yeah, hopefully Terry We'll try and get near the FoDD group. When are you headed out there?
-
Joe, lets see a pic of that bike!! Where's the pics????
-
I'd say go w/ Bud Light, Steve. I was actually thinking of trying to get some stuff done on Sunday. Budweiser makes it a bit hard the next day.

We should have a spot somewhere just to the right of the main gravel road after the first finger dune but before the 2nd one. It should be pretty hard packed for those of you w/ 2 wheel drives or motorhomes. I will get the DDR.com banner up as soon as I get there on Thurs. night. I will be bringing the big gay balloon, but I am not sure how long the motor will stay working. Last trip the motor took a crap, but I tried it the other day in the garage and it worked! It may stop working when it gets warm, so don't count on the balloon as a definite landmark. Sorry. I'm hoping we get a turnout that weekend. It should be a good time. Even if only some of you can make it out for a day, come on out. We should have a bunch of food and drinks for those that aren't loading up much to go out for only the day. See you all there! next weekend..... here's approximately where we'll be (on the X)...

That really sucks, Rich. I'm sure she'll still have a good time though. I'm sure there will be a buggy seat for her. Tell her that's nothin! I was out there Thanksgiving w/ TWO broken arms. Less than a week to go now everybody! Hope you are all getting ready.

Hey Eddie on the shiny shirt.....uh no. No shiny shirts for me. I'm covered. See you there. As far as tonight goes..I might not make it to HotRod Grill till about 10 ish. Anna & I gotta go look at a toyhauler in Pahrump! :shocked2: It might be worth it though- see you guys and gals there when Duniemonkie & I get back.

We are referring to the sandrail market as a whole these days. 10K is by far not a cheap price tag to me either, but as a whole it is cheap compared to a 50 or 60K car. Sandrails have come a long way and it's crazy how many high dollar rails are out there in the dunes.

FNG needs much advise on Truck / Toyhauler without brand names
dunefreak replied to OIF 5-7's topic in Toyhauler/ RV Talk
Hey JJ, just so ya know...that FS3400 has only about 16ft to the first cabinet. It has almost 20 ft of cargo, but that's to the sink. Check it out.... I am thinking of getting a 34ft Forest River Sandpiper Sport. (It's actually a 35ft 4" box) Check that one- I like the floor plan much better. I think it has a foot or so more cargo as well. -
My Thirsty Thursday will be at Rain in the Palms. I have tickets for the Puddle of Mudd/ Adam Corrolla Show. I am up for a Wasted Wednesday tonight though if anyone is interested....? Tonight, a few of us will probably go to Hot Rod Grill again. You in?

Yeah, WTF? Why is all your chit in his avatar, Todd?

Nick I know what you're saying, but the same can happen to someone who has a $10K rail and a $50K rail. Remember this story...?
-
Uh..no. I'll disagree w/ that. Steve isn't gonna get over confident w/ the car. He has driven my car and did damn well. He is extremely cautious and I think if he bought a cheaper car like Sand~~Snake's, he'd want to step up in no time flat. Why waste time w/ a car like that when he has his eye on something he knows he wants like a LONG travel. Should I have settled for a standard travel VW car when I bought my car??.....no. I had never driven in the dunes EVER before I bought my car and am extremely glad I purchased the car I did rather than starting cheap. I would have probably gotten extremely bored w/ a car like your're talking about as I already know Steve will too. In my opinion, you don't need a "cheaper" car to learn how to drive in the dunes. Trust me, I know you don't need a high dollar car either to have fun, but Steve knows what he wants. That's all.

think again, Nick :mc_smiley: Did you ever think as a first car, it may get MORE abuse as he may be on the gas & brakes more requiring MORE shifting rather than a faster paced driving style which is actually easier on drivetrain. Just my .02

That's when I am leaving, Terry. :mc_smiley: Thursday...ASAP!
