  1. I ordered a couple rebuild kits from Kartek yesterday. I should be able to get them handled next week.
  2. Yep, I do my own. It's stupid easy. Hahaaa what a deal!
  3. Never heard of needing much more than grade 8. Now that I think of it though, my rear shock upper bolts are a higher grade but it could be because they are longer and go all the way into the X brace of the cage.
  4. Yeah I figure it's one of the piggyback bridge o-rings.
  5. My shock started leaking from the little hole in the piggyback bridge last trip. They were serviced just a couple seasons ago. Any ideas why it would leak from that hole?
  6. Trades. ha. I have a nice ATC70. Yeah hit me up when you come to town. I'll shoot you my # in a PM.
  7. I appreciate that, Mike. I will let ya know.
  8. Hey Trevor you should have joined the group. That's what the trip is all about. This is the only weekend out of the season where we do a big group DDR camp. Everyone has their own separate camps throughout the season.
  9. It's on it's way. LVMPD and a couple news stations has shared the video on their social media pages.
  10. Another epic weekend of buggy action is in the books. Over 30 buggies showed up to this year's 4th Annual Buggy Roundup, once again, forming a huge circle. Many showed up as early as Thursday to make the most of the weekend. By Friday morning, we already had a full camp with sandrails ranging from home builds to Tatum prerunners. Day trippers filled in on Saturday and it was one of the largest Buggy Roundup camps we've had yet. The reason for picking an off-weekend in the middle of December to get together is simple. The dunes are empty. Other than our camp, there were only 4-5 other groups in the whole camp area. The dunes were ours and they couldn't have been in better shape. Starting out on Thursday, the sand was untouched with an abundance of razorbacks and witch eyes. You wouldn't think thousands of Thanksgiving weekend duners had just been there 2 weeks prior. @vegas style and @Mike @ GTP OFF ROAD were the first ones to lay some tracks on Thursday. Friday morning, the rest of the group had their first run and were able to shred some untouched sand. The weather cooperated very well for our trip. Although there was 0% chance of rain all weekend, winter clouds covered the sky. They made for some stunning sunsets though. By Friday afternoon the clouds had broken up and some occasional sunshine came through. The temperatures were perfect during the day and dropped to the low 40's at night requiring a nice fire to stay warm. Sunday was the warmest day with temperatures rising close to 70 degrees. It was t-shirt weather in December! The idea behind the Buggy Roundup is the meet and run with other buggy owners. We all share the same dunes but rarely ever get the chance to get to know each other. Occasionally you might chat it up with another buggy guy at the north pole or give a wave as you pass each other in the dunes, but what other weekend can you hop in line together to shred some sand without the stress of holiday dune traffic? In addition to the great group rides on Saturday, we had a buggy weigh off. One by one, everyone lined up with their cars for the chance to see what their buggies weighed. The numbers ranged ranged from 1350 to as much as 3600 lbs. Some were surprised to finally see how heavy their cars were. Most of them were more than expected. The Saturday afternoon group dune run was huge! The line of buggies stretched over several dunes. We started on the south end, like most of our dune runs, and ended up out at Talladega for a group photo. Buggy Roundup wouldn't be complete without someone going big! After the group ride, we headed over to the jump south of Comp for a little DDR "huckfest". Everyone hit the jump at least once. Some didn't get any air at all in hopes of not breaking their car while others went big. It's usually the bigger cars that have the suspension to huck it. It's never really a competition, but in the end there is usually 2-3 guys left jumping and everyone else watches and cheers them on. This year Rob, aka @jetjock15, took the win for biggest air and bragging rights. Saturday night DDR hosted tacos and UFC. It was our way of saying thanks to everyone who came out. We had carne and pollo asada tacos, homemade chili and some ceviche. Everyone grabbed some grub at the taco line and warmed up next to the fire for the fight. UFC was projected on the side of a trailer and lasted most of the night with some good entertainment. Thanks to everyone who came out this year. We're looking forward to seeing everybody again at Buggy Roundup 5.
  11. No, Glamis has been the plan so far but it's a very loose plan at this point.
  12. Holy crap that thing is awesome. Nice ride, Paul. Now if I only had 89k to throw around! How ya been man?
  13. Sunday morning quite a few people took off early but many decided to stay and go for more rides. Rogue Racing's badass little X3. A group of went for a nice mellow cruise and hung out at Talladega for quite a while and enjoyed that awesome weather. It was close to 70 degrees and felt great. The only downfall was the fact my phone slipped out on the ride and was lost somewhere in the sand. It still didn't ruin my afternoon. I was having fun. The girls went for a little tinkle time. lol Anna kept cracking us up with that monkey hat. The group split after a while and me, Anna, Brian and Amanda went searching for my phone using the Google locate device feature. We had no luck at first due to no cel reception. So we stopped over at the jump to let Amanda play. She loves jumping their RZR. We sat, laughed, and cheered her on. Then we went back to camp, got Anna's phone and I looked up my phone in a 4G area. Boom! I located it right behind comp. After that we went over and played on a jump where FE135 was shooting some shots of ItsWeeks new car. Badass car for sure. It turned out beautiful and it was good to see him have a good weekend with next to no problems. Once the sun went down we kicked back and made a drink. We ended up leaving about 7 PM. Late night getting home but oh so worth it. Another epic trip in the books! Thanks again to everyone. It was great seeing & meeting all the new faces and I look forward to future dune trips.
