  1. A not needed suggestion........ but just buy an air bed type mattress and forget the installation of a bed that can get in the way and cost you a lot of money and aggrivation trying to locate and installl.. Presented by a cheap, old bast*rd that has been there done that type of thing!!!
  2. Next week I will be recieving two new 2013 Calif. Non Resident permits in the mail. I ordered them on line not knowing that I won't need them after I get the Rahino and Rail registered. That process has been started and I should be legal befor the first trip Halloween. So if you are going to need a sticker for 2013 contact me to save yourself a trip and possibly be charged extra for the permit. There are $30 each and I do have two of them coming. I can deliver them in the Vegas area if needed or just put them in the mail for you. I paid shipping and a service charge but will not pass that on. Some vendors charge extra for the permits in Vegas. I have to assume that some will be waiting to register their toy until the last minute prior to the deadline to register Nevada OHV's in July 3013, well after the Dumont riding season. Thanks, Pat
  3. I don't look at it as if I'm getting raped. Before this new legislation I couldn't get insurance for my toys since Nevada used to be a non title state for ohv's. Now I can get a title for both of my toys and insurance. Plus it's 10 bucks less than the non resident sticker for Calif every year.
  4. I can't believe I didn't notice, with all the posts refering to registering an OHV, that the only thing I needed to worry about registering was my Rhino. After going through the hassel of registering the Rhino that I have register my Sandrail too. This will make in unnessary to purchase the California Non Resident permit. Nevada is now a title state also if you want. This might mean we can insure our sandrails too. Did everyone else know this except me???? In Nevada it does apply to all offroad vehicles. Duh!!! YOu all in Nevada probably already know this. I'm going back to taking my daily nap now. Boy do I feel stupid! Feel free to think I'm an idiot!
  5. Thanks guys. It was the fuel pump. After 5 seasons of running it it finally took a dump. Believe or not Ridenow gave me a discount after I told them how horrible their reputation was in Henderson and all the negative comments posted on this forum..They do have new management so we'll see how it goes. They are handy for me. Put the new pump on and it started to pump and fill the filter immediately and started shortly after that. So a filter and oil change and greas job I'm ready for the 13 season. Now I can get it on the trailer and take it to DMV on American Pacafic and get the vin verified and send off my 20 bucks and get it registered. I didn't know that if it was registered I didn't need to buy the non resident tag. So if anyone wants one handy to Henderson give me a shout and it's yours for the 30 bucks I spent for it. I had asked a hiway patrolman that lives doen the street from me if he would do it since I have the form and any trooper can do it but he said his sergeant didn't want them to do it for their neighbors. He said let them drive it to the DMV.....Nice guy huh????
  6. Hate to have to go to Ride Now to buy this! On line they are cheaper but they nail you for frieght making it the same price as Ride Now......70 bucks. Any one know of a resonable priced place to pick one up???? Have heard of good and bad about the electric fuel pumps........" I'm so Confused ".........
  7. I'll do it in the morning Pete if no one beats me to it!
  8. Whoa there for a bit Mr..........You have more medical miracles implanted in your old tired torn up body than I will ever have. At least I don't have to sit down to pee or take a pill to get it up.............I'm sorry I said I'd never tell that one! My bad! Any how, if you live to be my age, and were in as close to the shape I'm in, you will certainly be enshrined in the Smithonian ..
  9. She loves me........and she's not near as old as me. How could I not cherish Jodie!!
  10. I've tented twice in my many years of Duning at Dumont. I would rather take a good hard kick in the crotch than ever do it again!
  11. Way to go Steve, Have fun and stay safe!!!
  12. Saw the Can Am 4 seater that will be introduced next year. It has awsome looks and is sturdy and 101 hp should be great for us old folks. Rocket really loved it and is waiting for it to get all the bugs worked out of it before they introduce it. Looks like it will be under 20K by quite a bit. The high point for Rocket at the Sand Show this weekend. Still no VW stuff for me but found a new 5th wheel I sure would like to get. If wishes were money it would be in my yard now!
  13. Probablyi not worth the effort. YNOT is tired from his travels and won't be able to come up with anything entertaining for some time. Then it will be marginal at best!
  14. Ouch!! Man your super nice vacation didn't do a thing for your disposition ! I think the pork chop item would fail badley. The dogs are like me and have no teeth to chew a chop. And as far as the wife, it's better that she ignores me. :peek:
  15. ynot, on 12 September 2012 - 09:30 PM, said: Glad to hear your excited aboplanning on thail on the dunes. Are you ut the season Pete. I was afraid you had thrown all your efforts into dual sport and you might be weekend before Halloween? Terry :saywha:
  16. It is a great article and I appreciate that Neal saw fit to use a photo he took of me and H Town Performance, from Henderson this last season. Good thing I do drive a VW rail! Cool to be in a national magazine. Kids and friends got a kick out of it~ Thanks Neal p.s.Henerson is right next to Hendertucky in Nevada just up the road from Henderson.
  17. Gee Terry it must be hell to take a vavation in your coach and the dogs won't have anything to do with you and the wife won't either. Then you return home so you can get on DDR and try and poke me for attention. It is a seriously sad life you have and I am deeply sorry. Is there aything I can do to help you out???!
  18. I wan't to make a day trip so I can break in and test my new motor so I will watch this thread to see just when and if anyone will go to Dumont. The weather is key to me as is Dumont because Coral and Armagosa don't have long enough runs to break in the motor.
  19. I haven't taken the drive for many many years but my family did it this summer in July coming back from visiting relatives in Washington State. Nice Vid Steve!
  20. Shouldn't be a problem using certain window washer fluids that are rated for about 25 degrees below "0" Just have to read the contents closely to make sure there are no other additives besides methanol and water.! ! ! !
  21. It really depends on the weight of the rail especially when loaded with 4 people. My first rail was a turbo 1641 cc 2 seater and I had a ball with it. I still drive a 2 seater with a 2110 and a turbo and I can drive it in a respectable manner. Again the weight, boost, gearing, and tire size will be the determining factor on just how fast you can go. Pat
  22. I am sincerelly hopefull that Shelly has a great vacation and glad she took her "three" dogs with her. Have a safe trip.
  23. That would give my life some purpose Steve. Thank You. Your not going to be one that drives over me are you. Being so old my bones are brittle and you are.....shall we say......Oh..........never mind!
