It's gettin there! Another week or so and it should be done. They still have the console, wiring, lights, gas tank, wing, side panels, etc to do. I'm gettin excited though. :mc_smiley: So far ShortSandCars (Larry & Nannette Short) have given OUTSTANDING customer service and have been great to deal with. (BTW, please don't quote this post because all those pics will be quoted as well )

And to add to that, that Duramax IS found in some commercial applications. They put it in the medium duty trucks. That guy needs to do his homework first.

Usually it is pretty calm out there, but there have been weekends when the wind just sucks. (That's how the sand got there in the first place ) Last cleanup was pretty nice weather. B)

Two more weeks! Man it's coming up quickly. I can't wait- I should have my new sandcar by then. BTW sandqueen, my camping arrangements have changed for the cleanup weekend so I doubt there will be one big camp & potluck for DDR this time around. That is unless somebody other than myself wants to take on the job of forming an official DDR camp and organizing the potluck. That job in itself has deteriorated the quality of my duning trips so I am done with that. A DDR neighborhood would be great though. If everyone camped in the general area of the cleanup events area, we could still very easily stop by each others places and chat and have a beer.

Damn, Don...no faith in the peeps of DDR? anyways... Foxysandchick, you named just about everything that is the easiest and cheapest bang for your buck. I, personally, would stay away from the rev boxes. I am seen many problems with them. If you do end up getting one, keep the stock one under your seat in case that new rev box ever goes out. I'd just do a slip on pipe, K&N and outerwear & remove the airbox lid, and jet it to compensate and be done with it. Those bikes run pretty decent as long as you aren't a hill shooter. They are great in the dunes.
