what? I wasn't referring to anyone. :huh: I just wanted to know if there was someone that knew about Hayabusa cam timing out there. I didn't want to hear something like, "check the oil level" or something stupid like that. I needed specific facts, Nick. Thanks for your input over the phone though, Nick. "If it has compression the cam timing has to be right." Just messin w/ ya. I got it running!!!!!!!! Pat over at Carter Powersports hooked me up w/ some copies of pages from their svc manual for Hayabusas. I found that the intake cam was one tooth off. Fred (justntime's Buddy) was right. Kinda wierd that just that prevented the motor from starting at all. :monkeedance2: Oh well, who cares!!! My sh*t runs now! Lil Red Screamin Busa is back!! I just have to get a new battery now, clean the air filter, and get the car cleaned up and I might go test it out tomorrow. :headbang:

I just got my motor back together in my rail last night after having the cyl head off and cylinders off the engine. I got it all back together and it sounds like the cam timing is off when cranking. The car won't start. I have the cams lined right up where they need to be when @ TDC and it won't run. I have checked everything else, spark, fuel, etc and I am still convinced the timing is off for some reason. That is just what it sounds like to me. Does anyone have a manual for Hayabusas that show the timing marks or know someone who knows. I have talked to one m/c mechanic (justntime's buddy) and according to him- my sh*t's right where it needs to be. Any thoughts from people that are educated on this motor. :monkeedance2: Thanks

I have the Eagle Eye HID's and love em. They are more of a driving light than a spot or flood. I got them at the SSSS last year for like $385. I can see if I can dig up the guys card for the number if you want it.

I walked over to say hi, but I guess you weren't the guy driving the car...maybe it was your dad or somebody. I stopped and said hi, trickyls2racer?? The guy was like HUH?? WTF? He said, yeah it has an LS2. I was just like oh ok, nevermind. I felt like a complete dumbass. I asked if he was on the site (DDR), and he was even more confused. Where: DDR camp/ between the 1st & 2nd finger dunes When: Saturday April 15th Who is invited: all DDR peeps- familiar faces and new ones too Here are some suggestions as to what you can bring (you can bring anything you want, but I figure burgers & dogs will be the easiest to do with little hassle) burgers cheese (for the burgers) hotdogs burger & dog buns 1 large ketchup 1 large mustard mac and potato salad lettuce/ tomato/onion (prepared and ready for burgers) cake- oh yeah....cake :bash: baked beans chips (either a few big bags or a package of individual bagged chips) plates napkins 2- aluminum trays....1 for hotdogs, 1 for burgers I'll bring my grill. If anyone else can bring another grill or two that would be great- we need at least 2.