  14. Saturday morning Chris M and @Dangrplayr showed up and took his little buggy for a quick rip. Me and a few others skipped the morning group ride and instead a we went out to play with the drones and take some pics. Unfortunately Chris's car busted a spindle. I went and hunted down his front tire. It went for a nice ride. Since he wasn't going anywhere, we decided this was the place to take some shots before we towed him back. @Dent boy pulled some of his signature wheelies @Mustache Motorsports put on an awesome show. Love his car. @JVZ got in on the action in his Desert Dynamics After all the fun, we decided to get Chris's car prepped to tow back. We took the front shock off and ratchet-strapped the opposite rear corner. The forward tow was no longer an option after filling his car with sand. lol So we opted for this method instead. Back at camp, Ben busted out his scales and we had a buggy weigh-in. There were some big cars in camp this year weighing in well over 3000 lbs. Then it was time for a Saturday afternoon group ride. The line was huge. We stopped out near Talladega. After that we headed over to the jump near Comp and had a little Huck-off for those that liked jumping. Later in the afternoon a few of us we went for a quickie cruise over to the sunset overlook to watch the sun go down. Sandy even appreciated the sunset. Then she did some sand angels. Back at camp it was time for tacos and UFC. Sandy started getting out of hand again and tried getting into people's pants. She sort of succeeded. Then some upside down twerking happened. And then Amanda supervised her for the rest of the night.
  15. Here's some pics... Thursday night we rolled in and found out we only had 5 of the 6 tires remaining on the trailer. oops! We lost a tire somewhere a long time ago and the trailer didn't even care. haha It still towed great and the rim didn't even get damaged. Oh well, we'll deal with that on Sunday. After we got unloaded and a few of us chilled around the fire. The clouds looked really cool with the moon. And I swear my lights are blue, not pink. lol We had a conversation about that. Friday morning we already had a good sized camp started. With this size camp I desperately needed my ATC and it decided not to start that morning. Sandy the elf helped diagnose it as a bad battery. bp-guy rolled in from San Diego that morning The camp area was empty other than maybe 1 or 2 small groups. We pretty much had the place all to ourselves. A group of us chatted and got a morning run put together. @HawaiianstyleLV We had a good sized group already. Then @KRUSTY rolled in Then before we knew it, Sandy started acting like an idiot and took Jason's dog for a ride. She had one too many blood marys and couldn't hold on. ynot and Lou B tested out our zero gravity chairs. Later in the day the group grew. It was great to have @FE135 join us. Becky was having fun Sandy insisted on riding on the front of bp-guy's car, then demanded a Go Pro capture her wild ride. Camera whore. Anna and I took some selfies. Then just as the day was going so perfect, snap went my axle as I got 2 whoops into Comp Hill. Dent boy towed me back and luckily Ben actually had a spare axle that fit my car. He saved my weekend! Thanks dude! I owe you big time. Anna captured the tow back as well as a selfie with Chad. haha The sun went down and I fixed my car just as it was getting dark. The sky was awesome that night. vegas style busted out his awesome stuffed jalapenos Camp was so big that everyone sort of had little satellite fires in addition the center fire. That was the only draw back. It was a really long walk. Sandy had some quality campfire time. Then she made her way to the booze and quickly got out of line again. Sandy tried posting to DDR but passed out before she could even log on. Friday night, the camp circle was almost complete. to be continued...more to come from the rest of the weekend
  16. The new year is upon us and it's time to say goodbye to 2016. Although it's a holiday weekend, New Years isn't a really big one compared to Halloween or President's weekend. New Years Eve lands on a Saturday night this year allowing duners to get their party on when the ball drops at midnight. Expect some cold temperatures as this is one of the coldest times of the year. Holiday Passes are required Dec 27, 2016 thru Jan 2, 2017.
  17. What an awesome weekend. We had a huge turnout this year. Everyone was super cool. We had lots of laughs, dune runs, and good times. Our camp was huge and there was hardly anybody else out there but us. So much fun! Thanks to everyone who came out. I'll have much more to add as far as pics, video and highlights. If you have anything to add from the weekend, post it up. In the meantime, here's @jetjock15 going big! My favorite photo from the weekend taken by @FE135
  18. Nope, it was all good. The Life Case must have saved it. Thank God for thr Google my Android device feature. It was super easy to find. I was able to drive right to it. It was even partially sticking out of the sand. It ended up being in the steep valley behind comp on a dune where we all made a sharp turn.
