  1. Looks badass, Steve. They did a really good job as always.
  2. Pretty exciting news today from GoPro. They introduced the GoPro 5 which is waterproof to 33 ft without a housing. It also has stabilization. http://shop.gopro.com/cameras/hero5-black/CHDHX-501-master.html PLUS their new Karma Drone and stabilization gimble! Looks like it features the same specs as the DJI Phantom. The drone is $799 and can be used with a GoPro 4 or 5. The complete kit for $119 comes with a GoPro 5. This thing looks like it might be the drone for me. Pretty trick! http://shop.gopro.com/karma
  3. Got my season pass in the mail the other day! Looks like 5 people beat me to the #1 pass or they were given out to the sub group members. The BLM used one of my photos this year too. Pretty stoked about that. More pass info here, http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/featured/passes
  4. Let's get some good Halloween theme pics going for October. Post one pic. The winner's dune pic will be posted on the homepage after the contest is over. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well as your caption or description included with the pic. Dune Pic of the Month- Rules 1. The picture must be YOURS. Do not go surfing the internet looking for one to submit. You cannot post any photos you do not own. 2. The picture must not have any watermarks or logos on it. 3. The picture must be at least 600 x 600 pixels. It will be displayed on the home page if it wins the most votes, therefore we would like it to be a decent size picture. 4. The picture must abide by the terms and conditions (rules) of this board. 5. Post only ONE picture per contest. 6. By posting a photo, you allow DDR to use it on our webpages & post it on our social media.
  5. Dune season will be here before we know it. I've compiled a simple list for each thing that requires our time and attention. If you have anything you think should be on the list, post it up here or in the comments. I'll add it to the news article. http://www.dumontduneriders.com/index.php/news/_/articles/featured/dune-season-prepping
  6. This will be my first trip of the season. A bunch of people have been asking me about trick or treating since Halloween is on Monday. Judging from every other year and the usual Dumont tradition, I'd have to say it will still be on Saturday night. That's what everyone has always done. BTW, you guys have to see what the "Flintstones Crew" from last year has up their sleeve for this year. I can't give anything away yet, but it's going to be awesome.
  7. Last I heard AT&T is no good out there. I've had good 3G signal and even 4G with Verizon but signal depends on area and the amount of people who are out there.

The 4th Annual Buggy Roundup Dune Trip will be Dec 9-11, 2016. This is an annual Dumont trip for all the guys and girls who have buggies. We camp together as a group across from bathroom 10 on the hard pack. This way nobody gets lost or stuck. The Buggy Roundup gives everyone a chance to meet up, hang out, and run the dunes together without the madness of a holiday weekend. New to the Roundup? No problem. Just post up on the forum topic that you are coming and you're in. The circle is big and there's always room for more. We'll make a second ring if we have to. Many of us know each other, but many don't. One thing's for sure...at the end of the weekend, total strangers end up leaving as friends. Schedule of Events There isn't one! This is Dumont. We don't look at our watches or have schedules. Sometimes we sleep in, sometimes we get up early to shred the dunes. It all depends on how much fun we had the night before. We usually hit the dunes runs whenever someone in camp yells, let's roll! Buggy Weigh In: If Ben is able to bring his scales this year like he has in the past, you'll get a chance to weigh your car. Get a full digit readout of the weight at all four corners. Place bets and talk crap about how each others car needs to go on a diet! Tacos and UFC: This year we'll be hosting tacos and UFC! We'll be grilling up carne asada for everyone and projecting UFC 206 on the side of a trailer. Grab a taco and a beer and find yourself a spot around the fire. RSVP Just post up on the forum topic and tell us you are in. Feel free to upload a pic of your rig and buggy as well. Side x Sides and Bikes We don't discriminate, however this is the BUGGY roundup. Everyone is welcome to come camp with the group, but we ask that all bikes and side x sides hop behind the buggies on dune runs. It's for your own safety. Big cars don't mix well with bikes and side x sides. Last years trip report http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=20475
  12. Haha things are still a little slow around here. Usually mid October there's a bunch more action. You're welcome to join our group. We're a bunch of buggy guys who like to go fast and have some drinks, laughs and good conversation at night around the fire.
  13. Good luck, man. I'm sure there are other options. I've rented from EL Monte RV in the past too. They were good to deal with.

  15. Mid 30's at night? What elevation will you be at?
  16. I bet that thing is a BLAST in the desert! Nice car.
  17. Isn't that just a regular 3 days for you? Doesn't have to be a weekend right? BTW, you need a new avatar Terry. Maybe a pic of you golfing on a dune? haha
  18. What's everyone doing for Labor Day weekend? Hitting the mountains? Lake? Beach? Someplace else worth mentioning? Let's hear it. I had a nice 4 day weekend last weekend in Mammoth. Trying to decide where to go this weekend. It's hard for me to stay in town, but holiday weekends get busy everywhere.
  19. Need some more, guys. Come on. Wake up! lol
  20. Looking good. Exciting to see it come together. I've always been a fan of these cars. I knew Stephan and Thomas from V8 Rail back in the day. I almost pulled the trigger on 2 seat V Rex frame but didn't have the time, funds or patience for a project. I'm good friends with Ryan. I took that pic you posted of Ryans green car back in 2004. His red car is insane. This is from 2008 at Glamis. https://youtu.be/6RqdRiql62o Good luck on the build! Hope you get it together quickly.
