Personally, I'm a fan of this one They said HELL.

Thank you to all that have served. Without you there might not be a DDR or the toys to go play in the sand.

My g/f was a sexy schoolgirl, I was the Principal. Pics to come later.

Personally I think people should start video taping these rants and putting them on youtube or the videos page here. Like the dude that cried about Britney.

Hey, Look at my B-Day <<<<<<. And Now go back and look at my "Be Aware Of Other Camps" Thread. Were not all bad, I know of at least 3 people my age who respect the rules of D. But as a "Youngin", I know how my fellow peers are. And I apologize for my generation sometimes. I'm sure I will be kicked out of this "generation" for saying that. OH WELL.

TRT Meeting Nov 17th, 2007
ltr450rider replied to wsky70's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
I'm going to try my hardest. Should be able to make it. If any one from LA area is going, I either have an extra seat or I could use a ride. -
I'm with DuneFreak. You aren't going to be able to stop people from getting there or stop all the partying at the hill. What everyone who has an opinion on this needs to go to the TRT meeting and state it. If you want the LEO's to start enforcing the speed limit, let them know how many of us are serious about it and maybe they will start doing something about it. One person complains, big deal. 100 people complain, someone has to listen.

Sandrail wheelies into a Banshee on comp
ltr450rider replied to dunefreak's topic in Dumont Happenings
"Quote" Also, not to pick on you Cole, but who is teaching these guidelines to the newbies? I was actually surprised to hear you had to run the hill in one direction only. My one thought there was....."where are the traffic lanes and signs to tell you this BS?" I do have to say that I have only been riding since april of this year. That was actually my first trip to D as well. There was a definite flow of traffic on comp everytime I've been and it was easy to notice. This may change on the big weekends since I have only been to D on off weekends. I was a Olds in glamis this weekend and I couldn't believe the chaos on that hill. There was no way I was going up it. People were coming down and going up in every direction as well as rails doing whatever they pleased. I'm just trying to say I've been able to easily spot a "Flow" of traffic and follow it. -
I love my my LT-R450. the Suspension was stiff but you can tune it down real easy. They are fuel injected too so you don't have to jet it. There is a $30 computer module that you can buy where all you have to do is take off the lid of the air box and take out the spark arrester and you get somewhere around 5 hp. Talk to HarleyR, he has one with a full pipe and intake kit, he probably put $600 into his and he beat my stockie up comp all day. I'm 150lbs, He's about 270.

Not to go off topic again but they did that in the Channel at Havasu. It states the major laws and says NO TOLERANCE, which I can tell you all about some other time. It's cool too, They flip it open on weekends and it has air quality levels that the LEO's put a maker by a color and it tells you how long you can stay before it's unhealthy.

I usually get weds off but i'm 3 hours away. And I would have to convince the the dune loving girlfriend to let me go by myself since she has school mon-thurs. That's way harder than it sounds, trust me. I'll PM you if I ever get the chance.

This is true. I didn't get pictures becuase the camera broke down. Rangers actually had Paintball Guns with the pepper balls in them. We got out before they put them to use. I also wish D could remain that place where you can take your family and have fun without the worry of the idiots ruining your weekend. But it is destined to happen. Look at Havasu. My parents have had a house there since 1988. An off weekend was exactly that, the weekend that you could wait till 10 or 11 am to go to the launch ramp and sit in the channel all day and have room for kids to swim around next to the boats. Now it's insane. On ANY weekend suring the summer, if your not on the lake by 9 am, you cant get into the launch ramps. By 12:00, the channel is completely full and everyone already has a good buzz going. Sorry to go kind of off topic but the same will apply to D someday. Yes, you can b!tch and complain about it all you want, but there's really nothing you can do in the long run. Once Glamis gets to the point where there is no such thing as an "off" weekend, some of those idiots will say, "Hey, screw Glamis that place is crazy. Lets go to Dumont where the LEO's are alot more relaxed. We can party all we want there." It will happen. Not trying to sound rude but you just have to accept it and take advantage of the slower pace that D is now. Just my

The water is a good idea. They do it at Glamis at the Vendor row and the wash road. It helped out alot. They also have 5mph signs in the area that people seem to actually OBEY.
-
Hey Pete I posted my Glamis trip report in the Other Riding Spots section, Do I get a treat? Just Kidding.

BP-Guy, I get it, Border Patrol. Do you know a Gilbert Echevarria out of Yuma? He's my hook up on BP hats and I used to work with him. Those are some crazy pics man.

My bro has been working at a Ford dealership for 20 years doing front ends and alignments, as well as lift kits. He says the 6.0 dielsel is one of the crappiest motors his guys have seen. Lots of problems. Guys were comin to the dealership and throwing thier keys on the ground saying take it back. Dodge has thier problems too, but I would probably stick with the Dodge.

Sorry Harley, Headin to glamis this weekend. I'll let you know when we head to D again. Have fun and be carefull.

Hey DunJNKY, your not supposed to drink Coors Light on the job. Sometimes you have to know when to put it down, I know it's hard, but you gotta do it. Just kidding. You got a sweet job man.

I just want to know if Ragdoll MX's thread about "Human Rights/Cruel and Unusual" applies to the jerkoffs who started the fires on PURPOSE and displaced over 1500 families and caused one of the most expensive disasters in California state history. I don't think 3 meals a day, a bed, and a roof over thier head is what they really deserve. I mean, they took that away from those 1500 families, didn't they? Just my

dumont air quality this weekend
ltr450rider replied to MCGYVER's topic in Dumont Regulations, Safety & BLM
That's what I'm talkin' 'bout. The news says that winds are going to reverse and we'll be having an "onshore flow". That means all the crap that got blown out to sea is going to be blown back and drop right on us. Don't wash your cars for a week or two. -
Hey man. Me and your wife are just friends all right. You don't need to worry about anything. We actually have a business trip coming up in Hawaii, I'll make sure she's safe for you. And I would just change your sprocket, but it wouldn't hurt to change your chain. Just kidding, Just the sprocket would be good.
-
No but seriously that sucks. I'm a dog lover too and I hate seein pooches down and out. Hope you get him fixed up so he can chase many more cats.
-
I think this is the worst year for fires in a long time. I remember back when the Curve Fire was burnin in Azusa Canyon above my house. It took a week to burn 45,000 acres. I hear the Canyon country fire already burned 30,000 in 2 days. That is crazy. Hope everyone gets out ok. I was in Ontario last night and there were a few gusts of wind but nothin major. When I got to the 10 freeway at vinyard the big a$$ flag at MarkChristopher Chevy was standing strait out. And there isn't so much as slight breeze here in Covina. That's weird.

That must have been on the extreme right side of the hill. I went up many times on the weekend of the 13-14 and there were some whoops at the top. I hit them a few times but they seemed pretty big and I really just rolled over them. I saw a few rails that hit them too. But that wind this weekend probably changed that. good tip, I will definitly watch it closer.
