  1. DIRT BIKE RIDERRRRRRRRRRRRR!! :shocked2: That song rocks.
  2. Yayahhhh! :shocked2: Thanks Tony. It's amazing what a $150 pos surround system can do in a lil trailer.
  3. Yeah same here. My lil Busa car is my first.
  4. After checking on the pole Sun afternoon, we took a lil group pic... (thanks to the timer on the camera which I just set in the sand ) (left to right and top to bottom) 9digit, lvnalolife, stalteri920, me (dunefreak), duniemonkie, and tacomama

  6. duniemonkie & tacomama giving the new mailbox a lil dance...
  7. Much thanks to Bert (sanddunesaddict) for supplying the giant heavy pole that was used to make this new landmark. That thing was heavy!!
  8. Well, hopefully if a new one is put up after our hard work- the mailbox we made up will at least be mounted up in addition to the new one or at least given back to us. Here's some of my pics of construction of the new box put up this last weekend.. construction... the 1/4 ton tow truck/ mailbox repair/ DDR south pole installer truck... We were prepared! after all the work, a toast to the new mailbox finishing piece... group photo... (left to right: stalteri920, paulypaul, tacomama, ISBB, duniemonkie, dunefreak, justntime and wife Dawn - below)
  9. Some pics of construction.... painting the pole up... digging the 3 1/2 ft hole!! and that's all the pics for now... The other pics kinda give away the location. We can't give away the secret spot yet.
  10. I agree, Stalteri920. Weekend was great. Lots of fast rides , got to meet a lot of nice people in your group , weather was perfect, and fun was had by all  . I am really glad to meet your buddies. I haven't been riding w/ other 2 wheelers in a while. Me and PaulyPaul are the only ones on 2 wheelers in our camp. We go on just as fast of rides all the time on quads & rails, but there is just something different about riding w/ other 2 wheeler guys. Those fast runs were awesome. I can't believe nobody fell down or crashed. :shocked2: There were a couple close calls where a few of us almost collided. :headbang: That was funny. Hope to make it out to Amargosa w/ you guys that weekend of the APO you were talkin about. It was cool to finally camp w/ you too, rhinoking. We talk about Dumont all the time (since we live right down the street from each other) but haven't ever camped together since we both have our separate groups we have been going out w/ for a while. It was cool hangin w/ you and your family. Also glad 9digit, ISBB, lvnalolife, Matt, and justntime (and family) were able to make it out. We ended up having a pretty big camp. Weekend was a blast. :fart:
  11. So.... you are making a new north pole mailbox? Does that mean you will be taking down the one we made up?
  12. Congrats Chris. Not sure yet if I can help, but if I am in town and don't have any plans, I'll help ya. Don't forget the toyhauler acts as a nice moving van.
  13. You'll just have to find out for yourself.
  14. not sure it would get viewed any more over there, but if TBonesMalones wants me too, no prob. TBM, just let me know if you want it moved or pinned.
  15. Hell no, that thing is a pain in the ayaaaassss! I just save that for the BIG weekends. ISBB just called me as they showed up at Dumont and he said they are just about 100 yards or so (give or take) out north from bathroom 8- which is pretty much where we have the map marked.
  16. I'm outta here in a couple hours. Can't wait. Anyone esle that might be coming out is welcome to come by or even stay at our camp. Just look on the map (on the X) for where we'll be. I should have my DDR banner up as well. Later guys and gals.
  17. PM lvnalolife (JJ) for directions. Lookin forward to meeting some new faces from DDR.
  18. This is why I am thinking of just keeping my ol 02 p.o.s Baja instead of biting the bullet for an expensive a$$ (but nice) new toyhauler. It works pretty good and has quite a bt of cargo space considering it's 24ft size. The price is also alot nicer than a new one. I don't owe much left on it.
  19. right, Don, but I think the milky-ness was from synthetic and non-syn oil combining.
  20. Well this is quite an old topic, but still something that has been a concern for me. Nothing has come up that has posed a problem w/ my bike. I have changed the oil about 3-4 times since I saw the intermix. Every time I changed the oil it has looked better and better. Last night I changed it 1 more time (wanted to ck it before I went out this weekend) and no intermix at all!! I am thinking the "intermixed" looking oil was maybe just from going w/ a fully synthetic oil after running regular oil in the past. I have seen synthetic & reg oil do this before. They don't mix. They kinda turn to a jello type substance. I am now sticking w/ the old regular non-synthetic oil that I have always run and never had problems with. I am still keeping my fingers crossed and gonna keep an eye on the oil & coolant. I'd love to get a new 2 wheeler, but just love my 'ol 94 too much.
  21. Couldn't have said it better myself. I used to tow my toyhauler loaded up to 9500 lbs w/ my half ton! It did pretty darn well, but after towing w/ my new 3500, I can easily say I will never do it again. Too much on the line if something ever happens. I never got a blow-out or got into any "hairy" situations that would have required a bigger truck to pull thorugh safely. Thank God for that. These heavy trailers tow pretty good considering their weight and most of us get pretty comfortable towing them. Definitley need to still pay attention to safety w/ these things.
  22. That's some funny shiat right there. Hope to see you and a bunch of other DDR locals there as well, wingnut.
  23. Terry, 2 questions for you: 1. You gonna join the DDR camp that weekend w/ everybody or you camping in your normal spot? 2. Is there some more info on FoDD that I can post about the clean-up? I saw the info on Bob's page (DSD), but was wondering if there was any more info we could send out about the cleanup. I tried DumontSandDunes.org and .info but they are both down. Didn't you say Thomas (v8rail) was working on it?
  24. You can't look at it that way. Yes a larger rear sprocket gives you a more powerful low end. The reason that makes it like that is cause the wheel speed is being decreased causing the eng to turn more rpm's. If you add height to the wheel/tire- you are making the revolutions of the wheel take longer to complete thus making the engine rpm's lower and making it lug down. Hope that didn't sound too confusing.
  25. "What dunes are those?" Effen Kenny!
