Good idea on the tow service. Last Tday there was a kid in a Suzuki Samurai that was pulling people out all weekend. He couldn't have been 20 years old. I bet he was making some cash, I even watched him pull out a Ford F350 pulling a 5er and a trailer behind that. As long as he is there I don't think anyone needs to be worried about getting pulled out.

For black canvas mine was $180 but the best thing to use is sport vinyl like what they use on convertibles it's vinyl on top and black canvas underneath and that would bump up the price like $40 or $50.

Just about any automotive upholstery shop should be able to do it for you. Mine has button snaps all the way around the top like a tonneau cover on a pickup. Makes it easy to remove if need be and stays tight unlike the nylon straps that tend to stretch loosen up and flap around a bunch.

Have the mohawks too and love them. Very good tire, awesome handling.

I personally have only ever run Skat-Trak and have had both the edge and haulers. I prefer the way the haulers ride, I don't know why but for me they seem to allow you to slide a little bit when you want to. The edges feel like they want to grab and slide and are hard to find a happy median when say a long traverse on steeper hills.

After a couple months of research I believe the best kit on the market right now is the HCR Racing A-arms with fox shocks and as far as axles goes if you aren't racing just longer shafts is perfectly fine. Hi Dezert Motorsports is a dealer for them and put together a kit for under 6 grand. Call Paul at HDF 760-937-2885 and the site for HCR is clicky HCR Racingm/ I just put the kit on my Rhino and it is awesome. Superstrong and rides great, I think the only change i might make is going with dual rate springs if they make some short enough.

Did nobody read this post? The guy didn't run.

How old is the kid? Can the kid ride a bicycle?
-
That would be the reason for the change to 4 wheel disks for the 08. The brake on the drive shaft on the rear will sound like that no matter what you do. You can mess with it and it will be good and then it will start again. Run it, if it breaks fix it.

you guys!!! I can't get there til Thanksgiving!!! :rant_on:
-
Am I the only person who's dream house is a 500 sqft house with a 10,000 sqft shop with 16ft ceilings?
-
Actually Thanksgiving 06 was pretty dead as far as the wind was concerned. Comp straight up sucked cause there wasn't a breeze blowing the dust out.

Have any of you ever heard of old gas that wouldn't burn? We took a 55 gallon drum that had like 10 gallons in it that sat around for a few years and figured we would use it as fire starter and fun gas just to get rid of it and when we went to light the first fire we dumped a bunch on and went to light it and it wouldn't even burn.

Friends wife will come hang out with us in the garage while we're tweekin this or that but she b*tches like crazy if we have to run to the store real quick and get a few bolts or run to the scrap yard and search for some stupid little part that's holding us up. I thought she was gonna explode one day when we were about halfway through the motor swap and I asked her "Do you feel like sitting in camp when we go to the dunes?". She said she didn't and wanted to go for rides in the buggy and hang out at comp and drive it to Vendors. Well in short my answer was if she didn't shut the hell up about it we would just stop right where we are and she wouldn't be able to do any of the stuff she likes so much when we make a trip. I think she got the idea real quick and didn't bother us the rest of the job.

I'm starting to think that as long as you have a lawyer and are ready to sue the government you can do whatever the hell you want without recourse. That's what all those "rights" groups do. They threaten to sue the government and then the government backs down and does what it's told. There is absolutely no difference between those groups and the groups that are causing our public lands to be shut down. They have the exact same tactics. As far as how criminals are dealt with I believe that there should be instant death to all people who willingly kill another human being. Should someone convicted with say involuntary manslaughter be sentenced to death? No. I also agree with the earlier opinion of placing people convicted of rape and child molestation in general population and if they die then oh well! The illegal alien thing is something that irritates the hell out of me. Did you know that if a person goes into a welfare office and applies and their social security number matches another, usually if they match one they match 500, the government official cannot question it whatsoever? Well that is just one example of the sheer lack of governmental action to deal with the problem. If a person is witnessed crossing the boarder illegally they they should be shot on sight and hung on the fence as a warning to others who may feel the need to follow in his or her footsteps. Yeah I know, I am a heartless person. The first thing we should do immediately after that is round up every single person of Latin descent that cannot speak english and ship them home. Then after you take car of that check up on everyone that is in the prison system and if they are not a legal resident send them back. Finally you check with all that are left and if they do not have a job then they go back too. Then and only then you can start letting them legally immigrate to work and if they don't already have a job lined out for them then they don't get through the gate. For those of you that may think I am being harsh then you should look up the rules for people immigrating into Mexico. You will find that the only way a person can immigrate North into Mexico is if you are a skilled worker. If you are simply an unskilled laborer tough sh*t you don't get to come in. If you have a criminal record tough sh*t you don't get in.

I tried bringing my dog to the dunes once also just for a day trip. He hated it, you wanna talk about a grumpy SOB! Ever since then I have just left him with the boarder, my parents. They have a few dogs and I swear he likes it there better than he does with me so it works out good.

just checked out their page and they custom link is gone so they must be backed up with orders. there is only 2 guys designing and printing every set of graphics they make.
-
try checking with resenmx.com they do full custom graphics for a very good price. they did the graphics on my quad in my avatar and my 04 crf450. if you give them an idea of what you like they will come up with something email you a pic of what they came up with you decide if you like it or want to change it then they print it. you might ask about making you a deal for a second set of the same design they might work with you on that so you always have a backup if they get messed up

I havn't driven a rhino with aftermarket shocks but I know just the difference from the base model shocks and the sport edition piggybacks is huge. But if you're gonna go from base to stock piggys they you might as well go with aftermarket for an extra few hundred bucks.

How about a pooper pumper!!! I bet there are plenty of big families that have to watch the holding tanks close as not to over fill. Hell, when people are leaving they could pump ya on the way out. It's a sh*tty job but someone oughta do it.

Bob, if you don't have enough stability with a Ranger then you should stick to the buggy. Hell if I had your buggy I would get rid of all the rest of my toys.

I love the smell of U4!!! They need to make air fresheners with that scent. My room mate would keep his cans on the back porch under the bathroom window and even with a sealed can if the window was open the scent would fill the house. Even the girls that would stop by thought it smelled good until they found out it was race gas.

On the contrary, it is designed to get the performance out of a lower compression motor. U4 is oxygenated, think of it like CO2 in beer. The extra oxygen dissolved in the fuel makes kinda like the effect of a turbo, more oxygen more power. It is completely mixable with pump gas with no bad effects. The bummer is that it is around $12 a gallon or more and you have to use a steel container and drain your fuel from the carb or it will gum up the inner workings. Friends who run it in motocross bikes say that you can leave it in your tank for a limited amount of time but if you aren't gonna run it in the next few days you better drain that too. Another bummer is that it has a super low boiling point and if it is hotter than 80 degrees the chances of it boiling before it gets to the motor are very high and your bike won't run very well. If it were me I would stick with the 98 Sunoco with a 12.5 to 1 piston. Free is free and unless you are serious about racing it isn't worth the time and effort of messing with it. I'm a big guy too, 320 lbs and I won't touch the stuff.

I would say that if you havn't done it get offset wheels above any performance modification. Before you have the kick you need the stability to handle it. After that I would say CDI, jetting, intake and exhaust, be it k&n factory replacement with a larger muffler tip or cold air intake with full exhaust system to open up the motor and let it breathe. those are the easiest and most beneficial until you get into the motor internals, carb or clutch mods.
