The first few miles of it off the highway are paved, but it still turns into sand/ dirt. It is not too bad, but I will still refuse to take my toyhauler down it. It beats everything up too much. You could get through with a 2WD, but you may want 4WD if you are towing a big trailer. I just took it over Labor Day weekend at Coral since I didnt have by hauler that weekend.

Mike, you are more than welcome to camp with us again and anytime in the future. This goes for everyone else too. We had a blast with you guys and look forward to some more good times. Just PM me and I will give you directions to where we should be along the finger dune. It's not too far from where we were last weekend. ok, sounds good

That pic was actually before the "cake incident", but I couldn't resist. He was probably talking about the sand in his eye from the ride we just got back from when I accidently plowed sand with the car a couple times trying to take those quad transitions. doh

They are the big holes you run into in the dunes. They are sometimes like little slivers, sometimes they are round holes.

Duniemonkie will be making it out this trip! ....but she'll be arriving Friday afternoon sometime. She has to work on Friday.

To run an average sized AC unit, you'll want siomething at least 3000 watts. I had a 3000W gennie and it ran everything except for the AC and micro at the same time.

I too almost ran outt afuel. I think I need to clean my air filter in the truck. It's wayyy overdue. :DDR_rocks!: Maybe I got the last of the diesel. I stopped there for fuel and it shutoff at 74 bucks. John, was that you pulled over checking something on the truck or toyhauler on the side of the road just after the switchbacks on the Tecopa road? I wasn't sure.

oh yeah...more observations -I think everyone mistook my toyhauler for bathroom #6 I had ALOT of random people use my bathroom without even asking...that is NOT happening again -Tres Hermanos shake hands differenlty everytime pick a handshake and stick to it! -Pauly is a dedicated duner...He drives all the way from Oregon, then off to Dumont the next day thats fuggin right -cruddymutt has a duck -when it sounds like 2 people are arguing and about to kill each other off in the distance...it's usually just two drunk mexican guys having fun :DDR_rocks!: :angry2:

Well....I bought this kit before this last trip out.... AND IT DIDN'T CHANGE SH*T! :DDR_rocks!: $80 later and now I have a broken pipe bolt and stupid exhaust is still just as loud. uggghhh Time to change pipes now.
