Saw this the other day. A dump truck trailering a Bobcat lost it's brakes going down the mountain and slammed into a RV killing the man and woman in it. I can't believe how bad that RV looks. It's like the entire body got ripped off the chassis! Link to the story, http://www.fox5vegas.com/story/33357447/dump-truck-slams-into-2-vehicles-in-deadly-crash-near-red-rock

Replacing the vinyl flooring in toyhaulers
dunefreak replied to dunefreak's topic in Toyhauler/ RV Talk
That's what I was thinking, just put the new stuff right over the top. Thanks Terry. Might have to give it a shot. -
I added "Recent Status updates" to the sidebar. We'll see if anyone uses it. I think it's better than a shoutbox because you can post to each other's profile or reply to others' posts. The posts also show up in the activity stream. The shoutbox was sorta dated and rarely used so I don't see us adding it back.

Has anyone replaced the vinyl (linoleum) flooring in their hauler? I'm thinking about updating mine. Wondering if this is a job I should tackle or get my flooring guy to do it. I doubt that stuff is glued down very good, if at all.

Always bugs me when people leave that stuff behind. You brought it there. Bring it home! Very disrespectful. Thanks for cleaning it up. How was it out there this weekend? Had to be windy as hell.

I love it. Super clean! Good job, Ted. See you Halloween weekend.

Excellent. We had with you guys. Make sure you leave your car in gear this time when we stop on a hill. hahaha Runaway buggy!

It happens almost every big holiday weekend. I see a post or get a message about a lost dog. Usually in all the excitement of the dunes and partying, people somehow loose track of their pup. So I thought it would be a good idea to get some tips together on how to prevent loosing your dog and also what you can do to get him/her back. Post some up if you have some. While surfing the land of Facebook, I actually saw a cool post. It's a product developed for dogs. It's called the LightHound Visibility Vest. I guess you could make one, but at $50, it seems like a no brainer if you have a dog. I would buy one! Pretty cool.

Same spot as usual! B7

We're prepping for the trick-or- treaters this year. Last year we ran out of candy really quick. If you have a large camp, expect the kids come by the trailer-full. We found the best deal on candy is to buy it in bulk online. We ordered up several hundred pieces from Oriental Trading. I hope were prepared this time.

ok cool. Let me know. I looked into if I can have the nav bar menu button update too and it's not possible for custom feeds. Only the New Posts link can be customized. That link also appears at the bottom of the page so that's handy when surfing the site.

Damn I wish I was. I almost always have tickets through my buddy @b370, but not this year. I might bite the bullet and actually pay for them this time. I really would like to go. Monster Cup is always a blast.

Hopefully that makes sense. Let me know if you need help or get stuck.

Ahh I think I know what you are talking about...new posts and how the recent activity is displayed in your stream. There is a way to create your own stream and make the New Posts/ unread content button act how you want it to. It's really easy. I just learned how myself. lol 1. Click new posts. 2. Make necessary adjustments to the options how want the new posts to be displayed. There are plenty of options. Make sure you read them all and understand what they mean. Then SAVE as New Stream. 3. Then when the page refreshes with your new posts listed, click the little check mark icon next to the title ("New Posts") and make it your default stream. Now the New Posts link/ button will display the new posts and site content that you prefer to see when you click it. Note: this will only change the New Posts link under the nav bar. That will be your custom news feed. I don't know if I can make it update the new button on the nav bar. I'll look into that. The little newspaper/ "new post" icon on the mobile site will now also show this custom feed. At any time you want to edit or delete it, just click the edit or delete button next to the title of the stream.

What are you referring to? Checking new forum posts or private messages?
-
That's great to hear. Thanks Stephen. If there is anything you think should be changed or added, just let me know. I still need to tweak the mobile header a little bit to incorporate our logo, but it's not a big deal for now.

Any complaints or suggestions with the new site? There's only a couple little things I still need to fix and tweak, but everything seems to be working smoothly.

I have built a new section of the site geared towards live updates from Dumont. You can now report the weather, send a pic, or brag about your cold beer from your mobile device. 1) Simply go to Conditions which is on the drop down menu (top/ right icon on your phone). It's also on the full site as well. 2) Click Add new dune report. 3) Fill out the form and upload a photo at the bottom where it says Choose single file under Image. If you want to add additional photos, just add them in the editor like you would in a forum post. You'll be added automatically into your post. 4) Your post will be reviewed, then approved (no d*ck pics! lol) and will appear on the Latest Conditions page. *New dune reports will show up when you click new posts or unread content.

Yes unfortunately.

Let me see if I can dig some up. He might have posted them on here a while ago. It was @sanddunesaddict. He passed away 2 years ago so it might be impossible to get a hold of him.
-
yep I remember that!

Post up if you are in. This is a group trip for all sandcar guys who want to camp together and run the dunes all weekend. It's a great way to meet other buggy guys and run together. Everyone from the site is invited to come out and join in on the fun. We just ask that any bikes or side x sides please stay in the back for safety reasons. We'll be camped in C-6 on the grid map. Last year's camp

My buddy did Line X on the floor and partial way up the walls of his enclosed trailer. It looks awesome, isn't slippery and cleans up easy. 4 The Truck is a site sponsor and Line X shop. They always cut us a deal. Tell em DDR sent ya. It wouldn't be cheaper than linoleum, but it would probably be the best solution.
