  1. Last update is that the motor has been broken-in on the dyno and he was just waiting for a few parts I believe before it goes to powdercoat. Anything above and beyond taht, I'll try and keep ya updated. Ryan can't wait to get this thing out to Dumont. ...me too...I wanna ride!!!!
  2. Yep, she got it. She said thanks. She hasn't been able to give anyone a call back...she's been a busy monkie.
  3. Nope, it wasn't too bad. There was just enough people to make it fun at comp on Saturday afternoon, but not too crazy crowded in the dunes or around camp. The "idiot count" was much lower than Halloween.
  4. Really, no broken bones? That wrist looked quite a bit swollen already when I showed up. I would def. get a second opinion too. With that much swelling it does seem like it would be broken. Either way, I hope it feels better soon. Hey Mike, you said you were going pretty slow right? Maybe that was the problem along wioth the wind off that razor coming over.
  5. What's the deal, Kenny? When will you know if your getting that bad boy? You gonna put some stars on it? Like Joe said...how much? What drivetrain, etc? Looks badass though. You can't go wrong with SU.
  6. Friday night the helicopter landed right on the flats near the bottom of the face hill just the right of the superbowl. There were Rangers like crazy over there. It was dark and we couldn't see much of what was going on. Anyone know what happened?
  7. Wow, as much as I thought this would have been too much $$ for what is was...I WAS WAY WRONG! Anna and I went for her birthday last night. This show couldn't have rocked any harder, been any funnier, or any more entertaining! It was a blast and was really cool to be able to go see! We had floor tickets. We showed up a bit late because we went to dinner at HOB first, but I think we were only like 5-10 minutes late so it was all good. When we walked in it was packed, hot, and smelly in HOB. :fro: They probably couldn't have fit one more person in that place. HOB f*cked up big time. We tried to get a spot over at the right side of the stage at the bar. That lasted for about 2 minutes as we became extremely grossed out and sweaty from all the a$$es around us. It was literally elbow to elbow- NOT COMFORTABLE! So we headed over to the entrance door. Anna in her cutest voice and low cut top, asked one of the staff members of HOB if there was ANY way we could get tickets for upstairs. She said "it's my birrrrrrrrthday and this suuuuucks!" She showed him her ID to prove it was in fact her birthday. Check it out...he went for it! The dude was way cool and let us up! There were a couple chicks that wanted floor tickets instead! He swapped our tickets and we went upstairs to level 2. We were 3rd row/ front and center! We even had cocktail servers up there and didn't have to get fo shiat! Good times. Tenacious D rocks!
  8. Terry it was great hanging out with you and the peeps from your camp. I was glad to be able to share a weekend (well, part of a weekend) with you before you will be out for a while. I wish you well with your surgery on Tues and hope everything goes as smooth as virgin sand for ya! I'm lookin forward to some more good times in the sand. oh and BTW, I think Nick is a mute at Dumont.
  9. Welcome to the site, Steve. I, myself, won't be out till the Wed before Turkey day. (22nd) I think a few from the board are going out that weekend though. Maybe you can hook up with someone. Be safe out there for your first trip!
  10. Off Skyline's website: yyyyyyeah...surrrrre! I bet that thing is every bit of 9500 lbs...at least. Mine states it is 9200 empty, but I bet it's even more than that. We'll have to have some meetings in that bad boy over Turkey Day, Don!
  11. Cadi, Olds..same thing - GM 3.5L Shortstar. There, is that better?
  12. What? How is that? You don't even have paddles! SO we'll see a quad with knobbies sitting near some weeds with nobody on it? Does that mean you will crash, be ejected out of site, then we'll see your bike sitting there like that when we come back for you?
  13. ISBB and I rollin in about 8 PM Friday night. It was pretty calm and nice out. No night rides were planned, but campfire-side & was fun. Sat AM was nice. It was slightly overcast and had a slight breeze. ISBB, wingnut and I headed out early (for me) in the am for a ride. Ash left right after us and found us but shortly after he broke his clutch cable. We got a couple more bike rides and couple buggy runs in along with some comp hill action. Got to see and hang out a sh*tload of peeps I still can't remember all the screen names to. Hanging at the after a ride... that crazy hunter guy that shows up popping wheelies! (JoeDuner) Chillen at comp... "welcome to burger world...how may I help you?" ...Then the wind and some slight rain drops came. It lasted a couple hours but then subsided about mid-afternoon. We went out for another buggy ride before I had to take off at 4ish. It was pretty nice then. (Of course- right when I had to leave! ) ...another ride to the north pole and then over to check on our sacred ground at the south pole.... It was at that time I wondered what time it was getting to be. Hauled a$$ back to camp to find out it was 3:30 and had to bail. 5 minutes later we were loaded up! I have never been loaded that fast. It is kinda nice sometimes just taking the flatbed. Driving home...leaving Dumont It was a fun short trip with some good peeps. Some observations from my weekend.... Rumble strips on the freeway are now called "trick strips" Trailers loaded wrong allow you to take a nice view of the desert with your headlights down Potisi :fro: :no_no: Nissan Armadas come standard with illuminated french fry holders OriginalPimp doesn't use his heater in his toyhauler ISBB now stands for I Snore Big Breaths "Nick..........Nick....SHUTUP!!!" Tire swaps and spark plug swaps Wingnut hates alot of bands ISBB always thinks his tires are flat on a ride after not riding in the sand for a month Randog's car is still crazy fast RCC's Rhino is just as badass in person.... Nice Rhino and nice to meet ya Suzuki Samurai's can pull out Motorhomes
  14. yep..ISBB was the one who told me that he saw rail roll on the face hill. ^^
  15. Hi Mike...I didn't know you were on DDR when I was talking to you. I was gonna ask but was more concerned if you guys were ok. That wrist didn't look too good. I kinda figured you broke it. I have broken a few wrists in my day. I am glad nobody got seriously hurt. Here are a couple pics I snapped off. the hill you rolled on.... BTW, the other few peeps that came over were raptoroy and highoctane junkie in the 4 seater that rolled up just before me. I was in the little red car. I wonder if you rolled because of the strong gusts of wind coming off the top of the hill. Maybe it caught the underside of the roof and assisted in pushing it over. Just a thought. It was pretty windy that day.
  16. Was just there today and was about the same as Halloween weekend...a bit tore up but not much different than usual.
  17. Congrats Don...but 37 feet? Are you talking overall length? Looks sweet though!
  18. What are the knee pads for?
  19. It's a Cadi V6 (Northstar with 2 cylinders shaved off)
  20. Yep, Hayabusa all the way! It is an awesome powerplant for a car that small. It makes suprisingly good torque and the high RPM HP is just sick! Nothing like blasting up comp to the tune of 11,000 rpms!
  21. OK OK!!! :no_no: My car is supposedly 21" in the front and 18" in the rear. It takes the rough and most whoops pretty well. It is kinda rough at very low speeds over tracks and rutts but that is mostly only because the short wheelbase and being light in weight. Well I don't know what all you want to know, but I love my minirail. There are alot of pros and I can't really think of any cons right now. Pros lightweight (power to weight ratio is awesome) small- fits in smaller toyhaulers where larger rails won't less expensive than larger rails VERY agile inexpensive to maintain/ fix (compared to fullsize rails) uses much less fuel- you can dune almost all day on a tank of fuel IMO, more bang for the buck Cons no reverse unless you fork out a few grand extra when buying (I could care less about R in the dunes though) a little rough at very low speeds over the rough If you are one of those guys that think bigger is better, a mini won't work for you. :no_no: Like I said, I really can't think of any cons right now
