  1. Congrats Chris. Not sure yet if I can help, but if I am in town and don't have any plans, I'll help ya. Don't forget the toyhauler acts as a nice moving van.
  2. You'll just have to find out for yourself.
  3. not sure it would get viewed any more over there, but if TBonesMalones wants me too, no prob. TBM, just let me know if you want it moved or pinned.
  4. Hell no, that thing is a pain in the ayaaaassss! I just save that for the BIG weekends. ISBB just called me as they showed up at Dumont and he said they are just about 100 yards or so (give or take) out north from bathroom 8- which is pretty much where we have the map marked.
  5. I'm outta here in a couple hours. Can't wait. Anyone esle that might be coming out is welcome to come by or even stay at our camp. Just look on the map (on the X) for where we'll be. I should have my DDR banner up as well. Later guys and gals.
  6. PM lvnalolife (JJ) for directions. Lookin forward to meeting some new faces from DDR.
  7. This is why I am thinking of just keeping my ol 02 p.o.s Baja instead of biting the bullet for an expensive a$$ (but nice) new toyhauler. It works pretty good and has quite a bt of cargo space considering it's 24ft size. The price is also alot nicer than a new one. I don't owe much left on it.
  8. right, Don, but I think the milky-ness was from synthetic and non-syn oil combining.
  9. Well this is quite an old topic, but still something that has been a concern for me. Nothing has come up that has posed a problem w/ my bike. I have changed the oil about 3-4 times since I saw the intermix. Every time I changed the oil it has looked better and better. Last night I changed it 1 more time (wanted to ck it before I went out this weekend) and no intermix at all!! I am thinking the "intermixed" looking oil was maybe just from going w/ a fully synthetic oil after running regular oil in the past. I have seen synthetic & reg oil do this before. They don't mix. They kinda turn to a jello type substance. I am now sticking w/ the old regular non-synthetic oil that I have always run and never had problems with. I am still keeping my fingers crossed and gonna keep an eye on the oil & coolant. I'd love to get a new 2 wheeler, but just love my 'ol 94 too much.
  10. Couldn't have said it better myself. I used to tow my toyhauler loaded up to 9500 lbs w/ my half ton! It did pretty darn well, but after towing w/ my new 3500, I can easily say I will never do it again. Too much on the line if something ever happens. I never got a blow-out or got into any "hairy" situations that would have required a bigger truck to pull thorugh safely. Thank God for that. These heavy trailers tow pretty good considering their weight and most of us get pretty comfortable towing them. Definitley need to still pay attention to safety w/ these things.
  11. That's some funny shiat right there. Hope to see you and a bunch of other DDR locals there as well, wingnut.
  12. Terry, 2 questions for you: 1. You gonna join the DDR camp that weekend w/ everybody or you camping in your normal spot? 2. Is there some more info on FoDD that I can post about the clean-up? I saw the info on Bob's page (DSD), but was wondering if there was any more info we could send out about the cleanup. I tried DumontSandDunes.org and .info but they are both down. Didn't you say Thomas (v8rail) was working on it?
  13. You can't look at it that way. Yes a larger rear sprocket gives you a more powerful low end. The reason that makes it like that is cause the wheel speed is being decreased causing the eng to turn more rpm's. If you add height to the wheel/tire- you are making the revolutions of the wheel take longer to complete thus making the engine rpm's lower and making it lug down. Hope that didn't sound too confusing.
  14. "What dunes are those?" Effen Kenny!
  15. Taller tire- requires more power to turn/ higher top speed due to "taller"gearing Smaller tire- easier to spin/ less top speed due to "shorter" gearing
  16. Is it just me or does anybody else have no problem w/ the gas odors? I have had my Raptor & buggy in the toyhauler Since Saturday (now Thurs) and no gas odors at all.
  17. It's not that close to the ranger station. Don't forget all the area before the first finger dune and around the "rock pile" before you get to the ranger station. I'm talking about the same general area kinda where our camp usually is, but just not against the finger- more like smack dead in between the first and second fingers.
  18. That sucks, Terry. Keep us posted when you go out. It was fun last weekend hangin out and duning w/ you and your crew.
  19. I think camp should be somewhere to the right just off the gravel road a little before you get to the 2nd finger dune. I nice big visible/ easy-to-find spot should work there.
  20. That suzuki is like 4 colors!! You can't say that thing has any ugly Suzuki color like yellow even in it. BACK TO THE SUBJECT!!! Where does everybody think camp should be!!??
  21. Whatever, they look damn good on my screen. You computer fools with your giant screens will just have to live with the size they are- they took long enough to get them up the way they are.
  22. Yeah no shiat. I don't like those huge toyhauler's with the garages in the back. Like you said, Dime Store Hood, you can only fit like 2 quads in there. If your gonna buy a big one, I'd get a GearBox like rhino king bought. You could fit a small buggy, 2 or 3 quads and maybe 1 m/c or kids quad in that thing. AND it has a big slide out! One of the best layouts I've seen yet in a big toyhauler w/ a slideout yet.
