  1. I'll definitely be there, Ken! You know this! I'll bring all the things I listed earlier including my rail. :smoker:
  2. If you are talking about the 4.2L inline 6 from the 70's/80's, that motor is pretty outdated. I think it was a turd. My 79 had one in it originally, but when I bought the truck it was already ripped out and a 350 was stabbed in it. Those trucks are great trucks, but I'd pass on that engine/trans setup.
  3. Congrats Dani and Chris! Very nice!!!! When's the 1st trip to Dumont?
  4. Just before I brought my new sandcar out for it's maiden voyage I was stressing about all the little areas of the car that were inevitably gonna get chipped, kicked, scraped, etc. It was only a day before I planned on leaving so I was kinda pissed I didn't have more time to get my car over to someone to put on some clear bra protection. I had this done on my last car and I had excellent results with it. It holds up great against sandblasting and especially to people's feet kicking it inside the car. I just wanted to give a huge thanks to Craig (itsstock), Ken'sColor's helper. He came TO MY HOUSE on less than a day's notice and hooked up my car in the areas that worried me the most about chips, etc. Thanks again Craig! This stuff rocks. You can barely even see it too after it is applied. I had him do the center console, all the areas around your feet that you might bang your feet into or up against while driving, and also had him do the front of my tie rods to help keep the sandblasting and dulling to a minimum.
  5. I think there will be a few peeps out there.
  6. Keep in mind...just because it has the most (claimed) suspension travel, that doesn't mean it will ride the best or handle the best either. You have to take into factor the car's weight and wheel base too. Those cars do great, but I think for the money a 2 seater like my car (Short Sand Car) or other mini is the way to go. Also: I don't think you'll be able to really USE one of these cars on a "4 wheeler trail". They are just too damn fast and I could see them gettin squirly as hell in the dirt.
  7. Great job, Vicki! It was great. Also thanks for the plugs for DDR.
  8. Then we'd just have to call you something else like wounded metabolism or something. :smoker: j/k What if ragdoll didn't have all his funny azz phrases?
  9. Drakart builds some nice little cars! Definitley bang for your buck. You'd have to drive one or at least see one go to understand.
  10. That sounds like the noise my Grizzly makes (it has the same exact powertrain). It's shaft driven and the noise is most likely from the slack in the drivetrain (or clutch) when applying the brake and letting off- completely normal. That's if it's the noise I think you're talking about. I'd still check the rear pads to make sure though. Is it only when you hit the brakes hard or does it do it even when easy on the brakes?
  11. Mutha Bitchezzz<----- I said that! :mic: Yeah it hurt pretty bad.
  12. What for like 3 dollars in change? :mic: Get a tent, foo! It's gonna be nice out. I'm pretty much full of peeps already, sorry Dan.
  13. Hell...it's been a while. I forgot about it and now I don't think I have it anymore. I'll look though. :mic:
  14. Here's what the damage looks like...
  15. I don't care. LAUGH. It WAS funny as hell. :angry2: You said dune termites! I'll get some tomorrow. Want a pic of my head too? j/k I'm okay- I'm hard headed like that.
  16. :ahhhhh: :angry2: Mutha Bitchezzzz
  17. It's gone! A chunk WITH the paper is missing on the inside edge. On the outside it is not torn yet though. I'll have to take a pic and post it for you to see.
  18. Fuggin Randy! :angry2:  Mutha Bitchezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
  19. So what do you if this happens: you reach down for a beer out of the cooler, then stand up not realizing how close you are to the end of the cabinet in your hauler, and CRACK. You smack your head so hard on the edge of the cabinet you bust the edge off! ouch :ahhhhh: <--yeah..I kinda looked like that! So yeah... the very outside (left side) panel of my cabinet needs replacing. Do they sell those in the parts section of RV places? Do they need to be custom made and matched to the fake azz sticker wood grain? WTF? They are built like crap so what do ya do? Anyone else have to deal with these cheap t/h cabinets before? :angry2: Man I can see it now...DKRV is gonna have their way with me again!
  20. HA! Good luck getting RK back in the car after that CRAZY CRAZY #3 ride that one time you took him out! "could you take the flats back to camp, Joe "
  21. You are absolutely correct, Pete. In time it will grow though. Every year it gets bigger and more and more people hear about the cleanup. Hey, maybe we (everyone from DDR) can do some mini-cleanups throughout the year?
  22. AWESOME Joe! Did he finally come down to your last offer? Thats friggin sweet! Next trip out is gonna be badass...3 new buggies in camp!
