Pics from our weekend vacation in Redondo, CA
dunefreak replied to dunefreak's topic in General Chat
nope, just thought it would be a funny pic. I wasn't sure WHAT to think of that place. -
...Or just the guy autographing Kyle's piece of paper.
-
Anything everyone thinks that will help out- just bring it. We need gas and generators if possible. We have a couple, but extras will be nice just in case for extra lighting, music, etc.

Talk about re-inventing the sandrail! unlike ANYTHING else! ......... all I gotta say is- I ain't ever workin on it! That's a freaking tight fit!
-
Anyone catch it on the X Games over the weekend? Man, that dude is da shizzle. smoooth Pastrana is one lucky guy. First freestyle and motocross, and now he's also racing offroad ralley cars . He's got some talent for sure.

Yeah, you can get a pusher into the camping area NO PROB. When you come in on the main gravel road and get to the top of the plateau, just camp to the left side of the road after bathroom 10. It's pretty hard packed over there. What time will you be heading out there or getting there I should say. You won't need to airdown either. PM me if you need more info.

Then we'd just have some other kind of bottle with a crew-on cap to make into a BOMB. Did I say that out loud...oh no- we don't do those kinds of things around camp. What if tomorrow wasn't MONDAY.

Duniemonkie & I just got back from Cali. It was a nice little suprise getaway she planned for our 5th year anniversary. The reason we went to Redondo was because that is where we went shortly after we first met and have some great memories of that place. We mainly just relaxed all weekend. B) We had a nice room at Hotel Hermosa with a jacuzzi where we got to unwind. It was pretty much walking distance from the beach. We had lunch at Club Sushi- delish! I'm not a sushi guy, but they have a bit of everything there. Relaxed some more a bit at the hotel and then wnet back out at sunset for some night time fun. Sunday we scoarched ourselelves on the beach like idiots. It was nice as hell though. WELL WORTH it. The temps were between 70 and 80 degrees all weekend. :headbang: We plan on going back on our 10th as a tradition. some will get a laugh outta this... a clean old Monte that sanddunesaddict would appreciate (he has a 71 ) ice cream place we went Club Sushi The drive home... (damn speed limiters )

The same people that come out with the bulldozers and change them every year? Then we'd have to wait for the wind to resculpt them. What if the beach and Dumont were in the same spot?
-
Ii think we can make it, especially if we split everything, Bert, and ride together.
-
Yep it was a pretty scarey incident, knowing he already has steel rods in his back and he ragdolled through the desert I didn't know what to expect when I went over to him.
-
a-hole that WAS funny as hell at the end though!
-
If he didn't look like that, then maybe he'd look like this... What if all sandrail manufacturers made their cars with a row of seats, then the engine, then another row of seats?
-
Really? I didn't know that. That sucks, Jim. I know how you must feel. I had to put Dusty down after 17 long years together. She was a great dog.
-
I too will be leaving about that time as well, just won't be able to leave from your shop (too far outta the way). We can maybe meet up at the Shell station on Blue Diamond if timing permits. Hell, if the weather stays decent like it has been recently, I'm leaving as early as I can after work on Saturday (eraly afternoon).
-
Like my Tahoe that one time you were screaming like a lil girl, Aaron!???
-
holy shiat!! ALL OTHER PICS HERE Dude I can't believe how badass that thing is! Lookin really good, Ryan. You know you need to call me as soon as that thing gets in town on the trailer right?
-
No it was duniemonkie, BUT... I did however also laugh my a$$ off while she was doing it and kinda helped out because it was just too damn funny!
-
Don't have a dog, but I've got a ka ka ka kitt-ty. :headbang: Her name if "f*ckin kiiiii- ttay"! Sorry no pics, they are at home. :shoot:
-
Now that's funny! :shoot: Sucks we can't make it, Dawn and Ross. When we got the invitation we were like nooooooooo, not that weekend! :headbang:
-
If you can get to Banshee Hill, you can get to Comp Hill with no problem. I do think they can get to Banshee Hill with a 2WD though. Like you said, air down. An added piece of advice- don't lift! :headbang: And don't venture away from the whoops. The whoops are your friend in a 2WD- they are hard packed unlike the sand surrounding them.
-
I didn't mean just you. And there you go again with the "sorry" thing. wtf? :headbang:
-
One more thing that would be nice is a decent size stereo we could crank up to add some :headbang: . Anyone have a set of speakers, receiver, and maybe cd player or XM/Sirius setup they could bring out? I have too much sh*t I'm bringing out and don't have the time or energy to worry about that too. Anyone wanna step up and handle it?
