Here's a funny stroy for everyone. I used to work at a bicycle shop here in Covina. Monday we get a phone call from a guy who wanted to purchase a $3000 bike over the phone (not un-common). So we take his credit card # and tell him we will charge a 10% deposit and the bike will arrive in about a week. He will have to come to the shop and show ID and we will charge the rest of the card before he can leave with the bike. We do this all the time, never had a problem. Wednesday, we get another call. The guy over the phone says "I just looked at my online credit account and noticed a $300 charge form your shop in Covina, CA" We say "Yes sir, that was the deposit for the bike that you ordered, it will be here friday afternoon." Guy says "Here's the problem, I never called or even came into your shop, I live in Ohio!" Us So the guy in Ohio cancels the charge and we call the cops and set up a small sting operation. The guy who ordered the bike calls us about a half hour before he comes in to make sure it's ready. We call the cops (who are right across the street) and they get set up around the corner. I have the bike in the work stand and two guys come in. Within 15 seconds of the two dudes walking through the door, about 10 cops swarm the shop. The look on the thiefs faces were priceless. They didnt even put up a fight, they knew what was up right away. Cops said they could get up to 10 years but will probably be back on the streets in 6 months.

I went to work at 5 this morning only to get turned around and go home. Billboarding and rain is no bueno. Thought about making a trip up the cajon pass to do some desert riding. I turned on the news to the reporter at the top of cajon in blizzard conditions. EFF THAT!!! I just went to bed and slept in.

Hey Sandawg, I hope you didnt take my post as an attack on you. Seems like ^this post^ was a little defensive. :angry2: I was simply stating the status quo of the off roading world (or world in general). To answer your question about about the draft and parenting, my answer is absolutly. Maybe not as drastic as the draft but like I said, I think some type of disceplenary school when kids are still impresionable would work great, but that's a whole other argument for a different day and place. Till then, OFF WEEKENDS are your friend.

I don't agree with the "inconsiderate, dont give a crap about anyone else" idea of thought and action that people have at the hill now. My buddy I work with (24 years old) has the same train of thought and it really pisses me off sometimes. I was raised by my parents to think about others before I think about myself. I drive defensively, I give people plenty of room to change lanes. If I go to the hill, I make sure I am in nobody's way and not impeding traffic. I party as much as anyone but I try and make sure I dont piss anyone off at the same time. It doesn't matter that you are considerate of other people anymore because they don't give a f**k about you. That's the way people think nowadays and it really sucks. All any descent person can do anymore is not get pissed off about the situation. Drink a beer and get over it is all you can do. MANDATORY DISCEPLENARY SCHOOL FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!

I went to Havasu with the fam. good riding untill my pops rolled bigtruckdrmr's 250 ex and cracked some ribs. Saw Randog on the way home today. Where's the pix, get those fuggers uploaded.

You really dont need to say anything else after the bold words. I've been amazed at the things those guys have told me when they were giving thier sales pitch. Morons! Berts is 2 minutes down the street from me, I make the 20 minute drive to Mountain Motorsports in Ontario.

I normally try to to get to a toilet before it gets to that point.

Nope, smoke for sure. All of the locals were complaining because of the "terrible" air quality. 1 hour. Very nice ride too. The sea's were calm matey, arrrgh!

So bigtruckdrmr and myself took a couple of days off for ourselves and I surprised her with a trip to Catalina Island. Spared no expense. Stayed at the Glenmore Plaze hotel right in town and walked to all the eateries and bars for happy hour and football. It was nice being there sunday through tuesday, practically no one there but the locals. I'm sure we brought down the averge age by a good 25 years though. Here are some pics. A Little smokey leaving Longbeach. about 3 miles from the island. Thin haze of smoke on the water. Hotel room and view. Happy hour sunset drinks along the water monday night. Cruise ship anchored tuesday made for a busy morning at all the shops along the water. Getting back on the boat to head home. About 200 dolphins playing in the wake, wish I had a nice SLR camera with zoom to get these guys jumping. Still pretty smokey in L.B.C.

Bigtruckdrmr and I took a trip to Hermosa Beach saturday night. It was pretty nasty down there. All of the smoke and ash pretty much just settled down by the beach. This is what it looked like sunday morning.

You should have gave them this pic, they would probably offer you a raise and a new job title.

This would be a little too much but a good idea. Why not make 2 lanes on the hill with some cones. Just one line up the middle and turning down the hill in opposite directions. Heavy's on one side and lights on the other. The idiots would probably still be idiots and cross lanes but I think it could help to a point. Now dont go and chastize me, it's just an idea out of my tiny little noggin.

I'm 22, turned it off after the 2nd song came on. Cool to watch though.
