I would like to do some kind of a dune race. Just a fun club thing to do, no money involved, just what we need to get a permit or whatever we need to make it happen. I don't know if there is already something like that in place, if so, can someone let me know so I can check it out. I saw a video of one at pismo once and it looked really cool. And if anyone is down for a So Cal club let me know.

Wish I could make it this year. My mom is El Presidente's assistant and I get to go to the awards banquet. But work seems to be more important for some reason . I think someone should post some pics so we don't have to wait for six months untill speed channel skims over the show for an hour.

I'm glad to see there are a few good people left in the world. July 3, 1993 my mom was riding backseat on a seadoo when she fell off right in front of the opening to the channel between Crazyhorse and Windsor 4, our whole group was day camping at Windsor 4. Her friend never noticed that she fell off and kept going. While my mom was waiting to get picked up a drunk Temple City sherrif was planing out his 24' Hallett when he ran her over. Her left arm and leg were nearly severed completely. Sherrif's buddy was on a jet ski behind him when he saw my mom pop up. He stopped and flagged down a boat with a family with young kids and they pulled my mom on deck, a friend of ours saw the scene and jumped on the boat with the family. From what I hear he had to pretty much hold her leg together on the ride over to Crazyhorse. They airlifted her to Pheonix where they were able to save everything, Thank God for some amazing doctors, my mom is walking almost like nothing ever happened 6 months later. The guy on the jet ski raced to the launch ramp to the sherrif and told him he ran someone over. The jerkhole went to check his stainless steel prop for damage, because human bone can bend a steel prop at 8,000 rpm. The sherrif got home and finally started believing his jetski buddy and pounded a few beers before they called PD to make it look like he had been drinking at home and not on the lake. We heard this part of the story from the jetski guy who is no longer friends with the TC Sherrif. If not for the few good samaritans like Bob, my mom could have ended up like the poor guy who got run over. I was 7 when that happened and I remember the whole scene like it was yesterday. I always think about the people who stopped and helped. I thank them everyday.

I was filming a car goin up comp around 2:45pm, gets about 1/4 way up and you can hear some nasty pops and it shut down. I then watched your car doin wheelstands up comp (sweet), then you guys were standin around. I didn't get it on tape but I saw someone walk down the hill and pick something up.

I would if I could, I need to buy a new editing program for the new computer with Windows Vista. I'll send it when I can.

My buddy rolled his 4 seater turbo subaru last halloween the same way along sand highway. Stuffed it, front spindles sheared, and barreled it 3 more times. We all walked away luckily. And we were only there for 2 hours. Had pics on old phone put it took a dump a few months ago.

Right On! Pics look like from havasu at crazyhorse, But the jetty with the palm tree in the back doesn't look familiar. Oh well, who cares, It's riding season, not river season.

I just remembered about my airsoft guns. I should break 'em out again. Good idea.

Whats up. Harley found me sat morning and we went to the south pole lookin for you but we were probably a little late. Next time.

I was by crapper 3. It wasn't the peeps on the dunes they were far enough away. There was a camp of about 5 cars and two campers that tore it up for about 3 hours. When we woke up in the morning there was a few tracks about 10 feet away from my trailer and I know for a fact that they weren't puttin to the bathroom. They were buzzin by in 4th gear all night and drag racing for a good hour. I know that your always going to have idiots wherever you go and you just have to put up with them, I'm not new to that idea. I'm just tryin to blow off some steam and make it known to some people who probably have never thought about it. And big weekends will never scare me away, I just drink more to put up with it.

I would just like people to know that it sucks when other campers like to race 20' away from your tents at midnight. If you want to haul a$$ and do donuts with your toys, go where people aren't trying to sleep. I'm sure this doesn't affect most people on this site but just think about being curteous to others. And remember that when sunrise comes around, I don't mind buzzin your camp a few times to let you know how I feel about it.

My stock chevy s-10 with highway tires and a flatbed with 2 quads and gear can make it no problem. I parked over by bathroom three this weekend and I didn't spin my tires once. Check out the camping area grid map, there is a link on the DDR homepage to it. Welcome to the site and have fun out there.
