  1. VP at the pump? Where around here (vegas) is VP at the pump?
  2. DDR head count for this weekend: So there's Don29palms, Joe, originalpimp, aceisback, wingnut, me, steveo, paulypaul, Wes ( I forgot his screen name), tacomama, VegasJones, sanddunesaddict, sandYFZ, ISBB? (maybe), superdave, HI Turtle, rcjunky3? Anyone else that I missed?
  3. No ISBB, renekoki meant he saw reservoirs on the shocks just like the Z400's have stock. Remember Doug's shocks have those reservoirs, or can you even see past those purple shock covers.
  4. Good to hear from you Dorie. Glad to see that you will be covered w/ the bill and all. Thank God. Oh yeah, I got a pic of your ride leaving Dumont that Sunday! Frame this one. Keep up the good spirits.
  5. Rhinos! Sounds scarey as hell, especially running w/ the cars and trucks!
  6. I think its the same frame design.
  7. The topic is over here Yeah it belongs over in Dumont Happenings, but whatever.
  8. Yeah I know exactly what your talkin about. When that wind is whippin I don't dare come close to the top. You can't see at all, not to mention getting sand blasted!!! OUCH.
  9. Shoulda tried the DMax. I love mine. I'm not trying to start a Ford vs Chevy war cause I think Steveo's truck runs good too. I don't see a problem w/ that 6.0. Just never been a Ford guy.
  10. Whatever happened- we know one or more died and another got seriously injured. Very tragic indeed. I want to know why these guys weren't buckled in? My condolences to the family and friends of these people. Just another reminder how safe we need to be out there in the dunes. Very sad.
  11. PaulyPaul just told me his friend came across a rail near the n pole Fri Night. There was nobody around the car, but the eng was still warm. He started back to camp with his group and saw a flashlight wave in the bottom of a bowl. It was the driver and his son. They got a ride back to camp and he asked Paul's friend if he could just leave the car there. He didn't want to have anything to do w/ the car cause he almost killed his son. So he just GAVE the car to this guy PaulyPaul knows. From what I understand, they were ok though.
  12. Well either way, your welcome over with us if you'd like. Me or my toyhauler is by NO MEANS the opposite of low budget. I'm not gonna be embarrassed by a tent. Dumont aint a fashion show to me.
  13. Here's what we'll be in... Steveo's F350 and toyhauler
  14. We should be out Sat AM sometime. How many people/rigs you gonna have w/ you? Anybody else from DDR coming out?
  15. ...dumping grey water... Pack it in, pack it ALL out. Grey water is nasty too.
  16. NOPE, there is NO dumping allowed at all.
  17. Welcome to DDR, ORIGINALPIMP! Sweet car you picked up. Can't wait to check it out next weekend. I'm sure we'll find you guys ok. Your gonna be camped in that spot we picked out on the map right? Somewhere in the middle between the 2 finger dunes, or up against the finger? Lemme know.
  18. Wingnut, I think eceyone is gonna camp in their usual spots on New Years. We'll prob only have a DDR only camp on some off-weekends. You're welcome to camp w/ our group. Get in touch w/ me if you want directions to where we camp.
  19. here's 2 I found on Toyhauler magazine's website... http://www.usarv.us/ http://www.adventurerentals.net/ <--this one has some annoying a$$ music! hope that helps
  20. Ohhh ok. I didn't notice who all was behind us in that crazy wind storm.
  21. Not too bad, but we took that f*cker down about 4-5 oclock on Sat. Didn't wanna chance it. It started dancin around in the wind quite a bit.
  22. Joe I don't think that car was there on the DDR ride. You sure? I don't remember it...?
  23. I posted these on our old forum a while back, but some of you might not have gotten a chance to see em... It was mt buddies friend that went up the far right side of comp when he went to turn around, something snapped and the truck stopped sideways on the hill. Him and his wife then braced and tucked as low down in the truck as possible, then it began to roll. It must have rolled 6-10 times down the hill. Ben (the driver) said he thought it was never gonna stop. The truck had NO CAGE either. Luckily him, his wife, and their dog were ok. Im sure that dog went on a hell of a ride. Luckily they escaped with pretty minor injuries. He banged up his shoulder and she hurt her elbow a bit, but nothing major. We dragged it back to camp and we loaded it up on a friend of their's trailer. Here's the pics I took...(sorry it was at night-not the best pics)
