Found what seems to be a good deal on a 70. Problem is the bike has no title. They would provide bill of sale only. Ran a DMV report at work and VIN comes back as non-existing with CA DMV. Called CHP and they said they can't tell me whether it's stolen or not. I like to have all my bikes registered and titled. Am i going to have a hard time registering this thing in CA?

Looks like I left right when the party was starting! I had to take off Saturday night. What a fuggin blast running around on the 70s all day though!! GREAT event. Pete did an awesome job of getting a great group of people together... Won some cool stuff at the raffle, had a killer BBQ sammich, had some laughs... good times FINALLY met some DDR peeps. I rolled out solo this trip and I never felt out of place. Everyone was friendly and extremely cool. Camped next to the GD crew and those are some awesome dudes. Locked my keys in my truck and luckily remembered that I have onstar because Poule was in his trailer looking for his "universal key" that happened to look like a big a$$ rock... Went out on a ride with everybody on Sat afternoon and OMG what a bitchen ride Pete led... I've never chased rails around the dunes before and it fuggin rocked! I have about 500 pics to go through. Will post up ASAP... Learned how to pull the carb on trike in about 2 minutes after the fourth time I yanked it. I made 1 carb out of two after it turned out that they were both missing parts/inop... and i STILL didn't get the fugger running... Is it time for the 2011 Regatta yet?

I did. It made my lazy azz get off the couch and get in the garage to ready the bikes. I'm just pissed I won't have my other bike done in time...

No sweat Randy. I'll be home early enough tonight to take a look at the TRX and see if it will fit. They look kick a$$, and it will be nice to clear my knees...

2 quick questions: Is the stock hardware on the grab bar long enough to use with this grab bar? Do i need to buy longer harware? is any included? Will it fit a trx70? Haven't had a chance to go look at the grab bar mounting on mine... Thanks, will be buying a couple of each @ regatta on top of the ones I ordered...

Gonna try and get out there sometime early Thursday afternoon. Rollin solo, so it would be cool to jump in on a run... BTW Pete, I'll have two bikes out there if Anna feels like jumpin on the TRX70 for a race or two I'll rent it to ya for the price of a cold one...

FINALLY confirmed my vacation request today! Looks like I'll be rolling in solo on thursday afternoon/night. Had no time to finish my '82 but bringing out the stock unrestored '85 (on shiny new plastics, thanks Poule) :atc: , and Pete's old TRX .... Is it bad that a grown a$$ man is excited about going out and playing on kids' bikes?????

Just ordered this one as a handlebar mount. Don't know if it swivels and if the diameter will work for your cage. Guess I'll wait to get it and let a brutha kno! :B Handlebar Mount

I didnt want to spend the $ on a full system since I wasnt sure I liked this bike yet so I did a DR D slip on. Also did the GYTR billet filter adaptor and filter and GYTR needle and the same jetting specs as blue steel, and cam mod. I don't drag race but it feels a whole lot faster, keeps up with bikes with full system and sounds good IMO.

Not trying to answer for Pete, but these things don't take very long to tear down at all. Depends mostly on how much rust is involved...

That does help. Thanks! Looks like the 125cc manual clutch is the best bang for buck. I think that i'd have to trim the front fender or run without one with that engine tho. Unless i stretch the frame... Trying not to with this thing cuz i have another I want to keep all honda... I think I've read all the 70 posts on GD and didn't find a full thread on a conversion. I'll try hittin him up tho...
