  1. Recently I have noticed when I take a passenger out in my car, they don't tighten their belts tight enough. I make it a point to not even leave camp without cranking down on their belts. This is a reminder to all of you that seatbelts have to be as tight as you can get get em...not just tight enough so they are comfortable! You have to think of if you are in a wreck that your body is going to want to keep going. If your belts are loose at all you will suffer some major injuries or even die! The recent crash at Dumont where the guy went off the windy razorback at night was another reminder why your belts need to be tight. The driver said he had the belts kinda loose and he hit his head on something. He ended up ok, but if your belts aren't tight enough to keep your head from smacking the frame or rear view mirror, you might as well not even be wearing seat belts. I am not trying to bash the driver here for having his belts too loose in this recent crash, but it reminded me to bring up the safety issue to help remind others. Be safe, people! Double check your passengers...some people don't know that these belts NEED to be TIGHT TIGHT! :eatdrink021: Also, you need to make sure they STAY tight while duning too.
  2. Oh stop, Don. :eatdrink021: It's fine. This person contacted me (e-mail) about getting some info on the site about buggy and ATV insurance and I told them to post it on the forum. Some members have asked in the past about the insurance so I figured it might help them out. It's ok this time. Thanks for looking out though.
  3. come on!!! :eatdrink021: no offense Stacey, but Don is outta line!
  4. So Kenny, you didn't go down there today to go pick it up? BTW, Steveo has been trying to get a hold of you today.
  5. Not you, fool! :eatdrink021: The camp host near bathroom 10 that lives at Dumont for the fall/winter. You knew who I was talking about huh?
  6. Oh yeah...thanks Jim :eatdrink021: Should I bring some oil for this thing or is Stacey gonna have enough? crawlinxj------spaghetti salad and bbq dunefreak-----hawaiian rolls and corn on the cob, grill, 1 turkey and fryer, and a huge appetite Don29palms-- Cake and -------------------- you know! Sincity_blondie...utensils, plates, napkins, 2 turkeys, oil, and a PARTRIDGE IN A PEAR TREE sand snake----mashed potatos and gravy
  7. Sounds cool, Joe. 2:00 PM works for me. Do we want to do buggy AND bike group rides like last time or just buggies? If we do a group bike ride, I am not cool with 10 AM this time. :eatdrink021: Not that I can't do it, but I just like to take my time getting up and getting going in the AM.
  8. Welcome to the site, Sam. :eatdrink021: Alcohol or not..chest protector or not...those kiddie tracks can be dangerous even at the slowest of speeds. I always try to keep an eye out when hauling across the flats on a weekend where there aren't many people out there. Next time I am out at Dumont I might recommend to Don (camp host) to run the blade over some of those things if they are out there if that is ok.
  9. We have to get things in order here. Are we just gonna to a T-Day potluck on Thanksgiving, or do we want to do a normal potluck (with whatever) on Saturday like usual. I am bringing a turkey and a deep frier. I already have them both. I say we could just do the potluck thing as a T-Day dinner for whoever is camped with us, then we can do a normal potluck on Saturday. You know we'll have enough grub for both. Hell if anything, we can have turkey leftovers on Saturday too! :eatdrink021:
  10. Effen Nick! :fart: :dunce: I know, Tony, I am just givin ya sh*t. come on! As for Bert, your a$$ hurts, get over it. Really... does it make that much of a difference if you are a moderator or not? Whats the big deal? Do you just want your profile to say staff? Is that it? The whole "moderator" thing has NOTHING to do with who we like better than the next guy. Do you really care that much if someone posts something offensive or something that breaks the rules so you can take care of it?
  11. YEAH effer! You're almost fired! j/k
  12. JJ in online more often is all. We need eyes that are on as much as possible ...don't worry BaBerrrrrt, you'll get your "promotion" soon enough. :fart:
  13. I think she meant new members signing up.
  14. That sounds good, Mike. Thanks! Where are you located? I can e-mail you the Adobe Illustrator file for the banner I made a few posts back along with the DDR logo as well. What DDR logo were you thinking of? I already had one on the front of the banner I made, but we can put one on the back too!
  15. Damn...broken collar bone!!??? Hope you feel better soon.
  16. or maybe next time he'll get struck by lightning while duning- you just never know He survived w/o a helmet...luck or not...he survived. Let's just be thankfull for that.
  17. Awesome..just remember you said that...I'm gonna hold you to it! Ynot said the same thing.
  18. Thanks, but we will recruite the mods as we need em. We definitely have to know them personally too. No offense.
  19. Well, last night I tried cleaning it with a long air gun. I could only get in there so far though. Nothing on this unit is servicable unless you pull the whole unit out from under the cabinet. Everything that everyone told me to check is buried in the back of the unit and there is NO access panel or anything I can removed to gain access to it. :north_pole: It looks like in order to pull the unit out it consists of: 2 screws in the floor, prop[ane line, and 3 air ducts. I made an appt. w/ DKRV for Thurs. If they can't get the parts or get it done before Monday...I'm taking it out to Dumont anyways along with plenty of sleeping bags.
  20. I have 26" paddles on my Busa RAIL. I don't see why a quad COULDN'T use em, expecially w/ a turbo!
  21. So far only a select few have shown that they are computer literate enough to be moderators as well as be trusted to have the moderator functions. We will add more moderators as we (DDR) grow. It has nothing to do with anything outside of the website like drinking around camp. Although, there have been know to be some "staff meetings" at PT's on ocassion! ...but that's usually just me and Nick meeting up for a beer though :north_pole:
  22. I doubt it was gearing. The paddles looked like Geckos! I don't know if they were, but they were tiny for a bike with that much power. The bike looked sweet though...a very nice, clean job putting it together. It had an orange powdercoated frame.
