  1. ISBB and I rollin in about 8 PM Friday night. It was pretty calm and nice out. No night rides were planned, but campfire-side & was fun. Sat AM was nice. It was slightly overcast and had a slight breeze. ISBB, wingnut and I headed out early (for me) in the am for a ride. Ash left right after us and found us but shortly after he broke his clutch cable. We got a couple more bike rides and couple buggy runs in along with some comp hill action. Got to see and hang out a sh*tload of peeps I still can't remember all the screen names to. Hanging at the after a ride... that crazy hunter guy that shows up popping wheelies! (JoeDuner) Chillen at comp... "welcome to burger world...how may I help you?" ...Then the wind and some slight rain drops came. It lasted a couple hours but then subsided about mid-afternoon. We went out for another buggy ride before I had to take off at 4ish. It was pretty nice then. (Of course- right when I had to leave! ) ...another ride to the north pole and then over to check on our sacred ground at the south pole.... It was at that time I wondered what time it was getting to be. Hauled a$$ back to camp to find out it was 3:30 and had to bail. 5 minutes later we were loaded up! I have never been loaded that fast. It is kinda nice sometimes just taking the flatbed. Driving home...leaving Dumont It was a fun short trip with some good peeps. Some observations from my weekend.... Rumble strips on the freeway are now called "trick strips" Trailers loaded wrong allow you to take a nice view of the desert with your headlights down Potisi :fro: :no_no: Nissan Armadas come standard with illuminated french fry holders OriginalPimp doesn't use his heater in his toyhauler ISBB now stands for I Snore Big Breaths "Nick..........Nick....SHUTUP!!!" Tire swaps and spark plug swaps Wingnut hates alot of bands ISBB always thinks his tires are flat on a ride after not riding in the sand for a month Randog's car is still crazy fast RCC's Rhino is just as badass in person.... Nice Rhino and nice to meet ya Suzuki Samurai's can pull out Motorhomes
  2. yep..ISBB was the one who told me that he saw rail roll on the face hill. ^^
  3. Hi Mike...I didn't know you were on DDR when I was talking to you. I was gonna ask but was more concerned if you guys were ok. That wrist didn't look too good. I kinda figured you broke it. I have broken a few wrists in my day. I am glad nobody got seriously hurt. Here are a couple pics I snapped off. the hill you rolled on.... BTW, the other few peeps that came over were raptoroy and highoctane junkie in the 4 seater that rolled up just before me. I was in the little red car. I wonder if you rolled because of the strong gusts of wind coming off the top of the hill. Maybe it caught the underside of the roof and assisted in pushing it over. Just a thought. It was pretty windy that day.
  4. Was just there today and was about the same as Halloween weekend...a bit tore up but not much different than usual.
  5. Congrats Don...but 37 feet? Are you talking overall length? Looks sweet though!
  6. What are the knee pads for?
  7. It's a Cadi V6 (Northstar with 2 cylinders shaved off)
  8. Yep, Hayabusa all the way! It is an awesome powerplant for a car that small. It makes suprisingly good torque and the high RPM HP is just sick! Nothing like blasting up comp to the tune of 11,000 rpms!
  9. OK OK!!! :no_no: My car is supposedly 21" in the front and 18" in the rear. It takes the rough and most whoops pretty well. It is kinda rough at very low speeds over tracks and rutts but that is mostly only because the short wheelbase and being light in weight. Well I don't know what all you want to know, but I love my minirail. There are alot of pros and I can't really think of any cons right now. Pros lightweight (power to weight ratio is awesome) small- fits in smaller toyhaulers where larger rails won't less expensive than larger rails VERY agile inexpensive to maintain/ fix (compared to fullsize rails) uses much less fuel- you can dune almost all day on a tank of fuel IMO, more bang for the buck Cons no reverse unless you fork out a few grand extra when buying (I could care less about R in the dunes though) a little rough at very low speeds over the rough If you are one of those guys that think bigger is better, a mini won't work for you. :no_no: Like I said, I really can't think of any cons right now
  10. wwwwwwwwwwwhatever...just buy a SUPERLITE balsa-wood toyhauler and tow it with your Armada then. I'll hook you up with a family pack of Band-aids for your knuckles when you get back. You are gonna need them after 2 hrs of your white knuckles. :no_no:
  11. Isn't a shortstar a V6..hence the name...SHORTstart? :no_no: Sorry, JJ...I had to.
  12. It scares me to see what you guys do in your free time
  13. Check it out...my thoughts on Question 5 being approved... :smoker: :fro:
  14. Sitting on the other side of the bar where smokers are doesn't rid you of second hand smoke or the nasty a$$ smell your clothes become drenched in.
  15. yyyyyeah right, FRFB! (Remeber that? Front Rib Fall Boy! ) :smoker:
  16. I wouldn't compare a Z71 w/ air bags to an SUV, but go ahead. I don't tow THAT fast. Hey if it's stable and tows like a dream...why not do 95? j/k In all reality I have taken it much easier the past few times to and from Dumont. No need to cause any more wear and tear on things. B)
  17. Yep, the Titan should do a lil better than the SUV.
  18. That smoke bothers me too. That's why I sit up-wind from the fire!
  19. Trust me, you'll be doing tricks with that truck/trailer when towing no matter what size the toyhauler. You'll see. Just wait till you get on the Tecopa road where the dips are. I don't care how slow you go...your sh*t's gonna buck like crazy with SUV suspension. You can do it, but once you tow with a 3/4 ton or bigger...you'll never do it again w/ again! :redhat:
