Went to the Off Road Expo in Pomona sunday. Kind of a rip if you ask me, $12 per person and $8 to park for only 1 hall of stuff and some stuff outside. But the GLOBE OF DEATH made up for it. She's actually my girlfriend, that was an easy mistake though. She's 22 and can ride really good, she can follow me through most of the stuff I take her through on my 450. When I ride it, it feels way too narrow and I wouldn't want it to have much more power then it already has. I've gotten "loose" on it more than once. The main reason why we havn't spent alot of money on it is she is ready to get a 450, which she want's one by the start of next season. If you plan on holding on to it for awhile, go ahead and drop the money to make it more stable. It sounds like you want to keep it for her for awhile, which I would too if I were in youre shoes. I think I've spent about $150.00 on the jet kit and K&N.

Bigtruckdrmr has the same quad. I bought her the Dynojet kit and a K&N. Pulled the baffle and no lid on the airbox. It helped but still can't get her to the top of the bigger hills. I don't think a pipe would really help her out much more. I think it really needs a wider rear axle though, that would help out as far as the stability goes. I never looked at suspension since we never wanted to put that much into it since it's still to small to make it through "anything". Good luck.

So I've been thinking about how I can work it where all I need is the "tube" from the filter box to the motor. I don't need the whole kit since I technically already have a seperate filter box, like a cold air box. I just want the smooth, cool lookin metal tube. Anyone have any idea's of where to pick one up? Yeah, it looks like I'll be in the same situation as you. If you decide to go to Glamis, let me know. We can hook up and camp together. We'd like to get in one last trip there. If we can't come up with any other peeps to go with, we'll probably head to Dumont instead.

Damn Harley, there's no dunes in N.C., you must be going nutz out there. I rode Harley's with the Sparks, OMG that thing hauls azz. Ima gettin that one when I decide to waste money on a pipe.

Had a descent weekend with bigtruckdrmr. We got there about 8:30 saturday morning and pulled into Andy's (dune rat) camp, I think they were just waking up. Thank you again for taking us in, next time were bringing some food to add to the buffet, I felt like such a moocher. Tami got real comfortable on the LTR and decided to go for a 50' jump, not really. We were on the flats to the west of the south pole, she punched it over a little finger dune, the front end came up and threw her off on the downside of the finger. I didn't see it, I just looked back after about a 100' and she was already on the ground. Luckily there was a guy in a Rhino sittin on top of the finger that came down to check on her, thank you very much if you're reading this. She got the wind knocked out of her pretty good and a bruise on the butt with a sore back, but she was still able to take a ride in Andy's rail and had an absolute blast. I love my LTR. Comp was pretty dead all weekend but got to race a few guys, and girl on an LTR, and beat 'em all, without a pipe may I add. I was pretty happy. Got some pictures on Tami's camera so I will add them when I get my hands on it. P.S. Pete, you're site is the best man. I was able to find some awsome people to camp and ride with this weekend instead of going alone and having to risk theft or a being alone with a bad injury. It definitely serves it's purpose. Thank you.

Board seems a little dead lately, so I thought I'd show you guys some pics from the L.A. Colluseum today. There gettin all set up for the L.A. Dodger v. Boston Redsox memorial game. This place is friggin huge. It felt really cool to be in a place with so much history. I can't believe it was built in 1923 and the only stadium to host 2 olympic games. 6:00 am Backing the crane through the arches. A look at the baseball field. That is one short left field. This is one of the boards that we did. 30' wall to the left, 40' drop to the concrete below, all on a 18" ledge, fun times. The crane with the basket working on the Miller Lite ad that got ripped off form the wind. From field level. Another wierd thing, they HAND water the entire field with garden hoses. There were about 3 guys working in little sections.

Don't get me wrong it definetly wasn't perfectly smooth and not busy, I just expected it to be busier than it seemed. But that was my first presidents day, so more to be learned for me.

Welcome aboard According to everyone else the main weekends have been down in attendance compared to the last few years. President's day was the biggest weekend I've been so far and there was still plenty of room to camp and ride. Comp hill should be a descent turnout if your looking for a place to hang out and party. Don't forget the meet and greet and 2pm at the SOUTH POLE saturday afternoon.

I'll be out for sure with bigtruckdrmr. If I can get her to shift into 3rd on the LTR, he needs to take movies of her kicking arse at comp. I'm actually looking for people to camp with, so if anyone wants to join or doesn't mind 2 extra heads in thier camp saturday night, please PM me. I really don't want to camp alone, I don't trust leaving my rig alone with no trusted eyes on it. We'll be heading up early saturday morning and leaving early sunday morning.
