Sounds good, Bob. I am not much into the tricks, but I always love a nice smooth, fast dune ride anyday. Have him meet up with us on one of our group rides. We usually post up a time and place to meet.

Well put, but my head still hurts from all the talk about finger dunes and caution tape. It can go on and on and on.... Talking about caution tape and the finger dunes is like this....

Update on this incident: The pilot did NOT die. He is in UMC trauma though with some pretty serious injuries. Here is what his neice posted up on DSD.... All we can do is hope for the best at this point. I hope he recovers fully and quickly. It is sad to hear about his injuries, but it is good news to hear that he survived. My thoughts go out to the pilot.

sh*t ain't ever gonna happen...the day an IMPORT p/u can tow a big azz toyhauler- NOT. Those trucks just aren't stout enough. I doubt they will ever do it. They don't have a market for them overseas. :fro:

Yes being 5th gear pinned over whoops on a quad IS more difficult. I didn't say I couldn't do it, just that my 2 wheeler takes em way smoother and faster and the quad doesn't give me the same feeling. As for LEARNING HOW TO RIDE MY QUAD BETTER, maybe you should go on a ride with me and see if you can even hang. I ride the sh*t out of my quad and love it as well. It does give me a rush, but a different kind of rush from the 2 wheeler. That's all I was saying. From the sounds of it, you can't ride a 2 wheeler in the dunes. Why would I want to ride a track where I am forced to ride the same line over and over? It takes alot of skill and balls to ride a dirtbike FAST in the sand. Maybe YOU should learn how to ride better. :fro: I'll do what makes me happy...you do what makes YOU happy.

It was a very unfortunate indicident that has definitely shook the Dumont community. Some of these posts have been made "invisible" due to violation of our rules for this board. We at DDR apologize to any of the friends or family of Harry and Phil for some of these posts that continue to question the car's structural integrity. Whether the car was safe or not, it doesn't matter at this point. We have lost two fellow duners and that is truly a tradegy. We only hope this horrible crash will possibly help people be more safe in the dunes and try and take further safety measures. We will keep the friends and families of Harry and Phil in our thoughts and prayers. This topic will remain locked due to the never ending arguement about cage safety. We are all about safety in the dunes, but if you want to agrue about it, try another forum. We like to keep things friendly around here. Arguing and name calling won't be tolerated.
