. I haven't even messed with my clutch so I don't know if I'd even be of any assistance to you. Sorry. :wedgie: Rare for an 03? What if he rides the crap out of it? If it's rare how do you explain my 02 with this scenerio then, Dave? I guess probably because it's seen some long hard hours. Oh and hey. my 02 with 200+ hrs on it has the STOCK clutch in it too.
  4. I think so. I just haven't decided for how long and when I'm leaving yet. :wedgie:
  5. not all of us are dirt and asphalt farmers...who knows :wedgie:
  6. I have an 02 with a similar problem except with 3rd gear (I think..or is it 2nd?..hmmm) . First make sure it isn't your clutch. If it is popping out of gear, it's pretty much time to have the trans gone through. You will need to replace the gear(s). The cause of that is the "dogs" or teeth on the sides of the gear are starting to round off and don't hold under power. If you want to try and get any more life out of it, be real easy and carefull when shifting. It only gets worse and you might have to replace more items such as shift forks and/ or main shafts if the gear gets hot and does further damage. Here is that part that I am talking about starts to round off...
  7. I'll have to see how busy I am at work whether or not I can take it off. If I'm as slow as I am this week, I'm in.
  8. Congrats, Steveo. It's about friggen time! TFR!
  9. I have mixed feelings about this. I'm happy because my overpriced toyhauler that gets beat to death on that road will no longer have to endure that pain nor will my wallet. on the contrary... I'm a little worried that a better road might bring worse people.
  10. ok my turn now. :no_no: Vicki I completely understand your points. I agree. Staying true to how we feel about this site gets harder and harder the more it grows. I never realized what I was getting myself into when I started the site. I can't believe it has gotten this big already. I remember Nick and I watching the monthly growth back when we had 100, then 200, then 300 members, etc.... . Yes it is a battle and is hard work at times, but I think we have some really good people as adimns, moderators, and last but not least members on our side that will help keep it a great site even as we grow. I refuse to let the size of the site or any person corrupt what we have worked so hard to create and maintain. If for some reason bandwidth and server space became an issue, Nick and I still don't plan on ever charging a member to use the forum or website. In my eyes that right there (charging a member) would be enough to destroy a website on it's own. Well said Nick. Now do the dance...
  11. Cool pics Dave. Looks like a great time.
  12. Dave the 8" oval Eagle Eye HID's work awesome.
  13. I'm trying to send you some clips from the DDR does Coral video right now.
  14. Where? Dumont? You've already been there, Chris.
  15. Here is always a good one. ---> click me You can right click and save target as if you wanna use it.
  16. It's not that, Jon. You are not a bad guy. It's just that you come off sometimes as if you wanna argue about it. Everyone I talk to and know on DDR is all about safety, but you start getting way too technical and talk like every sandcar should be built to NHRA standards. Most big name sandcar builders have been building sandcars for many many years with a great deal of experience and know how to build a safe chassis. Yes, there will be those shady builders out there and we all must watch out for them. As for Funco, they know their chit and build safe cars. Anyone can post a picture of a particular frame or chassis and nit-pick the hell out of it. There are ALWAYS things you are gonna be able to do to strengthen a frame. My "zero chassis flex" comment referred to the frame not flexing WHILE DRIVING. Do you want your frame flex to be added into your travel? "Hey I have 21" in suspension travel and 3" in travel in my frame for a total amount of 24" of travel!!! " Not so much. Yes your frame SHOULD give to a certain point in the event of an accident, but while driving!!!???
  17. Good job Cole! Those were some good memories.
