    The 4th Annual Buggy Roundup Dune Trip will be Dec 9-11, 2016. This is an annual Dumont trip for all the guys and girls who have buggies. We camp together as a group across from bathroom 10 on the hard pack. This way nobody gets lost or stuck. The Buggy Roundup gives everyone a chance to meet up, hang out, and run the dunes together without the madness of a holiday weekend. New to the Roundup? No problem. Just post up on the forum topic that you are coming and you're in. The circle is big and there's always room for more. We'll make a second ring if we have to. Many of us know each other, but many don't. One thing's for sure...at the end of the weekend, total strangers end up leaving as friends. Schedule of Events There isn't one! This is Dumont. We don't look at our watches or have schedules. Sometimes we sleep in, sometimes we get up early to shred the dunes. It all depends on how much fun we had the night before. We usually hit the dunes runs whenever someone in camp yells, let's roll! Buggy Weigh In: If Ben is able to bring his scales this year like he has in the past, you'll get a chance to weigh your car. Get a full digit readout of the weight at all four corners. Place bets and talk crap about how each others car needs to go on a diet! Tacos and UFC: This year we'll be hosting tacos and UFC! We'll be grilling up carne asada for everyone and projecting UFC 206 on the side of a trailer. Grab a taco and a beer and find yourself a spot around the fire. RSVP Just post up on the forum topic and tell us you are in. Feel free to upload a pic of your rig and buggy as well. Side x Sides and Bikes We don't discriminate, however this is the BUGGY roundup. Everyone is welcome to come camp with the group, but we ask that all bikes and side x sides hop behind the buggies on dune runs. It's for your own safety.     Haha things are still a little slow around here. Usually mid October there's a bunch more action. You're welcome to join our group. We're a bunch of buggy guys who like to go fast and have some drinks, laughs and good conversation at night around the fire.

    What's everyone doing for Labor Day weekend? Hitting the mountains? Lake? Beach? Someplace else worth mentioning? Let's hear it. I had a nice 4 day weekend last weekend in Mammoth. Trying to decide where to go this weekend. It's hard for me to stay in town, but holiday weekends get busy everywhere.

    Looking good. Exciting to see it come together. I've always been a fan of these cars. I knew Stephan and Thomas from V8 Rail back in the day. I almost pulled the trigger on 2 seat V Rex frame but didn't have the time, funds or patience for a project. I'm good friends with Ryan. I took that pic you posted of Ryans green car back in 2004. The member's screen name will be posted up with it as well as your caption or description included with the pic. Dune Pic of the Month- Rules 1. The picture must be YOURS. Do not go surfing the internet looking for one to submit. You cannot post any copyrighted pics. 2. The picture must not have any watermarks or logos on it. 3. The picture must be at least 600 x 600 pixels. It will be displayed on the home page if it wins the most votes so therefore we would like it to be a decent size picture. 4. The picture must abide by the terms and conditions (rules) of this board. 5. Post only ONE picture per contest 6. By posting a photo, you allow DDR to use it on our webpages & post it on our social media.

    Hey man, you got anymore of that crack sand? In the summertime I always stay busy with other adventures, camping, hiking, mountain biking, etc. I don't know what it is about today though. I seriously got the itch to hit some sand! I went out to the garage last night and it was even giving me dirty looks! We still have 2 months before Dumont dune season starts. I might have to make my way to some higher elevation sand before then though. I dunno. Anyone else getting the itch? This picture sure doesn't help!

    Yep, the price tag is always the deal killer for that kind of power/weight ratio machine. They look fun for about 10k, therefore I'll never own one. On a side note, I find it hilarious that Can Am put BJ Baldwin in their promo video "sitting on the sidelines" watching the new X3 fly by.

    The lightning storms were impressive last night so Anna & I headed to the Eldorado dry lake with my camera and tripod and literally watched the show for hours. The skyline to the east and above Nelson was lit up all night. More photos on my site, livelikepete.com/lightning-in-the-desert/
